A reading from the holy Gospel according to John:
Destroy this sanctuary, and in three days I will raise it up. Just before the Jewish Passover Jesus went up to Jerusalem, and in the Temple he found people selling cattle and sheep and pigeons, and the money changers sitting at their counters there. Making a whip out of some cord, he drove them all out of the Temple, cattle and sheep as well, scattered the money changers’ coins, knocked their tables over and said to the pigeon-sellers, ‘Take all this out of here and stop turning my Father’s house into a market.’ Then his disciples remembered the words of scripture: Zeal for your house will devour me. The Jews intervened and said, ‘What sign can you show us to justify what you have done?’ Jesus answered, ‘Destroy this sanctuary, and in three days I will raise it up.’ The Jews replied, ‘It has taken forty-six years to build this sanctuary: are you going to raise it up in three days?’ But he was speaking of the sanctuary that was his body, and when Jesus rose from the dead, his disciples remem-bered that he had said this, and they believed the scripture and the words he had said. During his stay in Jerusalem for the Passover many be-lieved in his name when they saw the signs that he gave, but Jesus knew them all and did not trust himself to them; he never needed evidence about any man; he could tell what a man had in him.

Jesus Christ.

Third Sunday Of Lent Year B
Jesus drove sheep and cattle out, He up turned tables and scattered money, then, more gently, He said to the pigeon sellers, “take all of this out of here and stop turning my father’s house into a market”. This shows that even though Je-sus was very angry with the whole situation he still treated the poorer people po-litely as he told them to leave. What can you do that makes you more like Jesus when you respond to people doing something wrong.
A warm welcome to Fr Vincent Nguyen as our New Parish Priest. Please
stay back after Mass and join the Community to welcome him.
Palm Sunday is the 4th Sunday of the Month However, 11.00 am Mass will be in English
Children’s Liturgy during the 11.00 am Mass. FROM PAUL: I am very grateful to all of you for coming to the Mass and celebrations on Sunday, Feb 25. Your singing was
beautiful and the aromas drifting in from the food in the hall were amaz-ing. I have worked very closely with Fr Leenus, and I am so pleased that he was farewelled with such a wonderful event. As for myself, it was the highlight of ten years in this community. You are so generous in the way you welcome new people. So joyful in the way you bring food to share at celebrations. My time as Pastoral Associate is over, however, I look for-ward to many more years as a member of the Holy Child community. - Paul
On behalf of the Parish Community, I would like to sincerely thank Fr Leenus and Paul Gleeson for their dedication and care for the past years. God bless you and keep you safe in your new ministry. - Fr Vincent
