Saturday nights sees the popular Moonlight Cinema pro-
gramme take over The Edge rooftop plaza. June’s series of
films is themed around three of Brisbane’s sister cities to the
north: Hong Kong, Shanghai and Taipei, plus a contemporary

Bookcamp is a user-generated conference sponsored by
Penguin Australia and focussed on books and book-like
technologies. The purpose will be to consider the future of the
Book as an object and examine its ongoing role as a delivery
mechanism for stories, information and entertainment. Partici-
pants and self-selected guests will choose the agenda for the
day, forming breakup groups to discuss and potentially create

Etsy is the global marketplace for all things handmade. There’s
a thriving ‘new craft’ scene around Queensland, all using Etsy
to buy and sell handmade and vintage items, art and supplies.
The Edge is hosting the first ever meeting for Etsy users in
QLD, a chance to meet other Etsy users, share experiences and
skills, buy and sell, and put faces to usernames. Neither village
fair nor Indro, the first Etsy Fair is your chance to show your
wares, buy someone else’s or just talk to other users.
PARKOUR AT THE EDGE
Every Friday morning 6-8 am, free
Before the day gets too hot, The Edge and surrounds is avail-
able for early-morning parkour. Experienced traceurs will be
on hand to guide you around the building’s key points and
challenges. Basic first-aid trained sta! are on hand too, not that
you’re encouraged to need them.
