The Taylor Made Blues Band brings together four talented and respected blues artists whose love of and talent for the blues is infectious. The band was formed when singer “Michissippi” Mick Kolassa decided to start touring on a regular basis. Joined by David Dunavent on lead guitar and backing vocals, John Allouise on bass and vocals and Joe Eagle on drums, the quartet delivers rock solid blues in a show that keeps audiences coming back. Playing a combination of Mick’s original songs, cherished blues classics and some surprising blues “uncovers” of songs not traditionally thought of as blues, the Taylor Made Blues Band keeps audiences enthralled by fitting the set to the fans to assure their enjoyment of the show. They are lively and animated in their performances, demanding the attention of the audience and assuring that the fans enjoy themselves. Mick Kolassa handles lead vocals and backup guitar for the band. Mick’s performances can include all styles of blues, and his vocals adapt to those differences as he croons or growls to fit the song. Mick has been performing for decades. David Dunavent plays lead guitar and adds his own powerful vocals to the mix. David has had a long career as a blues artist in Mississippi. A frequent performer in Clarksdale and Indianola, David’s band Evol-Love opened BB King’s final homecoming show and the memorial homecoming shows since his passing. He has performed at numerous festivals and venues in Mississippi, honing his blues chops. When not playing with the Taylor Made Blues Band David leads his own group, Evol Love. John Allouise : Fender Bass Guitar and Vocals. John is a longtime veteran of the Boston and NYC music scenes currently residing in Taylor MS. Since relocating to MS, John has played extensively with Watermelon Slim, Shannon McNally and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram as well as playing with many other bands in the Clarksdale/Memphis area. In addition to playing with the Taylor Made Blues Band, John is also an active member of Watermelon Slim and The Truckers and David Dunavent’s Evol Love . Joe Eagle, drummer extraordinaire, is a talented musician who has played with many amazing artists, including Little Milton, Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Jack Bruce.
