Quilt Top Assembly9. Lay out the completed blocks in (6) rows of (6) blocks

each noting position and orientation of Blocks A, B and C in the Block Layout diagram.

10. Sew the blocks together in each row, then sew the rows together in order, following the Quilt Layout on page 8, matching adjacent seams. The quilt top should measure 721⁄2’’ x 721⁄2’’ (184.15cm x 184.15cm).

Finishing11. Layer the backing wrong side up, batting, and quilt

top right side up. Baste the layers together and quilt as desired. Trim excess batting and backing even with the top.

12. Sew together the Fabric F bias strips using diagonal seams. Press seams open, then press the binding in half lengthwise with wrong sides together.

13. Leaving an 8” (20.32cm) tail of binding, sew the binding to top of quilt through all layers matching all raw edges. Miter corners. Stop approximately 12” (30.48cm) from where you started. Lay both loose ends of binding flat along quilt edge. Where these two loose ends meet, fold them back on themselves and press to form a crease. Using this crease as your stitching line, sew the two open ends of the binding together right sides together. Trim seam to 1⁄4” (.64cm) and press open. Finish sewing binding to quilt.

14. Turn the binding to back of quilt and hand-stitch in place.
