My master is always in my mind

The mountain is so lofty, it is hard to look up to its height. The noble virtue is so upright and pure that it

is hard to imitate. Although I cannot reach these realms, in my

heart there is always hope of attaining them.

How did Master Tung think of the development of Chinese Acupuncture As far back as BC2800, Acupuncture already had had its origin in

China. It was recorded in the Annals of Chinese Emperors that Fu Hsi

(BC2852) had drawn a Sign of "Pa Kua" [, Ba Gua (eight tri-grams)] (a kind of Chinese astronomical zodiac system).

And in the following Dynasties, others had theorized and classified the symptoms and pathologies of all diseases caused by the variations of "six energies"[ six qi], "six bowels"[six fu], "five internal glands"[five zang], "five basic factors" [ five element], "Yin" and "Yang" (negative & positive), "four seasons"[], "water" and "fire" etc. In relation to human mild or critical ailments. In addition to that, Shen Nung had (BC2737) orally tested and classified all herbs, and was the first Chinese to institute a system of Acupuncture.

    -- Tung, 1973 En , Preface

How did Master Tung think of the development of Chinese Acupuncture In view of such developments, the theorization of Acupuncture

must have developed some inter-relationship with the school of the Toist thinking [Doaism].

In the very beginning starting from Warring Times of ChouDynasty [East Zhou Dynasty] (BC 772-221), There was Ch'in Yueh Jen[ Qin Yue Ren].

And there also existed Hua T'o[ Hua Tuo] (AD141-203) and many others at the close of Eastern Han Dynasty (AD25-220) who practiced the craft of Acupuncture and thereby set a standard of Acupuncture for the posterity. Acupuncture graduallyreached the point of advanced development during the periods from Sung[Song] to Ming Dynasties.

How did Master Tung think of the development of Chinese Acupuncture In the time of Emperor Jen Tsung [Ren Zong] of Sung

[Song] Dynasty( (AD 1023-1056), the "Stone Tablet of 14 Meridian points" and the "T'ien Sheng Bronze Figure" [Tian Sheng Bronze Figure, AD 1029] were created, which later on became a fundamental requirement in the then medical circles.

Judging from the implementation of such measure, it seems to consider the art of Acupuncture before that period "could have been primitive, incomplete and possibly misinterpreted. could have been scattered and lost or lost in transmission.

Tung's Acupuncture was lost in ancient time & was rebuilt by Master Tung

It is very sad that the original Tungs acupuncture textbook was destroyed duringwar in my ancestors era. Fortunately I have memorized the SECRET

Key (Yao Jue) that was passed down in my family by oral tradition. After I practiced more than 300,000 clinical

cases, the effectiveness of Tung's Acupuncture is confirmed completely.

Tung's Acupuncture has its own origin and its own traditions The channel system is different from 14

channels system. The location of Tungs points are different from

the 365 points of traditional acupuncture. It focuses on the acupuncture more than the

moxibustion. The technique of Tungs acupuncture is very simple and very effective. A lot of difficult diseases were cured very

quickly by my familys system of acupuncture. --Tung,1973 textbook, Preface

Tung's Acupuncture is different from Traditional 14 Channels Acupuncture

Tung's acupuncture has its own system: Each unique point can connects to five zang, six fu or six extraordinary fu directly.

" Yin Yang 11 Vessels Moxbustion Classics" () [earlier than Nei Jing] recorded "tooth vessel" -- the origin of Hand Yangmin channel (Large Intestine channel) .

    --- HUANG, 2001.

The Tradtional Chinese Medicine is a whole system which contains the "Five" & "Six" Systems.

Tung's acupuncture belongs to "Five" system : Five element and Five zang system.

"Five system" still includes Yi YinBC 1544-1544) " Tang Ye Jing Fa" (), Hua Tuo(AD 145-208) "Zhong Zang Jing" (and Tao Hong-Jing (AD 456-536)" Fu Xing Jue Zang Fu Yong Yao Fa

Five Zang Chart in 1973 textbook preface

Master Tung indicated that the "Tian Sheng Bronze Figure" (AD 1029) and the "Five Zang Chart" (AD 1048) strongly influence the development of Chinese acupuncture. Master Tung also indicated "Tian Sheng Bronze

Figure" standardize the 14 channels and 365 acupuncture points. Five Zang Chart was an anatomy chart but

Master Tung did not have more words.

Master Tung broke his family tradition and began to teach his first disciple, Mr. Lin, in July 1, 1962. In his books, he tried to use modern anatomy

May 2008, I had chance to visit Mr. Yuan Guo-Ben who is the assistant editor of 1973 Tungs Acupuncture textbook.

I asked: Did the heart, liver, lung, kidney, spleen nerve under the anatomy of textbook present the Tungs Regular Channels? Mr. Yuan did not reply my question, he only showed me Ching-Changs Points & Medical Record note which recorded by Dr. CHEN Du-Ren around 1964.

Dr. Chen was a very famous TCM doctor and published many excellent experienced TCM books before he became Master Tungs disciple in 1964. And his note is very worthy.
