MarketView® Data Integration Solutions
Web Service
A lightweight and highly scalable service that
provides on-demand access to tick, intra-day,
and historical data, news and price corrections
all delivered through a RESTful web service API.
Access global commodity data in XML, HTML,
CSV, TSV, JSON and SOAP formats using either a
POST or GET request.
.NET
A robust LINQ-based SDK developed on the .NET
4.6 framework which supports both snapshot and
streaming query types. Make RESTful queries
on-demand or leverage our publish-subscribe
model to maintain a persistent connection to our
data centers for real-time tick by tick updates.
Develop your own UI for the front or middle
office leveraging any of the .NET programming
languages or use the SDK as a raw data feed to
power risk management or back office systems.
Extract
Data Extract is an automated data delivery
service that provides a convenient and reliable
delivery mechanism for a variety of data including
exchange, broker, and benchmark pricing.
Customers select the data they need, the format
they need it in, and the time they want it delivered,
and Data Extract will do the rest. Data Extract can
run post close or on an intra-day basis and delivers
the data to you in a structured file format via FTP.
Xchange
Harness the power of MarketView Xchange via
ExcelTools and greatly reduce your organization’s
proprietary data distribution efforts and
provide greater downstream analytics for your
consumer base. With Xchange’s easy to use Excel
interface, users can quickly update and share
proprietary data with other users in real-time
virtually eliminating the need to update and
email spreadsheets to distribution groups or save
spreadsheets and data to a specific location for
others to consume.
Proprietary Data Hub
The MarketView Proprietary Data Hub (PDH)
allows companies to store, manage, integrate and
distribute highly sensitive customer proprietary
data from your own environment while leveraging
in parallel the benefits of MarketView’s SaaS-
based architecture for exchange, price reporting
agency, broker, and public commodity market
information. The PDH acts as a proxy and routes
all requests for customer proprietary data to the
PDH, while dynamically redirecting all queries for
traditional data from sources such as ICE, Nymex,
Platts, Argus and others to the GlobalView
datacenters. Clients of the PDH may utilize in-line
formulas and user-defined formulas to easily
blend customer proprietary data with traditional
exchange data in all MarketView front, middle, and
back-office products and services.
R
The R SDK allows R statistical computing
application users to query and analyze
MarketView’s data directly within the R interface.
R provides a wide variety of statistical (linear and
nonlinear modelling, classical statistical tests,
time-series analysis, classification, clustering) and
graphical techniques – and it’s highly extensible.
MATLAB®
Integrate GlobalView’s comprehensive real-
time and historical data catalog with the
power of MATLAB to perform deep statistical
analysis, create custom graphics, and run data
simulations. MATLAB users can directly access

any of the numerous commodity market data
sources available in MarketView for analysis and
manipulation, including customer proprietary
data. The combination of high quality data in
MarketView and the power of MATLAB provides
a powerful and flexible platform for computational
methods such as curve building, back-testing,
Monte Carlo simulation, and risk management.
CurveBuilder
Traders, analysts and risk managers can easily
develop, test and automate the generation of
simple or complex curves using an Excel like
interface, without the aid of a specialist. Leverage
CurveBuilder’s straight-through processing
capabilities to schedule, validate and push curves
downstream to a C/ETRM platform or to other
users on the enterprise-wide network. Develop
curves privately in a sandbox or choose from an
extensive library of publicly accessible curves
from providers such as Platts, Argus, CME and
ICE. Adjust curves using industry standard roll
rules or develop unique rules using CurveBuilder’s
function library. CurveBuilder’s built-in auditing
capabilities provide total transparency and
version control.
MarketScript®
A flexible proprietary scripting language for
manipulating time series data. Develop simple
spreads or custom formulas spanning multiple
lines of code. Save any MarketScript as a User
Defined Formula which can be shared with other
members of your team.
Python
Leverage the power and flexibility of Python to
retrieve and analyze quote and time-series data
from over 350 distinct global sources. Query
intra-day, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly data
and manipulate data in a variety of ways including
filling forwards and backwards, rolling, merging
and more. Convert units of measure, underlying
currency and currency source for any instrument.
VBA
Seamlessly retrieve quote and historical data with
Visual Basic for Automation (VBA). Query intra-
day, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly
data for a specific date range or a number of days
back. Change an underlying unit of measure or
currency and currency source for any instrument.
Choose from over 75 fields for quote and time-
series display and use macros to schedule the
execution of your tasks at a specific date and time
to automatically generate a desirable output.
