Our Website vs Our Database

At left is a snapshot of the club website menu.

The Club Events Calendar can be viewed on the website, but must be updated through the database. Events, Bulletin and Officers are public; no log in is required to view these pages.

The Club Bulletins are archived in the database and can be viewed on the website.

The officers are presented from the database.

If you click on “Members data” on the website there is a link to the Club Directory, which is not public, so you must log in to the DACdb database in order to view this page.

The Sedona Rotary website provides information for both club members and for the public. Some of the pages on our website are fed from our online database and club members can access the database through the website.

Navigating in DACdb

Basic navigation in DACdb is done with a series of tabs and bars. The tabs across the top are the main sections. Each has a different set of links in the dark blue stripe below the tabs and sometimes a third row of links below the dark blue stripe.DACdb is used by both districts and clubs, so you will need to be careful to choose links that specify “club.”The second tab from the left, “My Club” will contain most of the information you will want.

My Club

Quick links to Club Members and Committees otherwise seen by scrolling down the page.

This is a very long page. Scrolling down you will find information about meeting time and location, club committees and a table of club members and positions, with phone numbers and live email links.

Members and Positions

The Members and Positions table gives you up to date contact information. Clicking on the view link in the “Member Name” column brings up a member’s complete profile with photo. You can click on the email address to email that member.

My Data

The third tab from left at the top in DACdb is “My Data.” This is where you can update your contact and other information. If you have a change of address, phone number or email, it is important to click on the “Edit my Data” link and make the appropriate updates. These updates are forwarded to Rotary International for their records as well.

Creating a Directory

You can create a directory to print from the “Reports” tab. Club Reports displays a table like the one above. There are several options for creating the directory with a dizzying number of alternative. The simplest and best one I have found is 1.4 Club Member Directory (with contact info). Click on the chart icon to the right of the star on that line in this table to create the report.

Creating a Directory Step 2

On the Report Setup page, click the circle in front of the report that you want. Click on the icon in upper right of that form to select to view, print or save the report as Excel, Word or PDF file.

Summary DACdb is designed to be used at both the club level and

district level. Make sure to choose the links that specify “club.”

If you want to look at the club calendar or a back newsletter and do not want to log in to DACdb, those pages are available on the club website. (www.sedonarotary.org)

Use the membership contact information on DACdb for the most up to date information.

Be sure to keep your information up to date on DACdb. (You can also give the club secretary your updates and he will enter them.)

Poke around on DACdb. You might discover something really useful to you!
