Current Listings
Each internship varies in cost based upon the location, length and type of compensation the internship
offers. These cost will include expenses such as: travel cost, food, lodging, visa, travel insurance, local
transportation, etc. There is a $1000 partnership fee that is required upon acceptance of any GBI
internship.
EAST ASIA
GBI EAST ASIA 1
Location: East Asia
Term: Six months
Team size: Two interns
Estimated budget: $1,000/month plus $1000 startup cost. Company will provide intern housing. [+
application fee ($25)] [+ partnership fee ($1000)]
Required: Must be at least a sophomore to apply (with two completed years of study at
college/university)
Positions for: Audio algorithm engineers, firmware engineers, software engineers and sales and
marketing specialists
Other qualifications: Must exemplify high standard of values and morals in all areas of life. Must be a
positive and flexible team player. Music lovers preferred.
Project overview:
China initially opened up to foreign workers in the 1980s and since then, through rapid economic
development, it has become an important location for foreign investment and employment, especially in
the tech world.
Young but fast-growing company designs and manufactures music industry products. A portion of the
company’s products incorporate digital audio. Company seeks interns to join the engineering team. This
is not a “gopher” position.
Also available is a position for a motivated marketing specialist, someone who can make a large impact
with a relatively small budget.
Several company employees are conversational in English, and the overall office atmosphere is generally
open for sharing the good news.

GBI EAST ASIA 2
UNPAID INTERNSHIP
Location: East Asia
Term: 10 weeks in East Asia
Team size: One to two interns
Cost: Approximately $5500.00 USD (fundraising required) [+ application fee ($25)] [+partnership fee

Project overview:
One to two interns are needed to help promote and operate tours for the international and domestic
clients of an adventure tourism company based in East Asia. Time will be spent between the main office
in the city and the main area of operations in rural areas of the province six hours away where the
company is currently working toward opening a branch office.
Interns will serve with the business staff on the ground and also participate with some voluntourism
teams from the U.S. who will work on community development projects in the area. Trekking, mountain
biking and camping will be a part of life and work throughout the summer. Interns will also be
responsible for developing relationships and contacts among locals for the purpose of impacting them
positively with Truth.

GBI EAST ASIA 3
UNPAID INTERNSHIP
Location: East Asia
Term: March-November, 2016 or 2017
Team size: One to two interns
Cost: Field operating expenses, $9,500 USD (fundraising required). Airfare and insurance are additional

paid. There is possible assistance to subsidize overall costs.

in outdoor-related activities is helpful.
Project overview:
Join a fast-growing adventure tourism company in East Asia. One of the first of its kind, it is pioneering
the development of adventure tourism in the high-mountain regions of East Asia and leading the region
in inbound tourism for adventurers as well as outdoor experiential education programs for international
schools in the province. The business is also using its for-profit model to lead community development
initiatives as a part of corporate social responsibility. These initiatives currently include agriculture
projects and there is a desire to expand opportunities in environmental development as well.
Interns will serve with the business staff on the ground in any capacity needed and also participate with
some voluntourism teams from the U.S. who will be working on community development projects in the
area. Trekking, mountain biking and camping will be a part of life and work throughout the summer.
Interns will also be responsible for developing relationships and contacts among locals for the purpose of
impacting them positively with Truth.
Specific responsibilities will depend on the experience of the student or students involved. There are
currently needs in accounting, marketing, web design and social media marketing, outdoor education and
overall business management. Time will be spent in the city, where the main office is located, and in rural
areas of East Asia, where most of the company’s clients go for touring. Interaction with all staff
members, clients and partnering organizations will be necessary. Must be good with people.
The goal of any student involved in this internship will be to serve the company and help in any capacity
needed. The greatest need in the next two years is to help with the internal structure of office and
business management and facilitate the growing number of clients who are touring with this company.
This is not just a desk job. You will work in the office and be regularly out among people. Flexibility is
key. You will gain experience in multiple aspects of this growing company with its multi-ethnic staff.

Position: Family Counselor
Location: Hohhot, China
Term: 1 Year (June 2016 – July 2017)
Team size: One-two (1-2) interns
Cost: $10,000 (fundraising required) + application fee ($25) + partnership fee ($1000)
Compensation: Stipend of $500-1000 per month depending on client load.
Required: Must have completed a degree in counseling or therapy.
Preferred majors: Counseling
Other qualifications: Must exemplify high standard of values and morals in all areas of life. The interns
will need to set aside some cultural paradigms and learn about the nuances of the local culture to be able
to understand and counsel them through issues.
Project overview: China is full of its own family issues and problems. Interns will have the opportunity
to counsel individuals through their issues and direct them toward continued healing. Interns will also
provide counseling training to locals who do counseling, but have little training. A translator will be paired
with each intern, working together to build clientele and communicate with clients. A stateside mentor in
the counseling field will be provided for interns who can coach and work through some of the counseling
issues interns may encounter.

Required: Must have completed a degree in Speech Therapy or within a semester of completing degree.

need to be flexible and look into the underlying problems and help set goals even when they don’t
understand the language.
Project overview: Provide speech therapy services for Chinese and Mongolian children with speech
delays or language disorders, as well as coaching their parents to be able to continue working on their
speech development once internship is complete. Weekly job duties will include a day at an orphanage to
work with the children and staff, as well providing speech services to other foreigners in the city who
have children with speech issues. Interns will work closely with a translator and have the unique
opportunity to work with people on the family level. Caring and helping families opens interns up to be a
great person of influence in their life. It is a great opportunity to get a lot of experience with a variety of
speech issues and concerns.

Project overview: Nothing happens until someone sells something. Interns will be implementing the
company’s marketing strategy and sales strategy to acquire more customers. Interns will be in charge of
measuring the effectiveness of various strategies in order to help the company put its marketing
resources in the right areas. They will work closely with our Chinese staff, both in learning how they sell
and teaching various sales skills. They will also work to improve, update, and create the content for our
website under the guidance of the manager. Position also includes networking to develop new
business. Interns will learn how to market for direct measurable results in a different culture.

Preferred majors: Animal science, Agribusiness, Equine studies, business, or marketing.
Other qualifications: Must have knowledge of the horse industry. Need to be able to interact with
people of power and influence without compromising your beliefs. Familiar with horse breeding and
lineage is highly valued in this position.
Project overview: China has a quickly growing horse industry. Intern will interact with people of power
and influence in China, helping this demographic purchase high quality horses from abroad. Intern must
be familiar with horse breeding and lineage. Interns need to be able to steer our clients toward good
horses and honest salesmen. Interns will also help design horse stables, barns, and corrals. They will
work closely with a Mongolian equine genetics professor.

Project overview: Gain first-hand experience and exposure to numerous aspects of our international
sports consulting and development company. The internship is located in our International Office in
Limassol, Cyprus. The intern’s efforts will be collaborating with and supporting the International Office
Staff and field representatives and affiliates. GSP intends to provide interns with positive learning
experiences in these topical categories: Operational procedures, branding, marketing, negotiations,
contract process, personnel management, government regulations, collaborative problem-solving,
partnerships and filial relations, international banking requirements and strategic decision-making toward
achieving priority objectives

MIDDLE EAST
GBI MIDDLE EAST APPRENTICESHIP
Location: Middle East
Term: One to two years
Team size: Two apprentices
Cost: TBA. Apprentice is responsible for funding own transportation to the field, language study cost,
medical insurance, personal travel, food and entertainment (fundraising required) [+ application fee
($25)] [+ partnership fee ($1000)]
Compensation: Company pays Visa cost, local work transportation, housing and utilities and stipend of
$500/month

Project overview:
Apprentices will work 20-40 hours per week providing accredited first-response and first-aid medical
training to both government agencies and businesses. Region is drastically underdeveloped in this level of
medical training. For example, a common cause of death is drowning due to the limited number of people
trained in CPR. Providing needed medical training has opened significant opportunities to share Truth.
Apprentices will serve together on a team. Apprentices will report to general manager and be responsible
for numerous aspects of the business (medical training, product promotions, web design, etc.). While
working with company, apprentices will also build relationships with Middle Eastern university students
and peers.
SOUTHEAST ASIA
GBI SOUTHEAST ASIA 1
Location: South Asia
Term: Five months
Team size: Two interns

Compensation: Our group will pay for round-trip tickets to city, provide housing and utilities for free
and $250/month for living expenses (groceries, etc.)

positive and flexible team player. Must be familiar with one of the following skills: graphic design
background, video/audio editing, Adobe Photoshop, web design/programing, marketing/advertising,
Salesforce/data entry, Google Adwords.
Project overview: Internship will be based in Thailand using creative means to give individuals in the
middle east digital access to study material. Many of our methods for doing this involve using the
internet, social media, phone apps, and online advertising. We are looking for a hard worker that is
willing to learn (many of the tasks involved will be new no matter what training you have had) and be
willing to do whatever is necessary to help. Participate in several major projects: 1.) Creating a
website 2.) Creating an online radio streaming station 3.) Creating an online study/ correspondence
program 4.) Continue editing audio and video resources to use in social media and website.

RUSSIA
GBI RUSSIA
UNPAID INTERNSHIP

Location: Nalchik, Russia
Term: 12 weeks (June – August 2016)
Team size: One intern

Compensation: (Unpaid) As a official intern of Onsight you will have all fees waived associated with the
gym and it’s sponsored events, including excursions into the mountains.

Other qualifications: Must exemplify high standard of values and morals in all areas of life. Must be
a self-starter who can observe what we are doing, think through how to improve what we are doing and
then be part of implementing the improvements. Being flexible, humble and an active servant to the
people around them are highly valued. Having experience and/or knowledge of advertising and marketing
will be useful. Experience with photography, videography, design and/or graphics for advertising will be
helpful. Any combination of the above-mentioned skills, degrees, coursework and experiences will
greatly benefit the intern in the work they will be involved in for Onsight.
Project overview: Onsight is a brand new business that is in the process of developing every aspect of
its operation. Communication is a key component of every successful business as it markets itself and its
products. For a business, knowing how to communicate effectively to its target market and then learning
how to analyze its results is necessary. In today’s society, more and more communication is through
social media and online. Your role with Onsight will be to join our team in the development and
promotion of competitions, events and activities through social media, web presence and marketing
strategies. You will also take part in analyzing our effectiveness and help think through how to improve
upon what we are doing. In this role with Onsight it is our hope that you will gain experience in problem
solving and analysis, effective communication and customer research. It is our hope that we can learn
from you how to improve our business operation to reach more and more people within our city and
republic. Your input will be sought after and valued. Your impact upon the successfulness of Onsight will
contribute to the team’s ability to meet people and share life with them. Ultimately, it is our desire that

About the Company: Onsight is a newly opened climbing gym that organizes sporting competitions,
trainings and cultural events. Sporting competitions and trainings are held at the gym, within the city of
Nalchik and throughout the republic of Kabardino-Balkaria. Cultural events are held at the coffee shop
that is located within Onsight’s gym facility. The goal of Onsight is to provide a unique outlet for people
of Kabardino-Balkaria to be involved with sport, fitness and social interaction for the betterment of
themselves and their community.

(4) spots are open for Engineering and Business majors. Interns will work 40 hours per week projects at
Electrex and/or Seat King for six (6) weeks. They will live in Wichita, Kansas and will travel to Hutchinson each day for work. Then interns will spend eight to ten (8-10) days on a discovery trip to East Asia to
observe a business and personally interact with the leadership of the business. Company leadership desires to mentor interns in how to engage the marketplace well, to effectively and holistically integrate
business and personal values. Interns will be exposed to several aspects of this business and will receive the necessary training to carry out their roles. Interns will spend 6 additional hours per week for 6 weeks
in training program in Wichita, Kansas.

GBI WICHITA - FOCUS
PAID INTERNSHIP Organization: FOCUS International
Location: Wichita KS for internship, training program and residence | East Asia for business discovery trip.

required), Exceptional communication; both verbal and written. Job Description: Join the FOCUS International staff for 6 weeks and take part in creatively thinking and
strategizing the next steps of FOCUS. We are looking for a person to develop and implement a marketing strategy for FOCUS training/consulting services. Under the direction and supervision of FOCUS
staff you will collaborate with the Strategy Group (a local marketing company) to compose a marketing
