Radiology Research Laboratory, University of Arizona:

1. Implement and validate small-animal models of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury and develop molecular imaging techniques to detect and quantify the injury and its development

2. Determine the effects of cardioprotective strategies using molecular imaging techniques

3. Explore the tumor-targeting properties of novel radioligands in animal models of human cancer and characterize the properties of these radioligands for evaluating tumor response to chemotherapy

4. Investigate the impacts of transplantation route on stem-cell outcome and track stem cells non-invasively

5. Develop bi-specific cytokine radioligands for inflammation imaging

1. Optimized the most effective radiotracer for differentiating recurrently infarcted nonviable from stunned and low-flow viable myocardium
