Dawn Dishwashing soap
has otheruses?
Dawn is not just for dishes
anymore!
Awesome Bubble solution
1/2 cup Ultra Dawn1/2 gallon warm water
~1 tablespoon glycerin (available at any drugstore) OR White Karo syrup works too!~Stir gently.~Skim the foam off the top of the solution (too much foam breaks down the bubbles).~Dip bubble wand and get ready for some good, clean fun!
*note - the best water to use is soft waterbut to keep on the safe side use distilled water
Barbecue CleanerMix together:1/2 cup Dawn Dish soap1 gallon water~ Place the grease coated barbecue grill inside a heavy duty plastic trash bag.~ Pour the soapy solution of the rack inside the bag~ Seal the bag shut and let sit overnightNext Day:~ Scrub the rack with a stiff or wire brush and rinse clean
Kill Fleas in carpetingIn a 16 oz spray bottle:~ pour 1 tablespoon Dawn dish soap in to the bottle and fill the rest with water.~Shake well and spray the carpet, upholstery and floors*The soap will dry up the insects killing them (almost instantly)~ Let the solutions sit for 15 minutes~ Wipe the floors with a damp towel~Vacuum the Carpet
Ice Pack
Partially fill a strong zip-type sandwich bag with Dawn dish soap , close and freeze. The liquid soap stays cold much longer and it can be refrozen many times. It will conform to the place you need an ice pack.
Dawn Dish Soap Stain cleaner
Mix: 2 teaspoons Dawn dish soap2 teaspoons vinegar2 quarts warm waterUse this solution to wash food stains from clothes.*always test on a small area of clothingfirst
Ants be gone!
Getting rid of ants is easy with Dawn Dish Soap. Spray a mixture of water and Dawn directly onto counter tops, floors, sinks, or wherever the ants seem to be. This will leave behind a residue that ants refuse to walk across. It is also safe for kids and pets, so you don’t have to worry about any harsh chemicals. If you spray the solution directly on an ant, Dawn will penetrate their exoskeleton and kill them on contact. This also works for wasps and cockroaches.I wonder if this would work on spiders? hmm
Pet Stains
Mix:1 cup vinegar1 tablespoon Dawn dish soap use a foam making hand cleaner bottle ( can be found in dollar stores)Pump the foam mixer over the stain and leave it in placeCome back later to repeat if the stain is not goneUse paper towels to blot up part of the stain in between treatments as neededRepeat until stain is gone. Why does this work? The enzymes in the Dawn helps to break down the stain and pheromones in the spot.
Control those Weeds
Mix:1 Gallon white vinegar2 cups multi purpose epsom salt1/4 cup regular blue dawn dish soap
Put into gallon sprayer, if you don't have a sprayer, use anything that will spray out liquid, Saturate weeds.
Use every couple weeks to control weeds

~ mix slowly then add to machine as manufacturer directions.
..and one last amazing DIY hack where only Dawn Dishwashing soap can be used!
I don't know WHY I didn't figure this outsooner!I use shampoo in the shower! When I wash my hair, the shampoo runs down my whole body and printed very clearly on the shampoo label is:"FOR EXTRA BODY and VOLUME"
No Wonder I have been gaining weight!!
Well I have gotten rid of that shampoo and Iam going to start showering with Dawn Dish soap instead - the label reads
"DISSOLVES FAT THAT IS OTHERWISE
DIFFICULT TO REMOVE"
Thank you for taking the time to read this presentation and even though it may have come across as a commercial or advertisement this was not the intent.
I will say that I am impressed with Proctor and Gamble who makes this product because what they are doing to help the wildlife needs to be saluted.. I am sure the animals that have been saved have said thank you in their own way also!
