Exhibition on Screen in HD THE IMPRESSIONISTS AND THE MAN WHO MADE THEMsun MAY 8 • 4 pm • LOEW AUDITORIUM

This groundbreaking series presents blockbuster art exhibitions—in high definition—with unparalleled, behind-the-scenes access and expert analysis.

With works from Paris, London and Philadelphia museums, this international exhibition is arguably the most comprehensive exploration of the Impressionists to date. It focuses on 19th-century Parisian collector Paul Durand-Ruel and his remarkable life is told along with that of the artists themselves including Monet, Degas, Cezanne, Renoir and Pissarro. Hood Senior Curator Kathy Hart introduces the show.

thu MAY 19 • 7 pm • SPAULDING AUDITORIUM

Celebrate the extraordinary musical talents of three graduating Dartmouth students. Each will select his or her own “senior feature” number for the Coast to perform.

WORLD MUSIC PERCUSSION ENSEMBLEwed MAY 25 • 7 pm • SPAULDING AUDITORIUM

The outrageously contagious dance music of West Africa is the focus of this concert, including pieces by Fela Ransom Kuti (Nigeria) and Cheikh Lo (Senegal)—as well as African American artists who compose with an African twist.

DARTMOUTH COLLEGE GLEE CLUBsun MAY 1 • 2 pm • ROLLINS CHAPEL

With its yearning melodies, rich sonority, Russian Orthodox text and rumble-of-the-earth basso profundo notes, Rachmaninoff’s 15-movement Vigil is both deeply Russian and universally loved.

DARTMOUTH DANCE ENSEMBLE

fri & sat MAY 27 & 28 • 8 pm • THE MOORE THEATER

Music and memory are the unifying themes for this program of original dances by this student/staff ensemble, set to songs by Philip Glass and American and European alt-rockers and electroacoustic composers.
