Data Access Framework All Hands Community
Meeting June 25, 2014
Meeting Etiquette• Remember: If you are not speaking, keep your
phone on mute• Do not put your phone on hold – if you need to
take a call, hang up and dial in again when finished with your other call– Hold = Elevator Music = very frustrated speakers and
participants
• This meeting, like all of our meeting is being recorded– Another reason to keep your phone on mute when not
speaking
• Feel free to use the “Chat” feature for questions, comments or any items you would like the moderator or participants to know.
NOTE: This meeting is being recorded and will be posted on the DAF Wikipage, under
“Materials” “Past Meetings”

HQMF Applicability• HQMF standard is a document oriented standard, created based on needs of Clinical Quality Measures.
– HQMF v2 based on RIM and is very powerful in it ‘s ability to construct queries of various forms and complexities as proven by CQM’s.
– Creation of a Query entails creating a Document and then creating various CQM specific data elements in order to use it for DAF’s current queries and query results.
– HQMF is only a Query standard and does not support query results, typically QRDA Cat I and III documents are used.
– HQMF is not completely machine processable as it is currently if all features of the standard is used.
– Discussion: Potentially drop HQMF v2 from consideration for DAF, however it could be used by other initiatives. Communities can use the rest of the DAF Query Stack and use HQMFv2 as the Query standard for applicable use cases.
