Catalyst: I have done filming for Catalyst on 4 occasions including a 4 minute “profile”

of my scientific work (2008), an 8 minute feature on the myth of the white-tail spider bite

(2005), a 10 min segment on antivenom (2105), and a segment on the treatment of blue

bottle stings with hot water (2008).

Local television (NBN): I have been interviewed for News stories on blue bottle stings,

spider bite and snake envenoming.

Channel 9: “What’s Good For You” about treatment of blue bottle stings.

ABC Kids: I have provided advice to the ABC children’s programs regarding spiders.

Radio interviews: I have done over 100 radio interviews including BBC, local ABC radio,

Radio National, State and country ABC radio and commercial radio stations in

Newcastle, Sydney, and all capital cities in Australia

Radio features: “Background Briefing”; Local Newcastle Radio morning features on bites

and stings.

Newspapers: I have had extensive coverage of my research in newspapers around

Australia, with media releases for publications, media releases at conferences and as the

contact point for Government media releases for Bites and Stings each Summer.
