CYBERCHASE: CYBERCHASE: MY BIG IDEA!MY BIG IDEA!

CYBERCHASE:MY BIG IDEA

What’s the BIG IDEA?•To present and model the problem-solving process behind inventing and used by mathematicians, scientists, and engineers;

•To emphasize that inventing is as much a process as it is inspiration. Specifically to model how to:

•Learn from mistakes and develop persistence and self confidence in overcoming difficulties (trial and error);

•Make a design before building an invention so it works as planned (design for function);

•Use a model to test the essential features of an invention to solve problems before building the real thing (3D modeling);

•Refine and optimize an invention to make it the best that it can be (refine & optimize).
