- Lift the wiper stalk towards the steering wheel for a continuous spray of washer fluid (front windshield)- Rotate the outer switch on the wiper stalk counter clockwise for a continuous spray of washer fluid (rear windhield)- Auto wipe works based on the input from Rain Light Sensor (RLS) on the windshield.

DRIVING DURING RUNNING-IN PERIOD

CRUISE CONTROL @

NOTICE

Drive smoothly for the first 1000 kms. Use the accelerator and brake

gradually.

This will help to prevent premature failures & abnormal system wear while

improving the life of drivetrain & vehicle components.To know more about warning & telltale lamps, you can

also download the handy “Mahindra XUV500” app

from Google playstore or Appstore.

Cruise control allows you to maintain a set speed without the need to keep your

foot on the accelerator pedal.

To activate - Drive the vehicle to the desired Cruising speed (any value

greater

than 20 kmph, press the SET+ button.

To deactivate - Press the CRUISE OFF button in the steering wheel, or

Press the brake pedal.

SET + button - activate Cruise Control and also to increase the Cruise Set

speed.

SET - button - decrease the Cruise Set speed in small amounts

POWER WINDOWS INTERIOR LAMPS

ELECTRIC ORVM’S @

REVERSE PARKING ASSISTANCE SYSTEM (RPAS) @

Intellipark Reverse Assist System is a system which aids the driver while revers-

ing the vehicle at a speed less than 5 kmph.

RPAS will be activated automatically when reverse gear is engaged and

deactivate when reverse gear is disengaged.

Display bars 1, 2, 3 and 4 indicate how close the obstacle is from the vehicle

rear bumper, with bar 1 being very close and bar 4 being distant.

Distance indicator will display a STOP symbol if the obstacle is less than 50 cm

from the vehicle rear bumper.

A beep sound can be heard from driver side speaker while reversing. Frequency

of the beep increases as the obstacle comes closer (crossing each zones) and

the beep will be continuous if any of the obstacles are less than 50 cm from the

sensor.

FUELING

Press the fuel lid switch (adjacent to

the headlamp leveling switch) on the

instrument panel driver side.

Turn the fuel cap counter-clockwise

to open. Refuel and put the cap back

in its place and tighten in the

clockwise direction till three distinct

clicks are heard. Close the fuel lid

shut.

In the unlikely event of remote switch

not opening the fuel lid, a mechanical

over ride release is provided. It is

located in the luggage compartment

LH trim area behind the third row

seats.

Turn the knob anti-clockwise to open

the fuel lid.

Stop/Start system automatically

“stops” and “starts” the engine when

idle at signals or long traffic jams.

This in turn gives a better fuel

efficiency.

Below is the overview of the

Stop/Start system.

The tool kit is located behind the

third row seats on the floor.

The warning triangle is located on

the rear door trim below the

camping lamp.

Loosen the securing nut counter clockwise to winch down/lower the secured

spare wheel to the ground.
