Introduction

• The core of the syllabus is the 24 moral values

• The 24 values are divided categorized into 5 major fields of study

Self-development Family Nature Patriotism Peace and harmony

• These values are presented in detail in textbooks and form the basis of corresponding examinations

• Each value is defined by the Education Ministry

National Moral Education Philosophy

• Area of philosophy concerned with theories of ethics, with how we ought to live our life’s

• Divided into three areas which is normative ethics, and applied ethics

• Is a discipline of philosophy which uses the tools of human reason to inquire into these questions of what should and shouldn't be done with and to others person

Three teaching objectives:• Students will be able to understand the moral values• Students will be able to understand the self-esteem• Students will be able to cope with the society

• Being aware with the environment that relate to the moral values especially self-esteem • Being respectful towards community in order to have peaceful life • Apply the spirit of patriotism among youth based on moral education

Three pedagogy methods that are recommended

• A group activity that relate to moral education, practice and make homework about the activity.

• Create a folio assignment that combined all the moral values based on the textbook syllabus.

• In teaching and learning process, teachers should ask their students to memorize the moral values and represent it in front of others.
