As a member of faculty I have been involved in setting up structures and policies necessary to

have smooth learning of undergraduates in Child Health and Paediatrics in this relatively new

medical school.

I am also an Honorary Consultant Paediatrician, Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital, Nairobi. This

is one of the Teaching Hospitals for JKUAT Medical School. In this hospital I do ward rounds,

cover the unit while on call as well as run outpatient paediatric clinic

In May 2013, As an Exchange Teacher, rotated in Linkoping University Hospital, Children Hospital and

spend most time in the neonatal unit.

In July 2013, appointed examiner in Paediatrics for final qualifying examination of Diploma in Clinical

Medicine, Kenya Medical Training College, Eldoret campus

Nov 2014- March 2016: Honorary Paediatrician, Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH). Involved

in patient care both in the inpatient and outpatient set up. I have also taught at the MTRH training institute

as an Honorary Lecturer for the Higher National Diploma in Paediatrics.

Sept 2011-Oct 2014: Registrar in Paediatrics- Involved in ward rounds in paediatrics, running of paediatric

outpatient clinics at the Moi Teaching & Referral Hospital.

As an Exchange Postgraduate student in Paediatrics, from August 2013 spend 4 months at the Riley

Children’s Hospital and Methodist Hospital both in Indianapolis, US.

2009– 2010: Medical Officer, Ministry of Health, Kenya, stationed at Meru General Hospital.

1n 2010, taught as a part time lecturer department of clinical medicine, Kenya Methodist

University, where I was involved in teaching Diploma students of Clinical Medicine.

I was also involved in school wide activities including conducting tutorials as well as field

Member of a group of Health Workers involved in the Review of Paediatric Protocol in Kenya from 2013.

In 2015 involved in a review of two neonatal treatment guidelines now adopted by Ministry of health,

Kenya.

In 2013 involved in reviewing the paediatric treatment guidelines

Participated in MMED (Child Health and Paediatrics) curriculum review workshop in 2013.

I was involved in selection of Clinical Officer Interns for 2010 in Meru General Hospital.

I was a member of Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS Committee in the Meru

General hospital, Kenya, 2010.
