Daanbantayan is 128 kilometers from Cebu City, with about 3-4
hours travel time.
Bus- Ceres Liner, D'RoughRiders and Cebu Autobus are among the bus companies with regular trips to and from Daanbantayan via the North Bus Terminal.
bus fare ranges from PHP 150-165 (non-aircon buses) and PHP 160-180 (airconditioned buses)
V-hire- Van for hire, is also available in the North Bus Terminal. Fare ranges from PHP 160-190.

HALADAYA FESTIVALIS CELEBRATED EVERY EASTER SUNDAY
AND ENDS WITH A STREETDANCING ON THE SEVENTH DAY AFTER EASTER.
ONE OF THE BIG HIGHLIGHTS IN THE FESTIVAL ARE THE HALADAYA FESTIVAL
QUEEN, STREET DANCING COMPETITION AND THE GRAND PARADE CALLED
HALADAYA.
MANY TOURISTS, LOCAL & FOREIGN, COME TO WITNESS AND JOIN THE FESTIVE
MOOD—DANCES, DRINKS, FOOD AND MERRYMAKING—WITH FAMILIES,
RELATIVES, AND FRIENDS.
Sta. Rosa de Lima parish Church - inaugurated on 10
April 1858 and finished in 1886. Its façade is still intact with its
original design.
The Town plaza - site of a battle between the so-called
Daanbantayan Volunteers and 19 well-armed bandits led by
Capitan Berinoin 1898

Gato Cave and Islet - a small sharp rocky island rising in the middle of the Visayan
Sea,home to nesting seabirds, a colony of flying foxes, soft coral canyons, and rare and
unusual nudibranchs
Malapascua island- known first for its wide white sand
beach, known as Bounty Beach; it has also become
known as a diving destination because of its beautiful coral gardens and excellent local
dive spots.

Daanbantayan is now known for its pristine, white powder-like
sandy beaches, that is why resorts and boats for island
hopping is a popular business here.
With its vast and rich marine resources, it hosts a long string
of dive sites offering unique marine life and beauty.
