Developed Nutrition Curriculum for training Service providers; “Nutrition Management in and HIV/AIDS” Currently being used as a National Training tool

. • Organized the technical working group (TWG) to provide needed

Successfully completed a FBP introduction survey in Health Facilities in Nyanza, Coast and Nairobi Province

Organized training for all centres on Food by Prescription Program

i. Organized meetings with the Management and notified them about the FBP program.

Develop the manual to be used at the call centre which included the four pillars of call centre (Understanding the key strategic issues of a world class call centre).

ii. Processes: To Establish Roles And Responsibilities, Defining Required Skill Sets & Training, Defining Business Rules, Cost Control, Forecasting and Capacity Planning.

I take 12 students every year in my Private practice and train them on obesity and cardiovascular disease. We take them through managing patients at the

clinic and carrying out community awareness activities in their villages, residential areas, the church they worship in and the school nearest to them, the internship is 3 months and students mentored are kept in our data base and we continuously work with them.

Participation in the Annual Nutrition Day for Children with Cerebral palsy (October 2001-2004)

Educate parents on the children’s nutritional needs and requirements. Educate the parents on how to care for their children,

Child Life Trust (1998 Nov- June 1999: )

A Charitable Organization dealing with Street Children • Survey the streets and try to get Children out of the streets • Visiting Charity homes and supervising cleaning, distributing food staffs,

and writing proposals for funding, Teaching, and cleaning. • Needs analysis and fundraising • collecting old clothes, books, shoes from the public and delivering to homes

Walk and Run to support the less fortunate (2001 – Present)

Every year I take part in at least 4 walkathons and 2 marathons to support the less fortunate.

• Diabetes walks; to support diabetes education and diagnosis. At this walk, I provide free nutrition education to persons walking.

• Detol Heart Run; a run to support heart surgery. • Standard Chattered marathon – to support sight and vision, surgery and

treatment. • Lewa Marathon: To support preservation of nature and animals in the

parks • Breast cancer walk: create awareness on Breast cancer, and encourage

women to go for medical examinations early enough • International Heart day: Walking and participate in assessing weight,

heights, BMI and educate people on importance of good nutrition and physical activity.
