3. Elected Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada in 2014. 4. Winner of the Outstanding Teaching Award, Faculty of Engineering, Université de Sherbrooke in

2013. 5. Chairholder Canada Research Chair in Earthquake Engineering in 2009. 6. Winner of the Adrien-Pouliot Award of the ACFAS in 2006, one of the highest honor in Quebec,

for scientific cooperation with France. 7. Winner of the Leonardo da Vinci Medal awarded by the Université de Sherbrooke for the title of

Builder in 2004. 8. Co-recipient of the Casimir Gzowski Medal of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering in 2004

for best paper on a civil enginering subject in the area of structural engineering for the article Seismic force modification factors for the proposed 2005 edition of the National Building Code of Canada.

9. Winner of the E. Whitman Wright Award of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering in 2003, award that recognizes the significant contribution by a civil engineer to the advancement of Innovation and Information Technology in Civil Engineering in Canada.

Volunteering 1. I visited Haiti one month after the Earthquake of January 12, 2010, to assess the damage to structures in

the cities of Port-au-Prince, Petionville, Leogane, Petit Goave, Grand Goave and Saint-Marc. I identified the main causes of damage and I included them in the courses that I gave in Haiti. I conducted tests on a 12-storey building of recent construction that has not collapsed, but was damaged moderately to severely. Two articles have been written and made available to the Haitian Engineers and Architects.

2. I taught two courses over a period of two weeks (Structural Dynamics and Seismic Design of Structures) to a group of 80 engineers and architects in Petionville in Haiti after the earthquake of January 12, 2010. This course was organized by the CUSM Foundation (Centre d’Union and de Services aux Municipalités). Free lecture notes were distributed to all participants.

3. I taught two courses over a period of two weeks (Structural Dynamics and Seismic Design of Structures) to a group of 30 engineers and architects of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training in Port-au-Prince and Petionville in Haiti after the earthquake of January 12, 2010. This course was organized by the Programme d’appui au renforcement de la qualité de l’éducation (PARQE) with a grant from the European Union. Free lecture notes were distributed to all participants.

4. I started a Cooperation Agreement between the Faculty of Engineering of the Université de Sherbrooke and the Faculty of Science of the Université d’État d’Haïti. I teach the course of Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering to graduating students from the Faculty of Science . The two books I published (Structural Dynamics and Design of concrete structures) are distributed free of charge to all students. A Joint Master's Program between the Université de Sherbrooke and the Université d’État d’Haïti about Earthquake Engineering is being developed, in which students will receive their training in Haiti and Quebec. I welcomed in my team, in 2010, a Postdoctoral Fellow from the Université d’État d’Haïti to receive training in Earthquake Engineering and perform technology transfer to Haiti. I also provided a grant to five Haitian students who are enrolled in Master's and they joined my team.

5. I developed a complete example of calculation for a two-story school in reinforced concrete for engineers from the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training of Haiti using Haiti seismic hazard maps that I developed for the Department of Public Works, Transport and Communications of Haiti. This example is available to all engineers and architects in Haiti.

6. I developed tools to calcute seismic forces in Haiti after the codes of Canada and the United States that are now recommended for the design of structures in Haiti. These tools are freely available to all Haitian engineers.

7. I developped the MNPhi software that is use to calculate reinforced concrete structures. This software is made freely available to Haitian Engineers.

8. I advise in the choice of a structural solution for the construction of the Museum of Anthropology in Port-au-Prince and the reconstruction of the National Palace, which collapsed during the earthquake. I assure volunteer calculations of this very complex museum in the context of Haiti earthquake.

9. I founded, with two other scientists in Haiti, the Association haïtienne du génie parasismique (AHGP) dedicated to training, research and development of construction standards.

10. I am working voluntarily on rebuilding schools in Haiti in collaboration with the Swiss Cooperation and the Inter-American Development Bank.

11. I lead a volunteer activity for Pareda Project for the reforestation of Artibonite in Haiti by the Jesuits.
