Ch.1

With the war over everything has gone back to normalwith the earth and the colonies. The pilots who survived are

now back home and enjoying life. Even though the war is over,all colonies and the earth bases have at least three mobile suits

with very capable pilots.

The beloved Kira Yamato, crushed by the loss of FllayAllstair, turned to Lacus Clyne for support and fell in love with

her. Whereas Cagalli Yula Athha fell madly in love with herwreckage friend, and Kiras, Athrun Zala. With everyone living

happily, Kira and Athrun no longer pilot suits but do still havetheir original suits The Freedom and The Justice.Ichigo Kurosaki has been training to pilot a mobile suit

at the Institute for Higher Learning. The institute is located atHeliopolis, a colony in Space District 2. Ichigo is not only an

amazing pilot, he is an amazing hand-to-hand combatspecialist. He always can be found in the gym sparing or

fighting against his fellow classmate and teacher, Ku Fei.

Ku Fei has been trained in Chinese martial arts. She hasbeen teaching Ichigo for the past two years.

When you hit, hit hard, she would always tell him.Dont fight at a weak strength, fight with all your strength.

Yes sensei! he would scream. Let me show you my

true strength then. He got into this weird stance, his owncreation, where he balances on one foot with the other resting

on his bent knee. His hands in front of him with his palmsfacing Ku fei.

What are doing, Ichigo? Ku fei was completely

perplexed by his unusual stance. I never seen that before.

Ichigo began to focus hard. He closed his eyes and

began to draw a sweat on his outfaced palms.Ahhhh! Here I come.As he charged toward Ku, she figured that he wasnt

thinking and she took a side step to dodge the attack. To hersurprise, Ichigo had placed his foot behind her and she fell to

the ground with an exhausted thud.

Oww! Ku said while rubbing her bum. You movefast. You finely beginning to think with head and heart.

Well, Ichigo replied with a grin, I have an amazingteacher. He didnt even notice how red Ku fei was turning.

Well, shes so overwhelmed with emotions that shecant even speak properly. Well, you no bad youself.Ichigo decided to end their fighting class early today

because he had to prepare for his in-suit test tomorrow.Well Ku fei, he said while extending a hand to help

her to her feet, I must be off. I gotta prepare for the in-suit testtomorrow.

Oh yes Me too! she replied with a look of shock. I

forget all about that.So they bowed to each other and headed off to the

showers. As Ichigo watched Ku fei walk away, he noticed,finally, how beautiful she truly was. Her beautiful short blonde

hair, the way it sways as she walks, her beautiful bright blue

eyes with the face of an angel. He let out a small sigh as ifsaying, wow. He continues to watch her slim figure disappear

around the corner and into the female showers.After returning to reality, he heads to the showers to

clean off. While hes washing the sweat from his arms, he

realizes that he forgot his gym bag in the gym area so he has to

dry off and hope that no one is there to see him streaking.

As he peeks around the corner into the gym, he sees his

bag on a bench about three feet away from him. He stops deadwhen he hears one of the punching bags being hit hard. Hestays at the corner and looks around the gym. Over on the other

side if the ring, a boy about Ichigos age, 17, is giving the bagsome seriously strong hits. He seems to be really focused on

punching the stuffing out of the bag. Ichigo quickly jumps to

his bag, pulls out a towel and hides around the corner tocontinue his surveillance of the boy.

One..two...one...two... the boy says while punchingthe bag. This rhythm or pace makes Ichigo think.

Maybe thats the rhy...Whos there? the boy yells as he spins around on hisheels.

Ichigo is frozen stiff as a rock as if hed been petrified.Ichigo couldnt move, blink or even breath. The boy starts to

approach the half naked Ichigo. As he approaches Ichigo,Ichigo began to see the boys features. His hair is half covering

his big brown eyes. The boy is not totally ripped but he does

have some muscle tone.Ichigo feels his cheeks fill with heat, then he realizes

his towel had fallen off. Then he really began to notice howembarrassed he was.

Yo man! the boy says while turning his head away.

Pick up your towel. I dont want to see that.Ichigo bends down and recovers his towel. S-s-sorry

bud. I didnt mean to lose myself in front of you. Ichigo feelsso embarrassed that he completely forgets about an

introduction.

Why were you watching me? the boy seems to not

really care, he just wants to talk.

Well your..., Ichigo was trying to figure out how to

explain the rhythm. Well your punching rhythm reminded meof this song my mother use to sing to me when I was younger.This was the first time Ichigo ever said this to anyone.

Really, the boy seems to be thinking aboutsomething. My name is Yosuke Sagara. And yours my half

naked peeping-tom?

Hey, Im not a peeping-tom! Ichigos temper startedto boil up and over. And why should I tell you, Yo-sucker.

Hey whats with the name calling. I was trying to benice.

By calling me a peeping-tom! Thats not nice.Well you were spying on me.I was not. I forgot my gym bag. I needed to get my

clothes. Ichigos temper began to calm down to a reasonablestate.

Well then, I apologize, Yosuke said with anapologetic bow. His bow makes him seem so humble and

approachable.

Ichigo is so taken aback by the mood swing that he hasno clue what to say. Uh...um...thanks, I guess, he says with a

look of bewilderment and scratches his head.Look man. Iwould like to spar against you sometime, friend. Ichigos

amazingly powerful grin returns to his face.

No problem, friend, Yosuke says as he straightens tosee Ichigos grin. Hey, you wouldnt be the infamous Ichigo

Kurosaki, would you?Howd you guess it was me? Ichigo says holding his

grin in place.

That grin of yours has a way of making everyone like

you. And getting you in trouble.

I dont know what you mean?

That grin got you into this institute and ... everyoneknows just how strong you are. Yosuke began to understandwhy Ichigo is where he is. His grin is so inviting but at the

exact same time menacing.

Well I must be off, Ichigo turned to leave back into

the shower and locker area when he stops. Oh yeah, forgot tomention. Your punch is fast but it lacks strength. Ichigo turns

his head to give Yosuke one last look at his grin.

Ch.2

The day is starting off quite good so far. The weather isnice, not a lot of bad stuff happening. And if the day couldnt

get any better, its the day for the in-suit test.All of the students are in a mad hurry to get some last

minute studying in. Books upon books can be seen all over theclassroom. How to move, how to navigate, using thrusters, and

etc. can be seen at every students desk as they prepare for the

inevitable in-suit test later on, just before lunch.Waking up late on the day of a major exam is one of

Ichigos traits. He never seems to be worrying about how wellhell do, but he does have a look of confidence no matter what.

Hey, um.......Ichigo? Yosuke was running up behind

him waving an arm around like a lunatic. Are you...ready for...the test? he asked in a deep and heavy pant.

I dont know, Ichigo replies with his usual look ofconfidence before a test. I couldnt tell you?

What do you mean?

Well I dont really study when it comes to tests,

Ichigo has this look on his face that would remind you of an

innocent little child.

How could you not study? Yosuke is completelyblown away by how relaxed and calm Ichigo is being about thetest. Yosuke turns on his heels to survey the classroom.

Everyones racing and rushing around to get everything downpat. Wow! I never realized how crazy it gets before one of our

tests.

Thats probably why I dont study, Ichigo says as ifhe was answering Yosukes question. Im not the rush and

race type, you know.I get what you mean, Ichigo.

Hey Yosuke, do you have a minute?Be right there. I got to go help her out. See ya later,Ichigo and good luck. Yosuke turns on his heels and dashes

after the girl.Ichigo decides to take his seat and watch everyone rush

and tear to get in those last precious minutes of study. As hewatches, he notices a girl who seems to be studying but with a

closer look he realizes that she is drawing in her book.

Ichigo strolls over to her and sits down right in front ofher.

How you doing? he asked casually. She glares upthen returns to her drawing. How come you so calm?

Shouldnt you be cramming in some extra study time?

Im not worried because worry means doubt and Idoubt not my ability, she replies while keeping her eyes glued

to her drawing.Well then I hope I didnt disturb you, he says with his

infamous grin. As he turns to leave, the girl speaks up.

Youre Ichigo, right? she seems to be enjoying this

fact. My name is Nodoka. Pleased to meet you. Nodoka has

this air about her that pulls him towards her. He takes his seat

in front of her again.So then I take it youve heard of me. Ichigo alwayshas to look like hes super cool.

Not really, she replies with a small grin. Just a luckyguess.

Well then, Ill leave you to your drawing, Ichigo says

and then returns to his seat at the back of the class.As he sits there he cant help but think about Nodoka.

Her medium long hair, dark red almost auburn, her beautifulbrown eyes and her amazingly slim body with just enough

curve. Hes amazed how calm and relaxed she is being aboutthe whole test.Hey Ichigo!

Oh hey there, Ku, Ichigo is very pleased to see her.How are you doing? Ready for the in-suit test?

Of course I am, she replies with her cute little smile.I take it you ready.

As always.

So, she begins but stops when Yosuke walks over.H-h-h-hello Yosuke, if you didnt know any better youd say

that Ku Fei is completely red and in a sweat, but she hides itwell.

Hey Ichigo, Ku, Yosuke says her name so beautifully

that she has to take a seat.As the group continues to talk and everyone else

continues to study their notes except for Nodoka. Shes stilljust sitting there with her drawing. Nodoka is so peaceful that

Ichigo gets troubled with the question, why is she here if shes

so peaceful?

As Ichigo ponders over this hard to figure out question,

Ku and Yosuke hit it off.

So then youve trained in Chinese martial arts foralong time, Yosuke himself loves the Chinese style.Yes, Ku Fei replies with an innocent tone, I enjoy

Chinese style very much.I do too, but I have always trained in the martial arts of

deception. At this remark, Ku Fei is drawn aback. Im not

very deceptive as a person but in my fighting style. Im verydeceptive.

Always good to be deceptive, Ku Fei says with adeceptive little smile. But be careful, some people see through

deception.Ku Fei, Ichigo just clued into the conversation.Dont be telling the boy all your secrets, he says with a

nudge and a wink.Okay students, Professor Takahata says as he strolls

into the classroom. We will be starting the test soon, but asyou are probably aware the test was to be one-on-one and the

headmaster has decided to go by teams. I will be announcing

the teams within the hour, so get ready and good luck.Professor Takahata turns and leaves the classroom. He had

been their professor for about two years now and everyonetrusted him with their life even if he couldnt pilot a mobile suit

himself.

So how do you think theyll make the teams? Yosukeasked Ichigo and Ku Fei.

I couldnt tell ya man. Ichigo is as perplexed asYosuke. I thought wed be alone. Much easier. No one to

worry about.

But teams, Ku Fei says, can be good. They got your

back in fight. Never worry.

But if your team, Yosuke starts then stops to regain

his thought. Your team might not care what happens to you.Thats why you befriend them, Ichigo decides toinput as he continues to survey the class turn into mad dogs.

Everyones freaking about being put in a team. Personally, Iwould prefer a team.

If it was us together, youd be captain, Ichigo, Yosuke

adds. Yosuke is a good person, he always lets others get achance.

I agree, Yosuke, Ku Fei seems to be in aww overYosuke. It almost makes you sick.

Hey Nodoka, Ichigo yelled so loud that everyoneheard. Would you join my team? You could be co-captain.Ichigo knows that he just stepped on one of her nerves because

Nodoka just gave him a super dirty look.Nodoka just shrugs it off and replies, only in your

dreams, Ichigo. Only in your dreams.At this remark, the entire classroom explodes with

laughter. Ichigo is also laughing and to his surprise so is

Nodoka.

Ch.3

As the hour passes by, the class all calmed down to a

relaxed state. After the outbreak of laughter over the

conversation between Ichigo and Nodoka, the class felt thepressure relieved. Everyone figured that each team would end

up with someone who knows what they were doing.Professor Takahata walked into the class about five

minutes ago and everyone was waiting for him to announce the

teams. Professor Takahata is not a tall man. Hes 5'7" with gray

and short white hair. His face looked age worn but hes only 38

years old. Along with all those features, the girls are still madly

crazy for him.I think youve waited long enough, he says with asmall smile. But, a huge sigh falls over everyone. But I have

asked Professor Iruka to come in and give you a pep talk. Soenjoy. Just as he finished speaking, Iruka walks in.

Professor Iruka is only 21 years old, with short black

hair that hes got in little spikes. His eyes were brown but theylooked so innocent that you would never suspect him as a kind

of bully. Iruka worked out at least three times a week. He hadalways been pretty fit. Being kind of mean and bullish, he

always worked everyone far beyond any other professor. Irukadoes have a nice and kind side but only to those who were likehim.

Good afternoon. Class, Iruka says with the nicest andmost caring smile that he could muster.

Professor, or sensei as some called him, Iruka neverliked to smile.

Good afternoon, the class rang out.

Yo, it was Ichigo, Good afternoon, Iruka sensei.

Ichigo and Iruka had a history of feuds that are well knownaround the institute.

Hello Ichigo, Irukas smile had been washed clean

off his face. I hope youre prepared for the test.As always sensei, Ichigo had to have the last word,

you know Im ready. And out slipped Ichigos little grin.Anyways class, Iruka tried to ignore Ichigo, As

Professor Takahata said Im here to give you a pep talk. The

class was alert and ready for the good luck then he would be

gone, but instead he continued, Im going to start by

explaining the institutes main purpose followed by a crash

course in what a mobile suit is. The classroom had the airsucked dry. No one could speak, everyone was afraid to blinkand no one, not even Ichigo, had prepared for a lecture.

This institute was founded to train civilians to be ableto pilot mobile suits. Our job, as pilots, is to protect people

from others attempting to do harm. He paused to let it all sink

in. But what if a war breaks out, you might ask. Well do Ihave to fight? Of course..., his pause made everyone shake to

the very core. NOT!! As a pilot, you have the choice to defendor be defended. If you have talent, dont waste it by letting

others defend you. Defend yourself. At this point everyonestarts to whisper to his or her friend about what they would do.Quiet please. Thank you. Now as I was saying, we have the

choice. This institute was not only built for that soul reason butalso to give those with talent a chance to prove themselves. A

lot of people have passed through here without even becominga pilot. They were just looking for some excitement. Another

set of murmurs can be heard now. Iruka pauses while everyone

discusses this idea.

Now onto mobile suits, Iruka sensei loved to talksuits because he himself had been able to customize his very

own. Mobile suits...

Wait a sec there, sensei, Ichigo had been quiet upuntil now. If I said I was here to, how should I put it, beat the

tar out of someone, would that mean Im here for the wrongreason.

Depends, Iruka sensei says with a small grin, on

who you want to beat. The classroom fills with laughter

because they all thought that sensei meant himself.

Im here to get revenge on whoever killed my

parents. Ichigos grin is gone and now hes sporting a look ofdetermination. Ill do whatever it takes to find him.The classroom has gone dead silent. Not even Ku Fei

knew that Ichigo was an orphan. Ichigo had always kept hischildhood a mystery. Most people would never have guessed

that Ichigo Kurosaki was an orphan.

Well, Iruka sensei had no clue how to respond. Wellrevenge isnt always the right answer.

Thank you, Ichigo says as laid back as possible, foranswering my question.

Everyone in the classroom was probably thinking thesame thing, poor Ichigo.Im sorry, Ichigo. I never knew, Iruka sensei was

stunned by this revelation.Its okay sensei, Ichigo was smiling again except for

the fact that it looked completely fake. As you were saying.Oh yes! Iruka snapped back into reality. Ah yes!

Mobile suits. Mobile suits are giant, robot-like machines. Each

suit has different components varying from weapons tomovement part to internal components. How you control

yourself will be coherent with how you control your mobilesuit. These suits are somewhat fragile and should be handled

with lots of care. Yes most ofoursuits have phase shift armor

which does provide some protection, but in the case that yourarmor should fade then what. You must rely on your skills

afterwards and good luck with that.Everyone should know what phase shift armor is. If

you dont then listen close. Phase Shift armor protects you

from regular bullets and projectiles. It will NOT protect you

from beams and beam swords, they will give you some

damage. Iruka had to pause to regain his breath. He had been

talking for half an hour and everyone was getting tired. I thinkits time for the actual test to begin, dont you, Takahata?Everyone turned to look at Professor Takahata who had

fallen asleep.Takahata!

Yes, the answer is fifty-nine. Professor Takahata tried

to shake off the sleepiness while the classroom filled withlaughter. Sorry Iruka sensei. Could you repeat that last thing?

Certainly, Iruka had a devilish smile. I said how doyou like it from the front or from behind?

The laughter exploded and even Professor Takahata was

laughing, at himself. As the class settled down, ProfessorTakahata took his place at the front of the class.

So I guess its time to announce the teams. Takahatapulled out a piece of paper with everyones name on it with

their assigned teams.Team A: Yosuke Sagara, Rukia Kuchiki, Rock Lee,

and Orihime Inoue.

Team b: Nodoka Miyazaki, Ichigo Kurosaki, Ku Fei,and Sasuke Uchiha.

Team C: Ino Yamanaka, Sesshomaru (no last name),Asuna Kagurazaka, and Evangeline McDowell.

Team D: Hinata Hyuga, Neji Hyuga, Sado Yusutora

(Chad), and Setsuna Sakurazaki.The classroom went dead silent after the teams had

been announced. The teams were in such a shamble that theclass didnt know what to think. Each team had two girls and

two guys. Also each team contained someone with an extreme

knowledge and someone who was an amazingly skilled fighter.

So, Professor Takahata breaks the silence to continue

what he was saying. So does anyone have questions,

comments, or concerns? He looks around the room for sresponse, a hint of being heard, or even someone to blink. Ahand in the back of the classroom shot up. Yes, um...Chad, is

it?Yeah, its Chad, Chad has a deep voice but not to

deep. He always has a way of being almost invisible until he

stands up. Chad stands 6'2" with medium brown hair. Hisbrown eyes make him seem so innocent but hes actually a

major fighter at the institute. Chad worked out at least fourtimes a week. Do I have to be in a team?

Before Professor Takahata had a chance to answer,

Ichigo answered Chad for him. Well, my guess is that they,meaning our professors, want to see how well we work

together. Plus Id like to see you work in a team.The classroom fills with an Oh. Chad felt like next

time hell just keep his mouth shut. Everyone knew that he wasthinking that because Chads face had gone completely pale.

Personally, his voice resonated, I think its a

splendid idea. It was Sesshomaru. If we work well as a team,who says they wont even hire us to protect the colony.

Keep dreaming, Sesshomaru. Dont think youre that

good yet. As always Evangeline had to stick her nose into

everything.

These two fast witted teens may sound alike, meaning

their attitude, but they look like polar opposites. Sesshomarustands 5'10" with long almost silver hair, dark blue eyes. All if

this wrapped up with a nice set of muscles make him seem

strong. Whereas, Evangeline stands 5'5", long blonde hair with

green eyes. Shes pretty slim with some curves to boot.

Would you two just knock it off, please! Now

everyones head turned to Hinata, who never raised her voice.You guys are always fighting, arguing, or just plain... Hervoice trails off. She has her eyes locked on Neji. Shes had a

huge crush on him since forever.I agree with Hinata, he says as if he was in charge.

Save the fighting for the battle grounds. I dont want to see

any fights unless they are on the battle grounds.Hinata and Neji are almost identical. Neji stands 5'11"

with a nice pair of muscles. He has long almost silver hair,same as Sesshomaru, with bright blue eyes. Whereas Hinata

only stands 5'8" with curves enough to make heads turn. She

has purple hair, bangs that cover her eyes, and beautiful blueeyes.

Okay class, Professor Takahata finally interrupted,thats enough. Its time for the teams to get together and

discuss strategies and game plans. Good luck, again.As Professor Takahata and Iruka sensei took their leave,

the classroom erupted with shouts trying to get everyones

team together. Arguments of leaders, fights about strategies anddisagreements over tactics filled the classroom.

Ichigo, Ichigo!As Ichigo came to reality, he noticed hi teammates had

found him. He recognized two of them but not the boy.

Hey Ku, Nodoka, whos he? Ichigo asked poking afinger at the boy next to Ku Fei.

Oh sorry man. The boy says with a sassy I dont care

attitude. The names Sasuke Uchiha. Dont you dare get in my

way out there, okay? Then he strolled off to his seat to map

out his strategy.

Sasukes about 5'10" with an above average body. His

dark blue, almost black, hair and dark blue eyes make himseem menacing and resentful looking.Wow, hes definitely got something stuck up his rear

Ichigo says with a laugh. So whats the plan girls?Both of them looking shocked, Ku and Nodoka

expected Ichigo to take the reins.

Um, I thought you leader, Ku says while looking ather feet. You said you would.

When did I say that?Earlier when Yosuke brought it up, Nodoka was also

looking at her feet. Im sorry for eavesdropping on you guys.

Ah dont worry. Ichigo says with a grin. Im gladyou listened to my amazing voice.

Dont flatter yourself. I still dont like you.A guy can dream, cant he, Ichigo just had to add his

two cents worth.So Ichigo be leader, Ku Fei asked with a beautiful

smile.

I guess I could be the leader. If thats what you wantSasuke, he shouts to Sasuke. Sasuke doesnt even make notice

of hearing him. Well I guess its decided. Im the leader.

Shouldnt we discuss tactics and strategies, asks

Nodoka. She always wants to get down to business.Leave the strategies to everyone else. Ichigos level

head makes the girls calm, down and relax.

Understood, leader. The girls replied at the same

But then what do we do? asks Nodoka as politely as

possible.

We wait and let them worry for us. Ichigo knows thatthe girls dont understand. Our strategy will be...The greatestoffense is the greatest defense.

So in other words, Nodoka finally understands whatIchigo meant, we defend our best until the right opening then

we attack. Right?

Exactly!Ichigo is playing safe, adds Ku Fei after a break of

talking. I have taught you well. Perhaps too well.Their group explodes with laughter while everyone

continues their mad rush for the perfect strategies and tactics.

Ch.4

As the test continues with teams trying to figure out thebest tactics and strategies, there is one group who is literally

sleeping in their chairs. Its Ichigo, Ku Fei, and Nodoka. How

could they be sleeping at a time like this? The class is reallyperplexed by the calm and relaxed looks of that group.

As Ichigo, Ku, and Nodoka rested, their teammate,Sasuke, was busy with his tactics book. Hes thinking to

himself, how could they sleep?

Would Team A, please report to training field A.Thank You.

Ah! Not now! Were not ready! screams Yosuke as ifit was the end of the world. Team A, lets go!

As Team A took off, Ichigo came out of his very relaxedrest. He takes a look around and notices that Yosuke and his

team have left. His team will be going next. Shouldnt take to

long.Better wake up my team, he thinks, they should at

least be awake to take the test.Wake up, Ku. Hey Nodoka, stop dreamin about me!

Ichigo! Dont you ever say that again. Nodokas

awake but seems to be a little grumpy.Nodoka, Ichigo just trying to wake up, Ku Fei is still

a little groggy but shes coming to. We ready for test?Almost, Ichigo replies with a glance towards SAsuke.

I, better yet we, have to deal with mister pretty boy over

there Ichigo gets to his feet and walks over to where Sasuke is

sitting and pulls up a chair up in front of him. So you ready

yet, pretty boy?

How could you? asks Sasuke without even a glanceup.How could I what? Ichigos facial expression sends

Sasuke into a rant or speech.You and the rest ofourteam, he started as loud as he

could, took a nap. You just dont take a nap in the middle of a

major exam. I mean come one. What about strategies or tacticsor whatever?

You cant predict an opponents moves before youeven get into your suit. Nodokas voice had such authority in

it, that Sasuke quieted down immediately.

Anyways, Ichigo agrees but he still thinks Sasukeneeds to be put in his place. And if youre relaxed, your mind

will be clear and focused rather than trying to stick to a certainplan.

But without structure, Sasuke is almost whining,were just blindly attacking and defending.

Not so, Ku Fei decides to add in her knowledge, not

blindly but intelligently. No plan means team have to trust eachother. If no trust, no win. Ku Feis cute and innocent smile is

so relaxing that Sasuke beings to agree.I guess youre right. Sasuke finally gives in. No

sense worrying about things I cant control.

Everyone is still racing and rushing to get strategiesdown pat. Ichigos team, even Sasuke now, is just sitting there

waiting for something to happen.Why do you think their isnt making strategies? asked

Chad ti Neji. I mean. Ichigo is always level headed but Sasuke

always has to have some kind of plan.

I know what you mean, interrupts Ino. Im sorry for

butting in but it does seem weird that no one from that group

even cares about the strategies.

By this time, everyone has joined into this conversation.

It seems that Ichigos team is definitely going to fail, but thatswhat they think.

I guess that was easy, Yosuke says while entering the

classroom.Yeah, but, its Rukia, our strategy didnt work!

WHAT? The whole class exploded at once. Everyoneexploded into a fury and rushed back to their groups. Only

Ichigos team was still relaxed because they had no strategy

Well yeah, Ichigo really doesnt want to explain

himself again, but it gives us more time to relax. If your

relaxed, you think better than when youre trying to conceive aset strategy.Okay. That makes sense.

So for the rest of their break, they just chatted with each

other. By the end of that fifteen minute break, the group was so

relaxed that they actually forgot about the test.Team B. Report to the same training field as Team A.

Huh. Ichigo and the whole team didnt evenremember the time passing by. I guess weve got to go now.

Yosuke, wheres the field?

At the end of hallway D-3.Thank you, chimed the team.

As Team B made their way down hallway D-3, Ichigosmind began to wander. Ichigo went back to when he first

entered the institution.

Good morning, young one, the headmaster says to a

very small boy. Are you alone? Wheres your mommy anddaddy?

I dont know, squeaked the little boy. His small

appearance and very high voice made him seem about fiveyears old.

How old are you?Im Ichigo and I just turned ten, last Saturday. The

old man was stunned. The boy was almost a teen yet he still

looked like a small child.

Well then, the headmaster is completely shocked,

where did you come from?

I was here with my mommy and daddy but then Iheard a big boom come from mommy and daddys room.When I went to find them nothing was left. No room, no

mommy, and no d-d-daddy! Ichigo was crying so hard that hewas barely breathing.

There, there, the headmaster had bent down to beface to face with him. How about you stay here for as long as

you need?B-b-but what abou mommy and d-dad-dy, Ichigo

managed to stutter out.

Well look for them, ok?OK!

And that was the end of that.

Ichigos mind came back to the present when he

entered the training field. He looked around the giant 2000' by2000' room in awe. He saw trees, mountains, and running

rivers. Besides all of the beautiful scenery, he saw the eightmobile suits.

Wait a minute, yells Ichigo, why are there eight

mobile suits?Oh, the headmaster steps through the door behind the

team. I didnt expect to see you, Ichigo. My, how youvegrown.

Ill field that. It was Hayate Gekko who spoke us.

You will be battling us, he points to Professor Takahata,

Iruka sensei, himself, and the beautiful Anko. Gekko was

known for being the ready-death and the already-dead. Ready-

death means ready to die and the already-dead means just that.Gekko always fought battles willing to die if someone wassparred.

So we have to...what? Nodoka asks looking around atthe two teams. Whats out objective?

The objective is, replies Iruka sensei with a smile, is

to disarm us. Their group explodes into laughter as Ichigo, Kufei, Nodoka, and Sasuke are left speechless.

Ch.5

Stunned as ever, Ichigo has no clue how to react.Should he attack them or defend against them or just destroy

them on first chance. He really doesnt want to hurt them, but ifhe has to, it cant be helped.

Ku Fei, Sasuke, and Nodoka are in the same boat as

Ichigo. Ku is a martial artist with a take down attitude notdisarming. Sasukes a pretty big hot head. Nodoka is the quiet

stay out of the way type. The whole team is shook up andshocked with this new addition to their test.

Ichigo is definitely still confident in his skills. He takes

this time to observe the mobile suits. There are eight of them.Four are custom made mobile suits for each professor and four

regular mobile suits. The regulars stand about 80-100 feet highwith the basic components: two daggers in the legs pouches, a

mini machine gun, and a beam saber. These weapons are very

basic. The only defense that the regulars have is the PS armor.

The custom mobile suits all vary. Two of them stand around

100-110 feet tall whereas the other two stand around 60-70 feet

tall. The tallest one is a dark shade of green and the other tallestis a light purple, probably belongs to Anko. She loves thecolour purple. The smaller ones are a navy blue and the other is

a bright orange with skulls and crossbones.From the looks of the suits, they all carry different

weaponry. The purple one probably carries: a machine gun,

hidden guns, some sort of sword, and a strong PS armor shield.The navy blue suit is most likely packing: a machine gun,

possibly two, hidden daggers in the leg pouches, that hugebeam sword strapped to its back, and a normal PS armor for

defense. The bright orange mobile suit had: a beam gun, a

beam saber, and fairly strong PS armor shield. Ichigo knowsthe orange suit well because it belongs to Iruka sensei. The

dark green suit carries: a beam machine gun, a beam dagger,possibly two, and those two huge shoulder shields that

probably move to better suit the pilot.After Ichigo takes in some helpful details about the

custom made mobile suits, he snaps back to reality. The team

was chatting up a storm. Ichigo walked over to the closet wherethe pilot outfits, or uniforms, hung. He pulled one out and tried

it on. It fit perfectly. He strolled back to his team and tried toget caught up on the conversation.

So are we prepared, Ichigo starts in, to relax and

stay calm, level headed people. Now lets go disarm someprofessors.

Aight, capain, Ku says with a salute and a smile.What first order?

Just get dressed.

Everyone got their pilot suits on and headed towards

the mobile suits. The team was stopped halfway there by theteam of professors.

Were going to give you the same choice as Team A.Ankos voice was so beautiful that it carried the boys up to

cloud nine.Your team leader or a member, its Iruka senseis turn

to speak, will get one of these custom suits.

Ichigo will pick, says Ku immediately.Agreed, Nodoka asks with the approval of Sasuke,

who agrees as well.Alright, Ichigo smiles and looks from suit to suit.

Well from the looks of them, I will pick...

Remember the suit has to suityou. adds Takahata

with a smile.I will pick the navy blue mobile suit. Ichigo says with

his famous grin.Anko, looks like you get a regular today, laughs

Gekko.

Wait, who owns the purple mobile suit? Ichigofigured that Anko owned the purple one so hed get rid of a guy

to even the odds.That would be mine, says Gekko with a sly, devilish

smile. Anko may love the colour purple but I own that mobile

suit.Team B looked completely shocked at this statement

from Gekko. No one figured that HE would admit to owning apurple coloured mobile suit.

Well then, the headmaster interrupts, shouldnt we

get started with the test. With a smile, he turns and leaves to a

protected booth where we will watch the battle.

Okay team, Ichigos taking charge, get in thosemobile suits and prepare for the battle.

Yes captain! they chimed in unison.As Ichigo started to turn on the suit when he heard a

voice in his head say, This is your chance to show them whatyoure made of.

No, he exclaims out loud, I must think of my team

and teamwork.Ichigo finishes the start-up procedure and then the

mobile suit does something odd. Instead of the screens in frontof him turning on, the suit went completely dark and he could

no longer see what was in front of him.

Hey whats going on? Ichigo asks without even thesmallest hint of being scared. This had better not be a joke.

He could feel his head fill with thoughts of his past

and... no wait someone elses past.

Ichigo, the little girl cries out, where did you go, big

brother?Big brother, he never remembered having a younger

sister, but just the thought made him want to know more and

keep watching.Nod.. that was Ichigos voice coming from behind the

rock. Ichigo couldnt hear the name of the girl but heard therest of what was being said. We were playing hide-and-go-

seek. Im supposed to run away.

Oh sorry, the little girl says with an innocent tone, I

thought you were gonna leave me here.

I would never do that, No... Again her name isunheard by Ichigo. The little boy comes out from behind the

rock and thats when Ichigo realizes that he was in the littlegirls mind, so he thinks.

Ichigo, we about to start. Get ready. It was Ku Feiwho pulled Ichigo back to reality over the communicator.

Ichigo realized that he never actually started the mobilesuit, it was just a dream, or was it. He hopes. Then as he starts

his mobile suit, he immediately checks the weaponry. Just as

thought, the mobile suit he was piloting had: a machine gun,four hidden daggers in the leg pouches, and the enormous

beam sword strapped to its back. He also realized that the PSarmor wasnt normal, in actuality, it had no PS armor. Instead,

it had something hed never heard of, BR armor.Ichigo immediately went into the on-board computer to

look up what BR stood for. To his amazement. It stood for

Beam Resistence which meant that the mobile suit receivedlittle damage from beam type weapons, plus it also could

protect itself from normal bullets and projectiles.Team B, Ichigo had to inform his team immediately,

these custom suits have a new kind of armor. Its called BR

armor. Which means these mobile suits take little damage frombeam weapons. It also has the same effect as PS armor but with

that addition.But thats impossible! Sasuke voice carries over to

Ichigo with a sound of disbelief.

Well believe it, Gekko says with a sense of pride,

we, meaning myself, Anko, Takahata, and Iruka have created

the new BR armor. We are the only people in the universe thathave such armor. His overconfidence gets on Ichigos last

nerve.I believe that the test should begin soon, the

headmaster interrupts again. Dont you professors?Yes sir! the professors reply all at once.

Well Team B, get ready for the end of the wait.

Gekko is still talking like hes already won. Let the testbegin!

Ch.6

Right off the bat, the mobile suits went into great battleagainst one another. The normal mobile suits piloted by the

other members Team B were moving with absolute precisionwhereas Ichigo wasnt. Ankos custom mobile suit had been

customly changed to easily fit her style. Ichigo had to re-write

the entire system s that it moved for him.

Once he configured the system, he immediately sprang

into battle. His first weapon out was his machine gun.Hows everyone doing? he called out to his

teammates.Im alright, replied Nodoka, but I could use some

help.Im right, Sasuke jumped between her and the green

mobile suit, HERE!

Almost had me, replies Takahata jumping away fromSasuke to barely dodge the attack.

Darn, Sasuke had almost sliced off one of Takahatasarms.

I need help, please! It was Ku Fei who was

screaming. Her mobile suit, that she piloted, was being backedinto the corner by Gekko.

Looks like I win this round, he says with a thrust ofhis beam sword towards her shoulder.

Oh, no you dont! Ichigo says while lunging atGekko. He almost made contact but Gekko dodged just in time.

And now it was Irukas turn on Ichigo.

He attacked from behind. Not good to leave yourself

open like that Ichigo. Irukas beam saber was about to takeout Ichigos legs. He had to act fast.

Ive got it, he thinks to himself. The navy blue mobile

suit bent forward giving Iruka the thought that he mightsurrender, but instead a large foot met Iruka in the chest. The

mobile suit fell to the ground with a loud thud.Ichigo, you alright? asks Nodoka with a fear in her

voice. Ichigo, where are you?

Im right behind you, Ichigo says with a smile. The

team now has the video communicator working. Ill always

have your back.When this is said, it seems like the world stops moving

and Ichigo goes back in time.

Its last summer when everyone decided to hook up

with someone. Rock and Rukia were a pretty hot couple.Sasuke and Evangeline were soulmates or so we thought.

Hinata and Neji realized, after kissing, that they were cousins.Yosuke and Setsuna hit it off but ended it fast. And

Ichigo with Asuna was absolutely perfect until...

Dont worry Asuna, Ichigo was pushing her in aswing. Ive got your back.

I dont need you to have my back, she replied withher nose in the air. In fact, I dont need you. She jumped off

the swing, her and Ichigo havent spoken since that incident.

Ichigo, look out!

Ichigo snapped back to realize that Iruka was on the

attack again.

Get your head in the game or youll end up dead!yells Nodoka hoping to save him.

As she jumps in front of Ichigo to block the oncomingattack. He realizes that she;ll fail to block the attack and

possibly get hurt.

When he hears his voice in his head repeat this, he

decides I will protect her with my life.Just as Iruka is about to make contact, Ichigo trips

Nodoka sideways into his held-out arm and with the other oneswinging his beam sword off his back and aiming for Iruka.

It had happened so fast that Iruka didnt knowwhat to do. Before he knew it, he was laying on the ground

unable to move. Ichigo had beaten him in one strike.Ichi...go,

Nodoka realizes what Ichigo had done and understand thedanger he had put himself into. Thank you, she says with

tears swelling up in her eyes.I meant what I said before.

After Ichigo helped Nodoka back to her feet, the battle

continued. Sasuke took on Gekko, Ku Fei and Nodoka foughtoff Takahata, while Ichigo tackled Anko.

The professor team had fallen one by one except forGekko who was still standing. Being tired, both sides had lost

any edge they might have started with.Well, Gekko says with a puff of air, looks like Im

the last one left. Team A did the smart thing and finished me off

first. Haha haha. Whereas you guys leave me to the last. Hestarted laughing and another round was about to being.

This last professor was the hardest and Sasuke wasbeginning to lose patience. He had figured out a perfect

strategy but needed the entire teams help.

Listen up guys, Sasuke says with a new foundconfidence, I have a plan. Everyone got close together but

stayed on defense and high alert because Gekko went intohiding. When he comes out, fire your guns at him while I

sneak up behind him with your sword, Ichigo.

Why? Ichigo knew each mobile suit had one sword.

Earlier he destroyed mine, he replied with a shameful

tone. Ichigo handed it to him. Thanks, Ichigo. Now what Imgoing to attempt is to take out Gekkos legs when hes not

looking.Everyone agreed on the strategy. After the agreement,

Gekko jumped out from behind a mountain and began firinghis machine gun.

Team B covered Sasuke as he slipped away, Ichigo was

unloading round after round of bullets.Sasuke could finally see that back of Gekkos mobile

suit. He came up behind and swings the sword that Ichigo hadgiven him to use.

Gekko realizes the sneak attack and jumped up to

dodge the attack. Sasuke was startled and swings the swordhigh. The sword caught him right beside the pilot cockpit.

Oh no! Ichigo knew what happens next. Gekko getout of your mobile suit befo...

BOOM! The mobile suit explodes int o a ball of flame.Gekko was killed. The headmaster and the rest of the professor

team helped extinguish the fire while everyone was herded

back to class.Gekko was prepared to die but not by the hands of a

believed beginner. He always believed that hed go in the heatof battle. He was impressed with Team B; he knew they were

going far due to their amazing teamwork and compassion for

each other.The classroom went dead silent as Team B walked in

followed by the headmaster, Takahata, Anko, and Iruka sensei.Everyone couldnt understand why all these people were here.

Yosuke couldnt find Gekko because he knew that those were

the professors doing the testing.

Everyone take a seat please. When everyone realizes

that Ichigo had spoken and not a professor, they knewsomething was wrong. Team B needs to say a few words.

I start, Ku says with her head hanging low. No beupset when we speak. We had accident during exam.

The actual test, it was Nodokas turn to speak, was abattle between a team of professors and a team of students.

She looked from the headmaster to Iruka standing on th end.

We were to disarm all of the professors. But...Sasukes turn is going to be the last. I had the perfect

strategy. When I was about to take out professor Gekkosmobile suit, he jumped and... He drew in a breath for relief of

some pressure. I cut his mobile suit at the side where upon it

exploded, killing him.The classroom remained silent, no one breathed, no one

coughed, and no one dared to blink. No one knew how to reactto the loss of someone that had been so close for so many

years.Why did you do it, Sasuke? cried Evangeline. We

know you didnt get along with him, but why kil...

Shut your mouth, please, Ichigo didnt realize that hehad raised his voice. He took a moment to get it back down. It

was an accident. We didnt know that Gekko would react as if

he was in a serious battle. Im sorry to everyone. Im sorry. Ifyou got something to say about MYteam, then say it to me.

It started slow, then began to grow. Before Ichigo knew

it the classroom erupted with applause. His team was doing thesame thing. The entire class got up and came to the front where

everyone hugged and laughed about anything.

Good job, Ichigo, Gekkos ghost was sitting in the

professors chair. Thats what I wanted to hear. Cant wait to

see what you do next. Then he disappeared.Thanks, he says in a low whisper.

Okay, then, the headmaster finally decided to saysomething, we have come up with a solution to our one-man

short problem. We will have Ichigo replace Gekko in thetesting.

Awesome, someone yelled, now I can fight Ichigo.

The rest of the class agreed, but Ichigo would prefer to notpilot a purple mobile suit.

Oh no my friend, the headmaster says with a smile,you will get a custom mobile suit of your own.

What? Ichigo was dumb founded. No student had

ever received a custom made mobile suit after his first ever in-suit test. Why? How? When?

Just follow Takahata. He will take you to the customshop as we call it.

Again the classroom exploded with applause andcheers. Ku and Nodoka hugged Ichigo and said goodbye.

Sasuke, even mad at him, shook his hand and said good luck.

And as he took one last look before he left, the classroomexploded with applause one last time.

When we get there dont freak out, Takahata says

The hallway going to the custom shop was filled withpictures of custom mobile suits that the shop had built. There

were pictures of mobile suits Ichigo had never seen and thenpictures of the mobile suits that he had just fought were at the

end of the hallway with the captions reading The Last Four.

These were the last four mobile suits made by the custom shop.When the two big doors to the custom shop opened,

Ichigos jaw literally hit the floor. There are blank armor lessmobile suits everywhere, armor scattered all over the place,

guns of every kind were being fixed and built, and beam

swords of all kinds were having the same thing done.The first thought that came to Ichigo was, Whats

first? But as he walked in he became more aware that everymechanic had stopped what they were doing and rushed over to

just in front of Ichigo and Takahata.Hey boys, Takahata says with a smile. Can you

happen to tell me where I might find the head mechanic,

Jiraiya?The mechanics stopped dead. No one ever walked in

and just askedto see Him. He was only called on by the

headmaster and Takahata knew this and he was prepared forthis bump in the road.

Dont worry boys, Takahata pulls out the letter, Icame prepared. He was waving the letter like it was money.

One of the mechanics stepped forward. He had on oilstained overalls, with big steel toed boots. He looks very old

and you could almost say used.

Jiraiya wont help you, the mechanic says in a scruffyvoice. He only speaks with the headmaster. Ill be happy to

help. Just call me the second head mechanic. So what can I...Oh no, Takahata says with a grin, Jiraiya will

probably want to see this letter. Again he waved the letter.The mechanic took it and ran over to the office.

Immediately, another man came bolting out towards Ichigo.

Ichigo notices that his man is clean shaven, wearing blue jeansand a wrinkled dress shirt. This man couldnt possibly be a

mechanic.Takahata! the man screams in a fury of anger. Dont

give me this bull! The headmaster has lost it! Why? Who?

When? How?Dont look at me, Takahata says with a glance at

Ichigo. And with that Takahata takes his leave.Ichigo looks from face to face to get a response.

Well, the head mechanic says, I guess I shouldintroduce myself. Im known as Jiraiya the Master Mechanic.

He notices Ichigo is very uneasy about everything. I hear you

need a mobile suit.Yeah but, Ichigo doesnt know what hes supposed to

do. Im Ichigo Kurosaki and I have no clue what Im doing

here.Well me boy, Jiraiya says with a smile and a pat on

the back to get Ichigo moving towards the office. I have beengiven special orders to help you custom build a mobile suit. I,

personally, have only built one custom mobile suit which wasnever used. Most custom mobile suits fall into the hands of the

second head, I just approve the building. But Ill take this one

I still dont understand. All you do, Jiraiya sayswith an exhausted breath, is pick what you want.We do the

rest.Pick what though?

Colour, weapons, speed, internal components, and anyother thing you can think of. Ichigo can hear the excitement in

his voice.

Is it alright if I just check out the shop? Ichigo askswith the hope that he could escape the mechanics eyes.

Go ahead, Jiraiya says reluctantly. But dont botheranyone.

Ichigo got up and left the office. Ichigo visited themobile suit interiors or skeletons. He wanted to know what the

mobile suits looked like without any armor or weapons. Theskeletons had no colour, no armor, and no weapons. Nothing.

He came to where a skeleton was that looked differentcompared to the rest. It was black, whereas the rest were white.

The mechanic working on the black skeleton saw Ichigo

looking at the skeleton with interest.Ay boy, the mechanic has a sailors accent. Ya like

da look of her. Aint she beautiful.

Why does it look different? Ichigo knows that theskeleton is not normal.

Acerca de qu habla usted? says the other mechanicfrom the opposite side if the tool box.

Deal, the mechanic agrees not knowing that Ichigo isabout to have a custom mobile suit made for himself. This

brand new skeleton has the normal components and thensome. The mechanic smiles and continues, And its only

suited for Jiraiya himself. The actual movement has been

enhanced to move faster, use thrusters faster, and enhanceones reflexes. So in a nut shell, this suits skeleton would be

way out of your league.Alright, Ichigo says with a laugh, Im off. Thanks,

boys! Ichigo takes one last look at the skeleton, then he headstowards the armory.

While walking towards the armory, Ichigos mind goes

for another walk down memory lane.

The bright sun beaming down on... wait who is that?

The person lying there was not Ichigo but some girl. Wow,shes beautiful. Her bright blue bikini was the first thing he

noticed. Her short dark hair was lying on her beach blanket.Thats right. Ichigo realizes hes on a beach. But why?

Why the beach? What did it mean?

The sand and ocean look so peaceful. In fact,

everything around him looks peaceful. Is this past or present or

maybe even future. But again why?Ichigo continues watching the girl. She looks like...

wait no somethings happening. The image of the beach andthe girl began to blurr and then it came back in focus but

something was different.The girl was gone and the sky was a dark red colour.

BOOM! An explosion went off just a way up the beach. Next

was a mobile suit falling to the ground. But none of anythinglooks like anything Ichigo knew.

Whats next? Ichigos scared silly and then BOOM!

Hey men! a mechanic screamed covering his ears.

Watch what youre doing with the missile pod launchers.They activate easily.

Ichigo takes a moment to catch his breath. Anotherflashback. Or was it a foreflash. Which ever it was, Ichigo

knows that these were no coincidences. Something was meant

by these flashes.Ichigo looks over to where he heard the explosion. It

was just some mechanics firing at the armor to check for

problems. It seems that all the armor is working properly andeffectively. They were also checking the PS armors level.

Each PS armor has a level of damage it can take before it fades.Ichigo then notices armor that looks nothing like the

rest. Its colours were that of blue and white torso with a rubycrystal in the center, and the rest of the armor was somewhere

else.

Ichigo walks up to the mechanic who was screaming

and seemed to be in charge. Where are the rest of the armor

parts to the blue and white armor?Oh those are on special lock down, the mechanic said

without even looking away from his check list. Those areJiraiyas armor parts.

Yes. Thats what I thought. Ichigo is beginning to askwhy Jiraiya has all these parts being made just for him. None

of this makes any sense.

Ichigo continues his journey through the custom shop.Next stop is weaponry and defense.

Ichigo has to enter the other section of the custom shopbuilt just for the weaponry and defense. The defense would be

shields: hand-held, arm-mounted, and shoulder-mounted.

Weaponry dealt with guns and swords, the offense.Ichigo figures that he will find some more parts for

Jiraiya. Just as he thought. There was a screen dividing theenormous room in two. On the screens it read, Keep out,

Jiraiya ONLY.Great. A Keep out sign. Theres my invitation.

Ichigo thinks to himself with a grin. He sneaks around the

screen and cannot believe his eyes.In front of him stood enough weapons and defenses to

make at least five mobile suits. There were machine guns,

beam rifles, beam cannons, huge metal swords, beam swords,beam sabers, and even beam shields along with normal ones. It

is amazing. Ichigo knows exactly what to ask for and exactlyhow to get it.

Ch.8

First thing that has to be done is a meeting with Urahara

Kisuke. This man is kinda shady but a good friend of Ichigo.

Kisuke, because everyone preferred to call him that, isabout the same height as Ichigo. Kisuke stands 6'2" tall with

scruffy blonde hair and green eyes. Hes always been a big hitwith the ladies but he would never have time to actually go out

with one. Kisuke prefers to stay at his shop and lounge about.He owns a mechanics shop which he is the head mechanic

with only one other helper. Even though he doesnt get a lot of

customers, those who do go to him will never go anywhereelse. Most things he sells are homemade and completely

original.

Ichigo informs Jiraiya that he has to step out for a fewminutes. Jiraiya just told him not to take to long. Ichigos first

stop was the headmasters office. He had to run his plan by himjust to cover his tail.

Why? Hello, Ichigo, the headmaster greets with anopen smile. How goes the suit construction?

Actually thats why Im here.

Ichigo explains his plan and, of course, the headmaster

is completely for it. The headmaster makes the notice to the

students that the test are ready to continue. He then callsSasuke, Nodoka, and Setsuna. Ichigo waits in the office for the

rest of the team to show up.As they show up and take their seats, the headmaster

explains why hey were asked to come up.My friend, Ichigo, the headmaster starts with a

gesture towards Ichigo, was supposed to build a custom

mobile suit if you recall. But he has stumbled onto somethingand...

Ill take it from here, says Ichigo wearing his grin.And thats why youre here. How would you like to build

yourown mobile suit? Ichigo can tell from their lit-up faces

that they were all for it. Well it just so happens that we can butwe have to visit a friend of mine before we start. Building them

should take about two days.When do we start? Sasuke jumps as impatient as ever.

Right after we visit, Kisuke.

Wow, I said with a stretch followed by a yawn, I feel

great. I quickly threw on my favorite T-shirt and jeans. I raced

downstairs to eat my breakfast that Mom ha made.There you are, Mom said with a smile. You know,

youre going to be late again.Yes mom, I know, I said exhaustedly.

As I left my house, my mom yells to me to not forgetmy coat. The sun is bright and the sky is blue. My hair waving

in the wind with out a care. I was happy until that night.

All I remember is the battle outside, the evacuation

order, and my dad yelling, GO! Ill be alright, Setsuna! And I

never heard from him again.Mom and I had to move to Heliopolis where I could

attend the institute. I never wanted what happened to mehappen to anyone else. Its just not right.

As they walk towards Kisukes shp, Ichigo decides tofully explain what was happening.

The reason were coming to see Kisuke, Ichigo sayswith a look of hope, is to ask him to help us out. Now before

you say anything, let me explain. He stops, takes deep breath,

filling his lungs, and continues. Jiraiya cant build all themobile suits alone , he needs help. Ichigo raises a finger to

stop Sasuke from asking the obvious. Kisuke is a good friendof mine an has helped me out before. Him and Jiraiya dont get

along to well but theyre the best mechanics this side ofHeliopolis.

Setsuna and Nodoka agreed, but Sasuke had one more

question.Then, how are we going to get them to work side-by-

side?

Ichigo already knew the answer. They have a commongoal. They both wish to build me a suit. The group was

stunned by this revelation. Thats right. Kisukes wanted tobuild me a suit since we first met. Now Jiraiya wants to build

me one mobile suit. Its perfect! Again Setsuna and Nodokaagreed, and again, Sasuke had one more question.

But how? hes getting frustrated, I dont

understand.

Just suit back and watch, and Ichigo set his plan in

motion.As they came around the corner towards the shop, they

realize just how shady it actually looks. It was a basic metalshed, 200' by 200'. The group wondered how you could fit an

entire mobile suit in that shop. When inside, the group, exceptfor Ichigo, was taken aback because they had actually stepped

into a giant elevator.

Hello..., the voice was scruffy and somewhatmysterious. Might I ask who is disrupting me?

Aw come one, Kisuke.Hey! No one calls me that! You could tell that he

does not appreciate being called by his last name. My name is

Urahara. Understand delinquents!With a smile and a laugh, Ichigo says, Is that any way

to talk to me, Kisuke. There was a pause in the conversationwhere he tried to figure out who he was.

Theres only one guy who calls me by my last name.The group could hear the confidence in his voice. And he is

taking an exam today. So, again I ask, who are you?

Again Ichigo let out a laugh and almost began crying.Im so sorry, Ura-HA-ra. The entire group is laughing now at

how Ichigo said his name.

So now you mock me! Kisukes hot-headedness isstarting to be apparent. You just wait! Then the speaker cut-

out.The elevator came to a stop at the bottom. The two

large doors to the elevator opened with a huge puff of air. Theactual shop was enormous. At least four acres by four acres.

You could not see the ceiling, it was that high. Immediately

had the needed parts while others were just skeletons.

There is a little hut like building about forty feet awaywith a sign that read, Im not here. If I was, Im not her.

Now lets see who we have? Kisukes voice rung outfrom the hut. A short 5'8", slouching, man staggered out of the

hut. He was hearing a bucket hat that covered most of his dirtyblonde hair as well as his green eyes. He wore a ragged looking

kimono that he has probably had since he was their age.

So do I still have to call you, Urahara? Ichigo askswith a smile and a laugh. Well, do I?

Kisukes eyes darted to where Ichigo stood. He liftedhis hat off, top reveal his dirty blonde hair, and wipe his

forehead as if he was saying, Oh Lord above.

The group immediately feels the tension lessen with hisgesture. He replaced his hat and let out the most horrific laugh

that anyone of them had ever heard. This sends the group into afury of laughter with a couple of tears.

Ha ha ha! Ichigo, my good friend! Kisuke is pattinghim on the shoulder and giving him a good hug. I havent see

ya in, like, what two years.

Yeah I know, Ichigo says seriously. But you shouldknow by now that I never make pleasure visits.

Ichigo, did I ever tell you that youre a mood killer,

replies Kisuke. So whats the business of today?I, actually, we need your help,:Ichigo says with a

hopeful attitude.With what, my good friend? he replies with a

sarcastic tone.Build us custom mobile suits, he starts then finishes

fast, at the institute with Jiraiya.

What!? Kisukes face had gone cherry red. His laid

back attitude gone and replaced with absolute fury. You

should know that I will never work with that man! heexclaims.

But Kisuke,...No means no, even for you, Kisuke declares with less

rage in him. Hes known for being big-headed but for a shortperiod of time. I have always wanted to customize your

mobile suit but why with him?

First off, he has what we need, Ichigo knew that thiswas coming. Second, you and Jiraiya are that smartest and

most creative mechanics around. And last, you have the mostbrains and cunning I have ever seen.

Well, I still dont understand why?

We need your help because, Ichigo pauses thecontinues, Jiraiya cant build four suits in a couple of days.

We need someone who can imagine it. Then transform it intoreality.

I still dont agree, but, he sounds very exhausted, Icannot turn you down. With that said you will oversea all

things right?

Yup. No problem.The Ill do it.

Okay back to the institute. Ichigo can see that his

team knows that there is something more. Yes, we do haveone more stop.

Raining, it never fell like this before. You cant even

see through the windows. Its as if God has blinded me from

the outside. I wish it wouldnt rain, it stops me from goingoutside and rolling around on the grass. Ah, how I wish to go

out.

... ... ..., a murmur. Who is it? ... and... father... Idont know. Wait!

Where am I? Howd I get here? Why am I here?Nothing makes any sense. Whats that murmur? Who is that

murmur?Better question then all, who am I? Im alone, no one is

here with me nor for me. Why did they leave? How did they

die? Who did it?

I will find that person and I will do to them as they have

done to me. I will avenge my family and protect those whoneed my protection.

Ch.10

Ichigos second stop had brought them to a marketdowntown. There were food vendors, jewelry vendors, and

even some and weavers. It all looked very old and less evolved.

Now that they are back at the institute, they decide totake a quick break and just chill for a bit.

Nodoka and Setsuna start off down a hallway, talkingabout what they should name their mobile suits. While Ichigo

and Sasuke stay put a the lounge.Now is my chance to pick his mind, says Ichigo in his

mind. Hey, Sasuke

Ichigo, Sasukes voice was quiet and almost scared.

Why did you pick me, even after I treated you so bad?

Ichigo relaxes into his seat. His eyes go up to theceiling where most of his words come from. A team cannot

exist on brains alone, nor can it exist on strength alone. Thatwould be why I picked you. Sasuke tilted his head to the side

with a questionable look. You have brains and brawn but youget cocky sometimes. I want you to understand that I choose

you because of your skill. Maybe, Ichigo says with a smile,

we could be friends. Personally Im not an enemy kind ofguy. He starts laughing and is soon joined by Sasuke.

Thank you, Sasuke says through a laugh. He calmshimself down and repeats it again. Thank you, my f4riend.

Ichigo finishes laughing and begins asking Sasuke a

couple of questions. Sasuke doesnt seem to be in the mood butagrees anyway.

Should we just leave them there together? Setsunaasks with a worried tone. I mean they are always fighting.

Dont worry about them, replies Nodoka with a

giggle. Some things just have to be fought out amongfriends.

Friends? Setsuna is shocked to hear that about Ichigo

and Sasuke. They have been rivals sine, like, forever. How can those two be friends when they are nothing alike with no

common grounds?The thing is, Nodoka says with a serious tone, They

are probably more alike than twins. They may not look alikebut they do act alike without even knowing it. Nodoka can tell

she just dumb founded Setsuna. I know, you dont see it, but

its the truth.

But that still doesnt answer my question.

Common grounds? Nodoka takes a moment to thinkover her reply. Actually its pretty obvious... they both want to

protect. Yes, they want to protect indifferent ways, but they arestill alike. Nodoka paused for Setsuna to wrap her head

around the thought. For Ichigo, he wants to protect all fromdeath and destruction. For Sasuke, he aims to protect those who

he holds close. In short, they needto protect to be happy.

I understand now, Setsuna exclaims with great joy.Ichigo and Sasuke are alike because they need to protect.

They fight because its what they want to do. They wont showa weakness to anyone, not even us, for fear of not being able to

do their job.

Exactly! exclaims Nodoka with relief and joyThe girls continue talking about girly things all the way

to the lunge to meet up with the guys.

Ichigo stopped short when he saw the girls

approaching. He could tell by the look of them that they weretired and worn out.

Wanna have a seat girls? yells Ichigo.

The girls nod and take a seat across from the guys. Thelounge is about the size of a classroom. A soft, fuzzy carpet

covered the floor, from one end to the other. On one of thewalls hang pictures of custom mobile suits and great battles.

There were couches all around with little tables between them.The group is located at the couches closest to the windows.

Havent actually thought about it, Ichigo says while

scratching the back of his head. Have you, Sasuke?Not really, he says with the same questionable look as

Ichigo. But I have an idea for mine. I was gonna name it, DBGundam. Death Bringer Gundam.

Oh scary, Sasuke, says Setsuna with a hint ofsarcasm. Mine will be, The Savior.

I like it, Nodoka says, but its to God-like. Mine will

be, Little Princess.Now theres a name, says Ichigo with a bright smile

towards Nodoka. I will name it after my goal. It will be madeof Gundanium alloy and it will be

thinking. No one had ever smiled like that before towards him.

Deep down, Ichigo is feeling something that he has neverfeltbefore. This feeling is one that he only felt when he was with

his family before the accident.Thanks, is all he can mutter out. Its time to head to

the custom shop and begin our designs.I have a small question, Sasuke says with a look of

impatience. What and why are we doing this?

Thats what Ive been wondering adds Setsuna with

the same look as Sasuke.

If you dont mind, Ichigo, but Ill answer them.Nodoka seems to know almost everything and for some reason

Ichigo is drawn to her.Go right ahead if you wanna, he replies almost

chocking on his words.We have been chosen not only by Ichigo, but also by

the headmaster to be an elite squad. Nodoka is close to the

truth but a little off. We are chosen to protect. Am I right,Ichigo?

Well, Ichigo doesnt want to burst her lovely bubble.Youve almost got it. The only difference is the reason why we

are doing it. He paused to look at their expressions. We are

notthe only chosen ones. We are just the beginning. Our entireclass has been chosen, but they need a foundation to build

upon. Thats why we are here. We are here to protect and alsoset a foundation for the rest to follow on. Ichigo knows that

the group is beginning to understand.Alright then,: Sasuke breaks the dead silence after

Ichigos speech. So whats next?

The custom shop was never a nice place. Hardly anylights were on, those that were, were dimmed. Most lights were

about the size of a car light and sometimes smaller.

Parts for mobile suits were left everywhere. Oil was

spilled on every tool. Tools were old, rusty and left everywhere

and anywhere. The shop looked like a complete mess.Jiraiya was someone who couldnt give a darn about

how the shop looked. He hardly even cared how he looked, butwhen a beautiful woman came around, he would clean up a bit.

When he cleaned up, he actually looked somewhat presentable.But when Kisuke had shown up, Jiraiya had done a

complete clean sweep of the entire shop.

Were back, Jiraiya! Ichigo yells with his joyful tone.Did you miss me? I know I missed you!

Ichigo, please calm down, Nodoka whispers with anattempt to quiet him down. Why do you have to yell?

Dont worry, girly. Were not hard at hearing.

For the first time in many years, Kisuke and Jiraiyawere standing side-by-side and smiling. They have been

enemies and rivals since they opened their own proper shops.Their feud has fueled their creativity tin an attempt to surpass

one another.I know you guys would get along, Ichigo was smiling

from ear to ear. I cant wait to get the ball rolling. I have it

all--Oh we know, Kisuke says with a devilish grin. But

we have bigger and better plans.

All you have to do is deliver this to the headmaster,adds Jiraiya handing Ichigo an envelope. Leave the rest to

us!Alright, Ichigo says while pocketing the envelope,

but I better not be getting ripped off. Ichigo figures that theguys have a major plan for them to send a letter to the

headmaster.

Ichigo tells the others to head back to class because he

knew that plans had been changed.

Its dark. The power has been cut. I cant see anything.

Where are my mom and dad? Where are they? I cant seeSasuke!

Thats my moms voice. Where is she? Someone has

my hand! Let go! Please! Why cant they hear me? Whatswrong?

Ill protect yoTheres a liquid on my hands. Its warm. That voice,

my moms voice, is gone. Click! Ah, the lights are on.

Blood!! Whered it come from? Mom, youre hurt.No,...youre dead. Who did this?

Dad and Sis are upstairs safe and sound. Mom, Ill getwhoever did this and I will protect Dad and Sis.

Sasuke? Orihime says in a worried voice as if shewas family. Are you alright? You look kinda pale.

Just a bad memory, he replies with a bright smile.

Im alright.As Ichigo got to the headmasters office, he notices that

the secretarys desk is vacant. No one is there.Whered Miss Takahata go? Ichigo thinks almost out

loud. Miss Takahata is Mr.Ts sister, although, she is muchbetter looking. I guess Ill just go in. He probably wont

mind.

Hello, Mr. Kurosaki, says a strange voice. This guy

looks kinda familiar but Ichigo cant put a finger on it. I take

it you dont remember me, do you?No, Im sorry I dont, Ichigo continues to rack his

brain for any kind of hint.Should tell him, shouldnt I? he says towards the

headmaster. The headmaster nods yes. Ichigo, he says almostin a whisper. Ichigo looks up him to see exactly who he is. My

name is Train Heartnet.

It struck Ichigo as if hed been hit by a bullet. This manstanding before him was a myth, a legend. Train Heartnet was

one of the most skilled mechanics andpilot. His fierce battlesended fast due to his speed and accurate hits.

Train stands 5'9" and has bright yellow, almost gold,

coloured eyes, with the same colour hair. He was known towear dark coloured clothes to portray him as a threat but in

actuality hes a super nice guy.The first time that Ichigo met this man was that turning

point in Ichigos life when the accidenthappened.

Here kid, let me help you, the stranger said. My

name is Train Heartnet. Im here to help.

No!" Ichigo screamed. I want mommy. Ichigo begansobbing. Daddy...where you go?

Train scooped up the kicking and screaming Ichigo and

began running out of the blazing inferno. The building hadbeen bombed but the only ones killed were Ichigos family.

Train took Ichigo straight to the headmasters place,

although, he left Ichigo outside to fend alone until the

headmaster found him.

Why did you leave you me!? screams Ichigo at the

top of his lungs. I could have died! Why did you leave?You had to find your own way, he replies with a calm

attitude. I knew that if I had given you to the headmaster, you

might have rebelled against him.Whatever.

Ichigo. I hate to interrupt reunions, but, theheadmaster says in the nicest way possible, why have you

come to see me?

Ichigo hands him the envelope from Kisuke and Jiraiya.Yes. Okay, Ichigo, you can head back to class.

With a nod and a final farewell, Ichigo heads offtowards his classroom, not knowing what awaited him.

Everyone in the classroom was in a buzz with the groupthat came back. Sasuke, Nodoka, and Setsuna were crowded by

everyone asking questions. It turns out that everyone in Class2-A had easily passed the exam.

Ichigo peeks in the crack of the door to make sure notto make a fuss. He slowly opens the door and slips in. Ichigo

notices that everyone is in the back corner, so he easily slides

to his seat to await the news.The first person to notice Ichigo was Asuna. Asuna was

the dumb blonde of the class with blue eyes and standing 5' 7"with a body to boot. Ichigo has known Asuna for many years.

When they were together, as in dating, they were inseparable.

But now, they hardly even talk.She didnt say anything to him because she could tell he

was waiting for something or possibly someone.As the headmaster enters the room, everyone took their

seats. Almost immediately, they all realized that Ichigo is back.Murmurs went around asking when, why, and how.

Students, the headmaster starts in loud, I have

amazing news forallof you! He begins to laugh.I knew it, Ichigo thinks. I just knew it. His smile

lights up his face.

Since all of you passed the exam with such ease, theheadmaster is still smiling, the mechanics of this institute,

with the aid of Kisuke and a friend, have decided to buildcustom suits for all of you.

The classroom exploded with cheers and happy shouts.No one expected that they would allreceive their own custom

suits.

The friend must be Train, Ichigo thinks, thats why

hes here.

So if you wouldnt mind, he says quietly, so thateveryone quiets down, your homework for tomorrow is to

come up with your designs for your suits.Why so soon? Ichigo asks quietly.

That will be explained in all good times, theheadmaster reassures with a smile. Ichigo nods and sits back.

Class dismissed for the day.

As everyone left, Ichigo is left sitting alone until herealizes that Nodoka is behind him.

Something wrong, Ichi,? Nodoka asks with a giggleand gri. You look kinda upset. Can I help you?

Nope. Nothing is wrong, he replies with a fake smile.

So I take it were going to the next step in our relationship.What!? her face went bright red. Her cute shyness

was what attracted Ichigo to her. With this gesture by her, heknew what was next.

I was kidding, he laughs. So whats your answer?Answer? Nodoka seems confused. What was the

question?

The next step, Ichigo replies with a shy look.Oh, you mean a date, dont you? Nodoka likes this

idea. In actuality, shes been waiting for him to say something.

You wanna? If yes then, tomorrow we could go catch aflick.

Okay, she replies, still blushing. Well, we should goget our homework done. Ichigo nods in agreement and they

split to their rooms.First, Ichigo begins designing his suit, that armor and

skeleton, I want them. He writes it down. And for my

weapons... beam sword, beam rifle, beam shield, and head

vulcans. He stills keeps his pen scribbling down his thoughts.

I dont care for colours, I just want to protect her. Ichigopauses to look at his design so far. He realizes his last line is a

complete truth but he has to erase it.Ichigo! yells Sasuke from down the hall. Ichigo,

come quick!Ichigo bolts down the hall towards Sasuke. Sasukes

face is covered with a look of shock. This makes Ichigo

uncomfortable.Whats going on? Ichigo spurts out. What

happened?Just look for yourself!

Ichigo looks down the next hall to see a blaze and a suit

standing there. This hall lead to the custom shop but maybe notanymore.

Evacuate immediately!Ichigo grabs Sasukes arm and starts heading towards

the shop.Ichigo! What are you doing? Youre going to get us

killed!

Not today! he yells through the siren.As they make their way down the hallway, Nodoka and

Ku fei fall out of a room. Both of them are in complete shock

and are both on the verge of unconsciousness. The group, girlsin the guys arms, are running to the shop as fast as possible.

Ichigo! A voice yells for him. In here!Ichigo follows the voice into a huge hangar. The lights

flick on to reveal four mobile suits and a launch pad. Jiraiyaand Kisuke come out of the booth together.

Train has already launched into the battle, Kisuke

says rapidly.

We have four mobile suits already to go, adds Jiraiya.

They have been custom built for you four, which is perfect.

But we never-Dont worry, Ichigo, Kisuke says with a smile.

These are perfect!The mobile suits have their names engraved, so you

can easily find which suit is yours, adds Jiraiya again.,

Ichigo looks down at Nodoka, in his arms, and she issmiling up at him. He lets her down and they quickly get the

pilot suits on. Everyone runs over to the mobile suits and arestopped short when the mobile suits are exactly what they

wanted.

Sasukes Death Bringer is black with some yellowparts. Its equipped with a machine gun, normal titanium

shield, and a beam scythe. It also has the BR armor, as do therest of the mobile suits. Ku Feis Healer is white, green, and

some orange parts. It has a machine gun, beam sword, and anormal shield. Nodokas Little Princess has white, pink, and

black for its colours. Its got a beam rifle, normal shield, extra

thruster pack, and an extended beam saber. The mobile suitsare amazing but Gundam TPA-18 is the best.

The Protector, for short, is blue and white with a ruby

crystal in the center of the torso. It has a crown-like top withtwo head vulcans on either side. In the hand is a large beam

rifle and a beam shield attached to the right arm. Strapped to itsback is an enormous beam sword that probably weighed

around 200 tons. Jiraiya informs Ichigo that this is no ordinarymobile suit. The skeleton is that black one that Ichigo had seen

earlier in the shop.

Team, suit up, yells Ichigo, lets do it right.

Yes, captain!

Everyone got in their mobile suits and fires them up. Assoon as everyones mobile suit is ready, Ichigo opens the

comm link.

Everyone hear me?All clear.

Okay, he is totally pumped for this, lets go get em!

But remember, keep them away from the people of Heliopolis.He pauses to calm himself down. We are here to protect them.

So lets give it our best shot! And all four mobile suits launchinto the battle.

I wont let anyone get hurt! It is my job to protect

them. I swore I would and I will! He closes his eyes ans says alittle prayer before he begins his lifes mission.

Ch.13

The sky is coloured a beautiful red and orange. Smoke

is filling the sky with an ear-splitting siren. The entire area is

being evacuated while Train tries to hold off the fleet of mobilesuits poring down on them. Houses, offices, and some parts of

the institute have caught fire and are slowly burning to theground. Fire mobile suits, who help with massive fires

outbreaks, are working diligently to put the flames out.Trains mobile suit is in heated combat with an enemy

mobile suit with around ten thousand more behind it. His

mobile suit is a type of Dreadnought, equipped with two beamsabers, four head vulcans, an enormous machine gun, a

titanium shield, and it has the BR armor. His mobile suit is

named the Black Cat for its reputation as the most silent of allsuits.

The enemys fleet consisted of two different types ofmobile suits. One is the regular mobile suits, which the

students use for practice training, and the other is a ripped-offversion of the famous Strike Gundam. The look-a-likes are

equipped with major fire power. With two head vulcans, a

beam rifle, and two arm vulcans, these look-a-likes pose a

major threat.

Ichigo knows exactly what has to be done. As soon ashe informs his team of the plans, he sets the plan into motion.

The first step is to form ranks, Protector and DeathBringer in front with The Healer and Little Princess bringing

up the rear. The boys will attack physically, hand-to-hand,while the girls will use fire power to strike them down.

Ichigo removes the beam sword from his back and

Sasuke charges up the beam scythe. Nodoka starts firing herbeam rifle and Ku Fei is unloading rounds of her machine gun.

One by one, each enemy mobile suit falls without a challenge.Whos helping me? yells Train over the comm link.

Its us, yells Ichigo, wait, I gotta take care of this

guy. With a swing of the sword, the enemy mobile suit fallsinto two parts and explodes.

Nice one, Train says joyfully, but who are you?Oh come on, Ichigo sarcastically replies to Train.

You know us.No one I know pilots those mobile suits. Train hadnt

even seen the mobile suits before this battl
