Background 1. Neuro-Linguistic Programming(NLP) was the catalyst that made a significant shift in direction in every aspect of Vas’s life. According to Vas, his life began when he was 46 years young. He felt cheated by life till then…..asking himself, “Why didn’t I know all of this till now?” Obviously, there was no answer. Well, he concluded that he didn’t need an answer. He founded Leading Performance Singapore and has developed it into a successful training company over 11 years operating in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Sri-Lanka & Maldives, through which he lives his Vision. Vas’s Vision: Helping people and organizations from all over the world align themselves so that they can Lead and Serve with distinction. Vas’s Motto: It’s all about Winning, No Limits. 2. Some of Vas’s accomplishments and track record:

a. Served the Singapore Armed Forces and retired early as a Major. He has always been involved in training reluctant minds to do dangerous things safely and efficiently. He trained officers to do complex tasks effortlessly. During his career as an Artillery Officer, Vas has been exposed to a myriad of complex systems, leadership and management models. He has undergone some of the toughest training that most soldiers would dread going through – the entire range Artillery training, Airborne, Ranger & Diver.

b. Having Mastered NLP, Hypnotherapy and many other mind sciences over the years, Vas brings to you legitimate and original material from the founding bodies (see above) with world-class certifications. To make it even better, he has innovated and adapted the Mind Sciences to the Asian psyche and context. Over the past 11 years, Vas has helped Corporations, Teams and Individuals (both adults & Kids) align themselves and achieve success in whatever they desired.

c. Vas is a staunch believer that the relationship between performance and leadership is tightly interwoven. His exposure to a myriad of leadership models over the years, his exposure to a complex spectrum of planning methodologies and having applied them in challenging environment, Vas has much to impart and he does so by artfully weaving these ideas into all his programs.

d. During his glorious years with the SAF, he served as the Coach, Manager and Mental Skills Trainer of the SAF Shooting Contingent (SSC) for more than 15 years. With the application of NLP, he helped the Singapore team to regain their winning edge by emerging as undisputed champions in the ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM) 2002. This is when & where his life transformed and a humble story began. His accomplishments are:

8. Elaboration of some of the above:

a. Mind Coaching the Saint Andrews Secondary School Rugby Team in 2003, with the support of other coaches, boosted them into the finals and on towards the championship trophy in 2004 and again in 2005.

b. From 2004, 2010 & 2011 he was hired as the Mind Trainer/Coach for the whole of Saint Andrews Village.

c. Mind Coaching of the SAFSA Soccer Team to Championship in the National Football League 2005.

d. Mind Coaching the Singapore Cyber Games Team to a Silver Medal performance in the World Cyber Games Meet 2005.

e. In 2005, he launched a customized NLP program for teachers from several schools in the Maldives, titled “Live the Life of a Champion Teacher” that was very well received and appreciated.

f. In 2006, he was instrumental in Mind Coaching the St. Andrews Junior College(SAJC) Rugby team to break a 17 year spell to win the National Schools Rugby Tournament, beating perennial favorites ACJC in the semis and RJC in the finals.

g. In late 2006 he was hired by the Maldivian Youth Ministry to train their Key Sports Officials and Personalities in Mental Skills.

h. In 2008, with the introduction of Rishi Firoz Vasanth, his son, they mind-coached both the St. Andrews Sec School’s(SAS) Hockey B & C division into the National Finals and secured an unprecedented Championship for the B Div and 1st Runner-up for the C Div. In the same year, they Mind Coached the SAJC Rugby A div team to a credible 1st Runner-up position, The SAS Rugby B Div Team to 2nd Runner-up position and C Div Team to 1st Runner-up positions.

j. Significant in 2009, he and his co-trainer/coach, Rishi Firoz Vasanth, made an

impactful contribution in ensuring the SAF Shooting Teams GPMG Team emerged as undisputed Champions in AARM’09 hosted by Singapore.

k. In accomplishing this task as a Mind Coach/Trainer, his communication skills were

stretched as he imparted complex mind skills and team dynamics to athletes of varying degrees of maturity and command of language. .

For the Students and Sports Teams he has co-created with Rishi two powerful 3-days camps called “Outstanding Achievers’ Camp”(OAC) and “Champions’ Camp. This program has taken root in Singapore, Malaysia & Vietnam. 12. Apart from Leading Performance Singapore, Vas has a sister company in Malaysia named MY Leading Performance Sdn Bhd. This company is used to front all projects in Malaysia. In 2012, Leading Performance will have a sister company in Vietnam. 13. In early 2011, Vas has introduced NLP into HoChiMinh City of Vietnam through VietMinds, a training provider which he helped to set up. Since then NLP has flourished in HCMC and spread to Hanoi. Vas’s vision is to establish a Mind Adventure Centre(MAC) in central Vietnam in 2 years. 14. Vas has been teaching reluctant minds to do dangerous things and brilliant minds to do complex multi-faceted feats for almost the entire duration of his Army Career(unique to the Singapore Armed Forces). Delivering training has been his forte all along. Not resting on his laurels, after retiring from the Army he attended 5 other internationally accredited trainers training. In his effort to share his wealth of experience in the art of delivery, Vas has designed and trained trainers who wanted to “raise their game”. This one-of-a-kind trainers training which focuses on connecting with the ‘unconscious’ of the audience is titled “Advanced Trainers’ Training – Impacting the Inner Mind”. 15. As a Personal Coach and Therapist, Vas helps his clients get rid of their worst nightmares and addictions. He works with a wide spectrum of people ranging from 08 years to 87 year old.
