David Bowie Oracle Cards
It’s only a game…. Or is it?
This is Deck 3 of the David Bowie Oracle Cards.
Print this PDF document double-sided. Preferably, on card-stock
matte-finish paper. Be sure to specify that it flip “on the short side” so
that the cards will line up correctly. To save paper, you might specify
that it print pages 3-38, but it will work either way.
Carefully cut out the 108 cards of this first deck, which is derived from
David Bowie’s album: Hunky Dory
To get into the right state of mind, you might begin by listening to the
first and title track of Blackstar on vinyl in total darkness while
contemplating its meaning. Then, light a solitary candle at the center
of the room or circle. If the candle is atop an exact replica of the
Major Tom skull from the video, even better. Look into its eyes, and
ask him your question.
Arrange all the decks you have neatly about you in a circle or semi-
circle. Shuffle the small deck of Key Cards and draw one to determine
which deck your answer will come from. Find that specific deck,
shuffle it, and draw one to determine which deck your answer will
come from. Find that specific deck, shuffle it, and draw one card.
There is your answer. Please note that David Bowie can be a bit abstract. He is an artist,
after all. It might take a little bit of abstract thinking, and intuition, to
deduce the meaning behind his response. Although, sometimes it will
ring as clear as a bell.
Please keep an eye on The Official David Bowie Oracle Cards Page, as I
will post links to the decks there as I create them, as well as the Key
Cards.
