GOSFORD TIMES 15.11.1917.
ROLL OF HONOR
CURTIS Killed in France on October 22nd, 1917, Arthur Pryor Curtis, dearly loved nephew of Mr & Mrs A. White, of Narara, and eldest son of Mrs Gould, Hampshire, England. Aged 29 years. Deeply regretted.
GOSFORD TIMES 14.2.1918.
Mr C. Hills, manager of the Commercial Bank, has just completed two memorial tablets to be presented by the Narara Soldiers Recognition Association to relatives of two Narara soldiers killed in action, viz, Sergeant A. P. Curtis, killed in action in France on October 22, 1917, and Private Harry A. Campbell, killed in action in France 9
th November, 1917. The tablets bear
excellent likenesses of the deceased soldiers. The designs, which are executed in water color, represent the typical Anzac in .?, bear-ing the Australian ensign, with a trumpeter is seen outlined against the dawn sounding are the Last Post. The tablets are works of art, and we congratulate Mr Hills upon the dexterity and originality displayed.
