Swati Kumari of class IX B got Ist position in Sikh Chetna Mission Exam and received a cheque of 11,000/-, trophy and a certificate from Sikh Chetna Mission under Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee.

Rishabh of Class VIII A got Ist Position in Zonal English Poem Recitation Competition. Around 35 schools participated in this event.

In Zonal Hindi Poem Recitation from the Middle Wing Anurag Singh of class VI C secured IIIrd position .There were around 30 entries for the competition.

In Zonal Hindi Poem Recitation from the Senior Wing Aadarsh XI C got IIIrd position. Around 30 schools participated for this event.

In Zonal Hindi Extempore from the Senior Wing Pranjul Tyagi XII E got IInd position . Around 40 schools participated in this event.

Sikh Chetna Mission Exam was conducted in Dec 2017. Swati Kumari of class IX B got Ist position and received a cheque of 11,000/- ,trophy and a certificate from Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee which was given to her on the martyrdom day of Guru Arjan Dev Ji at Gurdwara Rakaab Ganj Sahib on 17 June 2018.

Mango is the King of

Fruits

Perfect day to celebrate the season with the king of fruits “Mango” through a fun filled learning opportunity in the form of a “Mango Festival”. Children shared mango products like frooti , jam , aam papad , mango bite etc with their peers. Finger painting on mango cut-outs kept the tiny tots engaged and excited.

To make the Tiny Tots aware of the importance of trees , an activity

of Tree Plantation was organized.

The children participated enthusiastically in tree plantation drive. A wide variety of saplings were planted by them. The Vice Principal of the school encouraged the students to preserve trees as they play a vital role in maintaining the ecological balance.

“Doctor’s Day Celebration” activity

was organized for Pre Primary students on 6th July 2018. Children were dressed up as doctors and nurses. Through this activity children expressed their gratitude to the ‘Doctors’ for their selfless service they provide to to people. The kids prepared first aid boxes and acted the role of a doctor. They understood how doctors help people to stay healthy and cure them when they are sick. It was a funfilled and learning activity.

Science day was organized to promote active involvement of students and teachers in day to day science activities. The activities related to science are expected to stimulate the pursuit of scientific knowledge, encourage the student’s potential to express their scientific ideas.

Keeping in view the benefits of reading, an activity of Newspaper reading was organized for Primary wing on 6th July 2018. Reading newspaper is a good habit that can provide a great sense of educational value. Through this activity students were encouraged to develop the habit of reading so that their general information, reading skills and vocabulary are enhanced.

workshops were designed for the students.

During the House activity English Debate Competition for class 6th to 8th was organized on 6th July 2018.The topic of the

debate was “Social Networking Sites – Boon or Bane”. All the students

enthusiastically participated in it. Participating in debates has many benefits for students. They learn the ability to express themselves verbally in front of a group, which builds their confidence. The student audience (VI-VIII) was encouraged to participate in future competitions.

Hindi Debate Competition was conducted for the students of class VI –VIII on 13th July 2018. The topic for the debate was “ Mahanagriya Jeevan Vardaan ya Abhishaap.” Two participants from each house voiced their opinions convincingly one for the motion and the other against the motion. All the students attentively listened to the debate. The enormous effort that participants put forth to succeed in this exciting activity was truly inspiring.

An activity “Digital India” was conducted by Primary wing on 13th July 2018.Through this activity students were given knowledge of all the services available to citizens electronically. Classes 1st to 5th presented their ideas through innovative techniques. Students of Class 1 made different models of digital devices like cellphones , ATM ,tablets etc, Class 2 designed logos of Digital India , Class 3 wrote meaningful quotes on digital India, Class 4th showed their creativity through posters and Class 5 had slogan writing. This activity was a learning experience for the students which they immensely enjoyed.

English & Hindi poetry Recitation competition for class VI to VIII was conducted on

20th July 2018. The objective of this competition was to develop students recitation skills, confidence and to make them to learn voice modulation. The other students listened and applauded the participants. Students were inspired to participate in future competitions.

Rishabh’s enthusiasm for poetry and dedication to express the poem’s powerful meaning got him 1st position in the zonal. With his dynamic performance he won the heart of judges.

In Hindi Poem Recitation and Hindi Extempore from the middle wing Anurag Singh VI C secured IIIrd position and in Hindi Poem Recitation from Senior wing Aadarsh XI C got IIIrd position.

Zonal Competitions for the academic session (2018-19) will continue till Oct-Nov 2018 and students will participate in many other competitions.

Bubbling with excitement and enthusiasm,

children thoroughly enjoyed playing with

floating toys and splashing water at their

friends to welcome the monsoon season.

To celebrate the first showers of Monsoon the

pre-primary students came all armed in their

raincoats and umbrellas to Splish and Splash in

the rain.
