The talmidim per- formed in front of parents, grandparents, sib- lings, aunts and uncles, in total an audience of well over 100 guests. The boys acted more mature and confident than their age, thanks to Rabbi Biller who kept repeating the con- cept of “talking with CLASS”, the acronym for “Clear, Loud And Super Slow”. The boys’ act- ing was incredible! The audience was astounded! They cheered and clapped on and on as they watched their (once…) little boys get up on stage and perform like professionals, full of confidence, maturity and pride. Countless hours were put into preparation for this moment, from writing the script, memorizing their lines, practicing with the boys to say their lines with CLASS (clear, loud and super slow), getting costumes, props, music etc. The talmidim’s benefits from the play are innumerable, but include self-confidence, public speaking, ma- turity, discipline, team work, getting along with fellow actors and more. As always, the parent body was extremely helpful with sponsoring and helping out with whatever and wherever necessary. Thank you to all parents and grandparents for placing greetings in the playbill booklet. Thank you to the Kirschners for sponsoring the lunch and drinks for our budding actors backstage! To all those who helped out with the sweet table for all the guests: Mrs. Fishman, Mrs. Mause, Mrs. Gottesman, Mrs. Stein, Mrs. Weisberg and Mrs. Monczyk. To all other parents for offering to help out in various ways. To Mr. Gilden for recording and editing the play profes- sionally so we’ll have long lasting memo- ries! And to the Perlman family for spon- soring a copy of the play’s video to be distributed to the talmidim. And of course a Thank you to Rabbi Biller. May Rebbe have the strength to continue to instill in his students the love for תורהand מצוותcombined with growing in good middos and self-confidence. MECHIRAS YOSEF MASTERPIECE What a great time was had by all! YDN's annual raffle campaign got off to a special start as the boys were treated to a trip to the "BUBBLE"! All the talmidim in grades 1-8 were taken to the HUGE indoor bubble at the Joseph T. St. Lawrence cen- ter in Hillburn where the boys got to gear up for an amazing time and enjoy their favorite sports games. A Peek into Upcoming YDN Events

Our talmidim were treated to a gala carnival this week, cele-

brating Adar and the upcoming yom tov of Purim. The eighth grade class outdid themselves in putting to-gether a spectacular treat for all ages. The prizes, popcorn, and fun time were the highlight of the week.

Our younger and older classes enjoyed the many fun-filled activities ranging from hockey shots to chocolate

chips in marshmallow fluff, to free-throw shooting to bowling. A very special thank you to our eighth grade, and

eighth grader rebbe, Rabbi Schuster, not only for arranging such a great day, but for working as

hard as they could to ensure

that all had a great time!

    ADAR BEGINS WITH A BANG!

Rabbi and Mrs. Brodie on the birth of a granddaughter to their children YDN alumnus Yehuda, and Huvy Brodie! Seventh grade teacher Mrs. Schiller on her daughters chasuna! Pre 1A talmid Dovid Elhyani on his new nephew! Sixth grader Dovid Haas on his Siyum on Seder Moed with his brother second grader Avi! Sixth grader Doni Kleiman on his sister’s en-gagement!

The Special Motzei Shabbos finally arrived!! And what a special event it proved to be!! Rabbi Lowy’s 4th graders behaved with great maturity and made a true Kiddush Hashem. They enjoyed a sumptuous melava malka with a beautifully decorated dining room in Rabbi Lowy’s home in Williamsburg. Live music, dancing, and a special prepared slide show featuring loads of pictures of all of them in ’דתה כ this year - made it a night to remember by all!! The bentching together so nice and loud was a nachas .At "departure" the boys were surprised with a personalized הרמהת עמש ש המרה gift and

a pekele to take along on the way. Thanks so much to Dr. Book for chaperoning, and the Fleicher family for their special help. Thanks to Daniel Pikus, Eli Fleicher, Tzvi schwab, Chanoch Book, and Eliezer Duvid Baldinger for sharing divrei Torah. The coach bus was also a ride to remember, thanks much to the Book family!
