As part of the RRCE Family, RRCE-T is based on a Hardware/Software platform that provides a common interface to controllers from different manufacturers. SYSTEM COMPONENTS

RRCE-T - Provides the interface to/from the reefer to the system. The RRCE-T is permanently installed in the reefer rack and pro-vides the interface via the reefer data-port. The RRCE-T automati-cally detects the reefer type and accesses the information available withinspecificreefertypes.

J-Box - Provides the junction between the reefer download cable and the RRCE-T. The J-Box also provides protection as well as storage for the data cable.

Reefer Download Cable - connects directly to the reefer’s da-ta-port. The Reefer Download Cable also contains a fuse break-away in the case of a drive-off, preventing the loss of the entire cable or damage to the J-Box.

NETWORK

• Each RRCE requires an IP address. Each WiFi module requires an additional IP address. Every address must be assigned using DHCP (preferably).• Each RRCE box requires DNS entry. This can be achieved dynamically through the DHCP server.• The software is comprised of modules: PCOMM, data-base, the web server and clients. These can all be installed on the same PC or in different PC’s.• PCOMM must have access at network level to the RRCE boxes, to the data-base and the web server.• The web server must have access to the data-base.• The clients must have access to the web server.• At least one of the clients must have Internet access to be able to receive updates.
