LTG’S MESSAGE

Hello kois,Conclave and DCON are just around the corner! In a little over a week,you will be able to meet your next Lt. Governor elect! I want to take this time to thank you for all of your hard work and dedication you haveshown me this year so far! Please keep up the good work, and make sure to always strive for excellence. This newsletter will have information on DCON so read through it! I hope to see you all on January 25th, at conclave to witness the birth of a new Lt. Governor

COMMUNITY SERVICE

On January 2nd

Take-Over in Manteca, sponsoring the Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis.

The Bake Sale was a success with an approximate total of $600 to

our Key club funds. The Take-Over was not only a success but

everyone enjoyed their time there as they were impressed for

each new baked good that was announced by each of our

members. Our Key club members woke up very early to bake

fresh goods for the Kiwanis.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

On December 7, Manteca had its 41st annual holiday parade. The theme was "Frosty the Snowman." West had the opportunity to participate in the parade with the Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis again. Unfortunately, unlike the year before, only two Key Clubbers showed up to the parade. Gurkiran

Kandola and I were provided with hot chocolate and cookies from our generous Kiwanis members. When the parade started, we got to sit on the �oat and we were given blankets to sit on and cover ourselves with to keep us warm from the cold weather. During the parade, we gave out candy to the

kids lined up along the sidewalks. The streets were �lled with bright lights, and there were families who brought chairs and blankets to sit on. It was great to see the smiles on everyone's faces. During

winter break, a couple of Key Clubbers took their time to help the community for the incoming

holiday. We had the chance to help wrap gifts for people who are a little behind on their presents.

There was an area in the mall where volunteers help with gift wrapping, and donations were

accepted to raise funds for an organization depending which day it was. The two days that I

volunteered, the funds were to go to the Tracy Animal Shelter. It was a fun time and I was glad I

went both days.
