JAMNAGAR/DWARKA, Sept 25: Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi over note ban, GST, farm policies and 'Gujarat model' of development, Rahul Gandhi today voiced confidence about winning the upcoming Assembly elections, claiming there is a strong undercurrent in favour of Congress in Gujarat. Talking to journalists on arrival in Jamnagar for a road show on the first day of his three-day tour of Gujarat, Gandhi said people are regret- ting having voted for the BJP. "There is a strong undercur- rent in favour of Congress in Gujarat. People want change and Congress will definitely come to power this time. People of Gujarat are unhappy with the ruling party as they feel cheated after giving their votes to the BJP," said Gandhi, adding that Congress will help Gujarat develop. The Congress is out of power in Gujarat for over two decades. As per police sources, fami- ly members of a girl lodged a complaint with Police Post Narwal stating that their daugh- ter has been kidnapped by Ajay of Nagrota. Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant Sections was registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started. During the course of investi- gation, police conducted raids at several locations and finally rescued the kidnapped girl. The kidnapper is still absconding and hunt was going to arrest him. Police team led by Incharge Narwal Police Post SI Vikram Manhas rescued the kidnapped girl under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Bharat Sharma, SDPO East Arun Jamwal and SP South Sandeep Choudhary. Soldier killed in Karnah Excelsior Correspondent SRINAGAR, Sept 25: An Army personnel was killed while another injured in an acci- dental fire in Karnah sector in Kupwara district today. Police said Ganpatram of 20 Jat Regiment, was killed in the accidental fire of another sol- dier when he fell down in Karnah. The soldier has been killed in an accidental fire and his body has been air-lifted to his home in Rajasthan, they added.
