Educational Qualifications

Secured first division and scholarships from High School onwards; including

the JRF and SRF of UGC. Graduated from Lady Shri Ram College of Delhi

University and completed Post Graduation and M. Phil from Aligarh

Muslim University, Aligarh; and PhD on Society and Culture in Braj

Region in 16th

-17th Centuries, from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.

Current areas of interest are study of History as a life coach, inter-faith

dialogue, society and culture, gender issues and revisiting of Primary

sources of History.

Teaching Experience

1. Lecturer of History at the Indian Military Academy at Dehradun.

(1997-1999 Ad-hoc Post).

2. Joined Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi as a Lecturer of History

(Medieval) in 1999 and is presently working for the same institution

as a Professor. Have taught numerous papers on themes related to

Medieval Indian History and Medieval World: Politics, Economy,

Society, Culture and Gender at graduate and post-graduate levels.
