CERTIFICATE IN LEARNING ISLAM THROUGH
AL-QURAN (CLIQ)
ABOUT THE COURSE
CLIQ is a 2-years Islamic learning course that is based on a unique
approach in teaching Islam to adults. Each topic begins with a
relevant Quranic verse that students have to read together.
Discussions on the topic will involve the usual religious viewpoints
and also logical arguments / scientific rationale.
PREREQUISTES
1. Able to recite Al-Quran
2. 16 years and above
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction is English.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of course, students will be able to:
1. discuss the relevance of Islamic knowledge to the modern world
2. explain the logical and/or scientific justifications behind some of
the Islamic rulings and principals
3. identify the structure in Islamic learning
4. use the knowledge gained in their daily lives

WEEKEND MADRASAH
(Madrasah Mingguan)
ABOUT THE COURSE
Since 2010, our Weekend Madrasah has grown in strength with
better spiral syllabus suited for Singapore children. However, it still
retains the traditional approach of our Muslim scholars in learning
Islam through the five fundamental spheres of knowledge taught as
distinct subjects: Al-Quran, Tauhid, Fiqh, Akhlak and Seerah.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction is Malay although our teachers will
explain in English if students find certain concepts and terms difficult
to comprehend in Malay.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the 9 years study, students will be able to:
1. analyse and apply in their daily lives all the fundamentals of fiqh in
the domain of Ibadat
2. remember and comprehend all the discussions under Tauhid
3. demonstrate the Islamic behavior
4. understand the life story of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w
5. recite and memorise certain surahs in Al-Quran

ASSESSMENTS
Students will have to sit for exams at the end of every semester.
Passing percentage for each subject is 50%. Students need to have
overall pass (above 50%) for both semesters to be promoted.
Students who are not able come on exam dates with valid reasons
can take the exam on another date.
AWARDMENT OF CERTIFICATES AND RESULT SLIPS
Result Slips will be given to students who sit for the exams.
Graduation certificate will be awarded to students who have
completed Level 4.

Program Pengajian Islam dan Al-Quran
(PPIQ) – Full Time
ABOUT THE COURSE
PPIQ is catered for students who are unable or do not wish to
continue their studies at secondary level national school or full-time
madrasahs. With reduced study load and more focus on memorizing
Al-Quran activity without undue pressure, PPIQ creates a pleasant
learning experience for our students. Since its inception in 2012, the
drop-out rate is very low.
PREREQUISTES
1. Able to recite Al-Quran
2. Age 13 years and above
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction is Malay.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of 4 years study, students will be able to:
1. memorise at least eight juz of Al-Quran
2. understand Fiqh of Ibadat and Islamic Aqidah
3. demonstrate good Islamic behavior
4. outline the early history of Islam
5. memorise more than 100 short hadiths
6. understand the basics of Ulum Al-Quran
7. recite Al-Quran with proper Tajwid
8. acquire mastery of Malay language at O Level standard
9. able to grasp and engage in conversational English
10. apply basic mathematics in daily life

Modular subjects are taught for just 1 semester. Non-modular
subjects are taught for both semesters. Certain subjects are not
taught at Level 3 and Level 4 to give more time for students to
prepare for GCE O Level examinations for subjects Pengetahuan
Agama Islam (IRK) and Bahasa Melayu.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMS
Students are required to attend the daily tahfiz class during school
holiday. Leaves are accepted only with parent’s request.
ASSESSMENTS
Attendance: 10%
Class assessments: 10% for Tahfiz | 20% for other subjects
Exams: 80% for Tahfiz | 70% for other subjects
Passing percentage is 50%.
Students need to have overall pass (above 50%) for both semesters
to be promoted.

AWARDMENT OF CERTIFICATES AND RESULT SLIPS

ABOUT THE COURSE
PPI is a 2-years course with the overall objective of equipping
students with the appropriate and required level of Islamic
knowledge should they wish to sit for GCE O Level paper
“Pengetahuan Agama Islam (IRK)”.

(PPIL)
ABOUT THE COURSE
PPIL is a 2-years course for those who wish to study in depth about
Islam at college level. Course content follows closely GCE A Level
subjects of Syariah and Usuluddin.
PREREQUISTES
Students need to have a pass in or graduate from either of the
following:
1. Program Pengajian Islam dan Al-Quran (PPIQ)
2. Program Pendidikan Islam (PPI)
3. Sijil Pengajian Islam Pergas (SPI)
4. GCE O Level in Pengetahuan Agama Islam (IRK)
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction is Malay.

1. explain in depth Islamic belief system (Tauhid)
2. explain the different rulings in Islamic laws for marriage and

MODULES
1. Aqidah
This subject explores in depth the six tenets of Islam, their ancillary
issues and scholars’ classification of Tauhid into Uluhiyat,
Nubuwwat and Sam’iyat.
2. Fiqh Mu'amalat
This subject discusses the various theories and rulings in Islamic
Jurisprudence regarding legal and illegal financial transactions.
3. Fiqh Munakahat
This subject discusses the various theories and rulings in Islamic
Jurisprudence regarding marriage, divorce, custodial rights and
estate distribution after death.
4. Usul Fiqh
This subject explores the different principles and maxims of Islamic
Jurisprudence from which Islamic laws are derived.
5. Sejarah Perundangan Islam
This subject explores the history of codification of Islamic
Jurisprudence from the time of the Prophet s.a.w to formulation of
the Mejelle during the Ottoman Caliphate.
6. Tasauf
This subject gives insights on spirituality in Islam, cleansing the self
from undesirable traits, beautifying it desirable characters and the
world of sufism.
7. ‘Ulum Al-Quran
This subject introduces the students to the various discussion and
topics concerning Al-Quran.
8. ‘Ulum Hadith
This subject discusses the various classification of hadith.
9. Hadith 40 & Sahih Bukhari (selected hadiths)
This subject explores the meanings of and lessons derived from
selected hadith in Imam Nawawi’s 40 Hadith and Sahih Bukhari.

This subject explores the meanings of and lessons derived from
selected hadith surahs and verses of Al-Quran.

IRK PREPARATION CLASS
ABOUT THE COURSE
This is an intensive 9 months course to prepare students for GCE-O
Level Islamic Religious Knowledge (IRK) subject. Students will be
taught the techniques to answer the exam questions.
PREREQUISTES
Currently studying IRK or have studied the subject before and want
to sit for the IRK O-Level exam.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction is Malay.

3.00 – 5.00 pm on either every Monday or Thursday.

SOLAT CLINIC
ABOUT THE CLINIC
Solat Clinic is for those who wish to learn how to perform solat in
private with one-to-one coaching from the teacher. Only 1 student is
allowed in a session. Exceptions can be made for 2 students who
agree to attend the session together but must be of the same level.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction is English / Malay.
SESSION’S DURATION
The duration for each session is 1 hour.
CLINIC TIME
New students will be informed of available time for first consultation.
LEVELS
There are three levels for this coaching. Students may start from any
level depending on the student’s current proficiency level in
performing solat.
Level 1 : Basic. This level gives the students the minimum knowledge
required to perform solat. Memorization of readings in solat is kept
to what is compulsory only.
Level 2 : Intermediate. This level enhances the students movements
and recitations during solat to cover the recommended (sunnah).

Level 3 : Advance. This level coaches the student to perform solat in
congregation both as imam and ma’mum.

ASSESSMENTS
The teacher will assess if the student is ready to proceed to the
higher level from practical observations of the student’s solat.

ABOUT THE CLASS
Huffaz Kidz is a tahfiz class catered to children 7–10 years old. They
start memorizing from the last juz of Al-Qur’an (Juz 30).
PREREQUISTES
1. Minimum age 7 years. Children below 7 can be considered on
case to case basis.
2. Able to recite Al-Quran
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction is English / Malay.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the program, students will be able to:
1. memorize the whole of Juz 30 of Al-Quran
2. recite the memorized surahs with relative fluency

ASSESSMENTS
Students’ memorization will be assessed internally at four different
tahfiz-critical-points. Once the student is deemed to be sufficiently
ready, the teacher will recommend him/her to the free monthly
tahfiz test.
AWARDMENT OF CERTIFICATES
Students who pass the monthly tahfiz test will be awarded with
Result Slip. Students can purchase Darul Huffaz’s Report Book to
keep their result slips.
FURTHER STUDIES
Children who have reached 12 years of age will be promoted to
normal tahfiz class (Weekend Tahfiz / Night Tahfiz).

Night Tahfiz is a weekly tahfiz class conducted at night for those who
are unable to attend tahfiz class on weekends. Students will start
with Juz 30. Students can start from other Juz with teacher’s
permission.

Able to recite Al-Quran.

The medium of instruction is English / Malay.

DAILY TAHFIZ
ABOUT THE CLASS
Daily Tahfiz is an intensive daily tahfiz class which gives students
plenty of opportunity to memorise the whole of Al-Quran. Students
typically start memorizing from surah al-Baqarah. Students can start
from other surahs with teacher’s permission.
PREREQUISTES
1. Able to recite Al-Quran.
2. No minimum and maximum age limit
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction is English / Malay.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the program, students will be able to memorise the
whole of Al-Quran fluently.
DAY AND TIME
Monday – Friday
Female class: 9 am – 12 pm | Male class: 2.30 – 5.30 pm
INTAKE
Intake is open throughout the year. Students can join the class
anytime.
FLEXIBILITY
Students who wish to take a temporary break from the class are
allowed to do so and they can then continue from where they stop
once they return back to class.

ASSESSMENTS
Tahfiz test will be progressive for every Juz, every 5 Juz, every 10 Juz,
every 15 Juz and finally the whole of Al-Quran. This test is optional.
Test date is the last Sunday of every month.
AWARDMENT OF CERTIFICATES
Students who pass the monthly tahfiz exam will be awarded with
Result Slip. Students can purchase Darul Huffaz’s Report Book to
keep their result slips. Students who have completed memorization
of all 30 Juz will be awarded a tahfiz certificate.
FEES
Monthly fee : $100 | Material fee : $8
For those who wish to join the class only for several days in a week,
the fee’s structure is as follow:
4x per week : $90 / month
3x per week : $80 / month
2x per week : $70 / month
1x per week : $60 / month

LEARNING QURAN FOR CHILDREN
ABOUT THE CLASS
This class offers children the opportunity to learn how to recite Al-
Quran through Darul Huffaz’s technique.
PREREQUISTES
Age 5 and above. Toddlers below 5 years can be accepted on case to
case basis.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction is English/Malay.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the program, students will be able to read Al-Quran
quite fluently.
LEVELS
There are 2 levels for this program:
Level 1 : Quranic letters and words
Level 2 : Phrases and sentences
DURATION
1 hour per session. There are 12 sessions for each level.
CLASS SIZE
Class size is between 5 to 8 students.

LEARNING QURAN FOR ADULTS
ABOUT THE CLASS
This class offers the working adult flexibility to learn how to recite Al-
Quran properly through several time slots.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction is English / Malay.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the program, students will be able to read Al-Quran
quite fluently.
LEVELS
There are 2 levels for this program:
Level 1 : Quranic letters and words
Level 2 : Phrases and sentences

Class size is between 4 to 6 students.

AL-QURAN CLINIC
ABOUT THE CLINIC
Al-Quran Clinic is for those who cannot afford to attend Learning
Quran classes. Students will get a personalised one-to-one coaching
with complete flexibility of starting point, progress rate and date and
time of consultation, subject to teacher’s availability.
This Clinic is also for students who wish to do just talaqqi and finish
khatam Al-Quran with the riwayah of Haf’s from ‘Asim.
TEACHERS
All our Clinic teachers are hafiz/hafizah (memorizers of Al-Quran).
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction is English / Malay.
SESSION’S DURATION
The duration for each session is 20 minutes. Students are allowed to
take two sessions consecutively subject to teacher’s availabity.
CLINIC TIME
New students will be informed of available time for first
consultation.
FLEXIBILITY
Students are not obliged to attend the clinic’s sessions regularly.
ASSESSMENTS
There is no assessment for this program.

with the certificate Khatam Tilawah.

Consultation fee : $5 / session
Upon registration, payment is $50 (registration fee+coupon booklet).

ADVANCE RECITATION
(TALAQQI BERSANAD)
ABOUT THE CLASS
This class offers students the opportunity to recite Al-Quran with
certain qira’at from hafiz teachers who have sanad on different
qira’at.
PREREQUISTES
1. Proficieny in reciting Al-Quran
2. Age 12 years and above
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction is English / Malay.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the program, students will have read the whole of Al-
Quran in the qira’at they have chosen.
DAY AND TIME
Individual session with female teacher:
Day and time will be determined only upon registration
Group session with male teacher:
Three Saturdays of every month. Time will be informed upon
registration.
INTAKE
Intake is open throughout the year subject to availability of vacant
slots.
