A. Discover 5 results-getting skills that can enable me meet
expectations as an Aviation Security Quality Control,
Standards & Compliance Manager!
The following are a select few of my accomplishments plus 5 results-getting skills I’ve
developed over the past 10+ years in the aviation industry that I can put to work to make
a BIG difference as an Aviation Security Quality Control, Standards & Compliance
Manager.
Results-Getting Skill #1: Implementation of International aviation security
regulations at both the regional and national levels
With this skill I can help to:
Ensure that all staff understands the nature of threats to civil aviation
Continuously review the general principles of quality control as they
pertain to aviation security companywide
Ensure that staff recognizes the roles and responsibilities of different
entities within an Aviation Security (AVSEC) System
Guarantee the planning, preparation and performance of Quality Control
Activities within the company
Ensure compliance within the aviation security unit maintaining the
principles and performance of Quality Control activities and the use of QC
tools
Results-Getting Skill #2: Review general principles of Quality Control as they
pertain to Aviation Security
With this skill I can help to:
Remind staff of the need to become familiar (in general terms) with ICAO
requirements as they pertain to Quality Control
Guarantee the protection and safety of passengers, crew, ground personnel,
the general public, aircraft and facilities of an airport serving civil aviation,
against acts of unlawful interference perpetrated on the ground or in flight
Assist in the establishment of a comprehensive organization and legal
structure, with clearly defined responsibilities and methods of
implementation
Develop and deploy security measures appropriate to the level of the threat
within the region
Monitor as always the development of Security Programmes and the
development of SOPs at the airport level
Results-Getting Skill #3: A good understanding of Aviation security Quality
Control and the Monitoring Activities therein
With this skill I can help to:
Assist organization with monitoring of civil aviation security systems by
using either Security audits, Inspections, Tests, Surveys, Investigations, or
Exercises (by the operators with monitoring done by the CAA
Perform Quality Audit of all service Providers;
Ensure compliance classification are fully in use and well understood at the
national level as defined by the states’ CAA / NCASQCP
Guarantee that the NCASQCP includes a process for ensuring that

stakeholders
Results-Getting Skill #4: In agreement with the Implementation of all Annex 17
standards and the security-related provisions of Annex 9;and the development,
Implementation and maintenance of NCASQCP as an integral component of the
oversight system in order to determine compliance with and validate the
effectiveness of the NCASP
With this skill I can help to:
Draw an annual report from all internal quality control activities conducted.
Ensure that the activities of airport security personnel and fire and rescue
staff are coordinated from a security point of view
Provide any required information on audited issues - including information
on their regular self-testing activities
Shall Submit to the Appropriate Authority reports of internal quality
control activities, associate results of such activities and any corrective
actions taken in order to correct any deficiencies or incidents of non-
compliance
Review, Develop, implement and maintain an internal quality control
programme consistent with the NCASQCP which shall be subject to
review by the Appropriate Authority
Results-Getting Skill #5: Appreciate the benefits of Internal Quality Control for
a State’s Oversight System
With this skill I can help to:
Ensure daily operational Mistakes, Errors and Omissions are minimize -
such as staff in a sterile or restricted area do not fail to display permit
Consider or establish the worst possible outcome of any low-key incidents
and come up quickly with an effective corrective action that would ensure
such incidents do not recur
As quickly as possible, evaluate any incidents which were not prevented or
detected and also not confined to high-profile or catastrophic events
Ensure that there are adequate supervision between aircraft and terminal
buildings of: Passengers, Baggage, Cargo, Mail, Catering and Aircraft
Stores
Ensure all staff understands the purpose, requirements and obligations
related to the National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP).

Results-oriented Skill #1: Able To Manage Company-Wide Airport Security
Infrastructure
Equipped with this skill I will be of good support to:
Ensure that staff are appropriately trained on relevant technology;
Ensure all security detection devices and equipment are maintained;
Develop and maintain knowledge of new and existing technologies in use
in the Aviation industry;
Improve company’s maintenance culture and to guarantee the availability

Guarantee the installation of relevant infrastructure to help fight against

Results-oriented Skill #2: Ensure that the Value of Vulnerabilities and
Assessment partaining to cyber security, as required by ICAO, has mitigating
measures, and identifies any vulnerability within the organisation
Equipped with this skill I will be of good support to:
Ensure that staff are security and safety conscious;
Guarantee that all staff understand that ICAO standards on Cyber security
must be met at all times;
Guarantee confidentiality on our operations for customers’
records/documents;
Ensure that all staff are alert and know the implication and vulnerabilities
that pertains to cyber security if the system is flawed.

Part of a team that setup Johannesburg, South Africa operations ICT needs covering O.R. Tambo international airport for Arik Air,
completed 2nd quarter 2009.
Plan, Coordinate & Participate in the examination of IT Security Architecture and systems in Arik air using ISA Server
Implemented McAfee Virus scan Enterprise 8.5.0i, Epolicy orchestrator 3.6.0 and Secure internet gateway (SIG) 3200 x 2units web
admin module on all Arik Air workstations.
Part of a team that implemented the $88,000 IP-Sec VPN traffic migration of current VSAT VNO Internet service for all Arik stations
aggregated through Skyvision Atlanta Teleport/co-location and Lagos HQ (as backup) of VPN Devices to link Mercator Datacentres
in Dubai for our new customer reservation system (CRS) and Departure Control System (DCS), completed November 2009.
Part of a team that implemented Lagos HQ Internet bandwidth/VPN terrestrial fibre last mile connection to submarine fibre service
providers to complement existing connectivity at a project cost of $90,000 of MainOne (via 21st CTL) and another $85,000 of GLO1.
Part of a team that visited Dubai (Emirates Office) and recently concluded planning/migration/go live of the Airline’s $590,400
project cost of customer reservation systems CRS and Departure control DCS from Aeropack TTI to Mercator MARs and MACs
across 82 locations spanning all Arik Airport Stations (Including New York, London and Joburg), City Ticketing Offices, Partner
Banks and HQ, completed March 27th 2011.
Part of the Systems Administrators Team that planned and implemented the transition of existing MS-Exchange 2003 to MS-
Exchange 2007-2010 and introduced Server Virtualization utilizing HP-C3000 Blade Server with Microsoft Hyper-V utilizing
existing Microsoft Enterprise category 6 volume licenses, completed February 2010.
Over 8 years in Arik Air with rapid Promotion due to diligence and hard work from IT Helpdesk (1year), to Systems Support Analyst
(Spanning 3years), to Systems/Security Administrator( 4years) and presently Manager, Aviation Security Technology in Team Lead
experience, with strong inter-networking architecture, IT Security, Aviation Security Technology, systems installation/configuration
and design skill and in 2015 Promoted to a senior Manager position to ensure Aviation security Quality, standards and Compliance
across unit.
