Highlights of major contributions

Concieved and implemented M.Pharm Course in Pharm Management and Regulatory

Affairs and got it approved for first time in AICTE at Lachoo college, 2004.

Conceived and established an R & D centre cum Public testing laboratory approved

by Gujarat and Central Drugs Control authorities, at Shri Dhanvantary Pharmacy

College, 2006.

As a Dean faculty of Pharmacy Ganpat University, convened the revision of degree

and PG syllabi. Worked as a core committee member for Accreditation by NBA and

NAAC 2008. Introduced semester scheme and grade system of evaluation 2009.

Made tie-ups with industrial giants Cadila & Zydus to offer Ph.D for their scientists

and get PG projects of our students done at their R&D centres 2008.

Introduced PG Diploma courses in clinical trials in collaboration with Excellon

Institute to ensure on the job training 2010.

At Lachoo College, assisted in preparation and execution of AICTE MODROBS

project (10.0 Lakh). Co-Coordinator ISTE sponsored 2 week SDP for pharmacy

teachers. Co-convenor of PCI Golden Jubilee Workshop for Retail Pharmacists.

Coordinator of two day Workshop on Challenges and Opportunities for Indian

Pharma Industries and organised first of its kind Intellectual property fair for

exploring industrial takers of PG projects at B. R. Nahata College 2005.

Coordinator of two day National Seminar on Green Pharmacy organized in April

2005 in collaboration with Rajasthan Ayurvedic University at B R Nahata College of

Pharmay.

Coordinator of two day National Seminar on Impurity profiling and Bioanalysis

(75,000/- grant from AICTE) 13-14 Feb ’09 at S K Patel College of Pharm

Education and Research.

Convener of 2 Day National Seminar on “Quality assurance issues in drug

and Rs 0.70 L another one from Gujarat Multi Gas Based Chemicals, Mehsana for

Milk powder preservative studies worth Rs. 10,000/. Analytical method for herbal

formulation for Vasu Healthcare Ltd, Vadodara.

Received Rs 17.0 L grant as Principal investigator of RPS from AICTE at Ganpat

University 2010.

Received Rs 14.5 L grant as Principal investigator of RPS from AICTE at Babaria

Institute of Pharmacy 2012.

Brief Profile of Dr. S. S. Pancholi

S S Pancholi, Professor at College 0f Pharmacy, Jazan University was Principal of Babaria

Institute of Pharmacy(2010-2014), has earlier served as Professor & Head, Quality

Assurance, at S K Patel College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Ganpat

University, Kherva, Mahesana(2007-2010). He also held the position of Dean, Faculty of

Pharmacy of Ganpat University. Dr. Pancholi has a blend of industrial, academic and

research experience. Served Core Healthcare Ltd. for 2 years as TQM officer and lead the

team for ISO certification. He is in Pharmacy teaching profession since 1997 and has

worked in different capacities at Lachoo College, Jodhpur, B R Nahata College, Mandsaur,

Dhanvantary College, Kim, Ganpat University, Babaria Institute and presently at Jazan

University.

He is a 1993, graduate (B.Pharm.) from B N Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Udaipur.

He has worked on “Chromatographic fingerprinting of Ocimum species” for his M.Pharm.

(Quality Assurance) supervised by Prof. C. J. Shishoo, and Prof. S. A. Shah, at L.M. College

of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad. His Ph. D Dissertation work was on “Preparation and

Characterization of Fast Dissolution Dosage Forms of Some Poorly Soluble Drugs”,

supervised by Prof. G.P. Agrawal, at Deptt. of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. H.S. Gour

University, Sagar. He is also a Law graduate (LLB) from JNV University, Jodhpur and has

obtained General Certificate on Intellectual Property from WIPO academy and PGDIPR

from IGNOU.

He has guided till now 28- B.Pharm. Projects; 30- M. Pharm. Thesis and 14- candidates

have received Ph.D. under his guidance and 3 are pursuing their research under his

supervision. He has to his credit 2 Indian Patents and 81 publications (33- international and

48- national) and 48 presentations in conferences and 21 invited lectures. He has been

invited in various seminars to chair the scientific proceedings. He has undertaken several

industrial, research and consultancy projects and convened QIPs and SDPs. He is active life

member of APTI, ICS and IPA. His interest includes- Formulation development, Analysis,

Quality management and IPR.
