The St. Albert and District Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with CITSLINC International Inc., invites you to participate in a ten-day, eight night trip to China. This year’s departure date from Seattle is March 29th, 2014 returning on April 7th, 2014.

Gaze at the Great Wall of China, snaking through the mountains; marvel at the colossal Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square; stand in awe at the giant carved Buddha in Hangzhou; walk amongst the towering, futuristic skyscrapers of Shanghai; and enjoy the great hospitality from our Chinese hosts.

The Chamber can provide you with an application form.

Day 1 - Vancouver/Shanghai/Beijing - Your adventure begins as you depart to Shanghai.Day 2 - Shanghai/Beijing - Transfer to Beijing, meet your local tour guide and check into hotel.Day 3 - Beijing - Visit the 2008 Beijing Olympic venues, before touring the Great Wall of China, a jade factory and the Ming tombs. Enjoy a Peking roast duck dinner at night.Day 4 - Beijing - Visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City before touring the Temple of Heaven, the pearl market, Summer Palace, Kunming Lake and more.Day 5 - Bejing/Shanghai/Suzhou - Morning flight to Shanghai, then bus to Suzhou. Afternoon sightseeing to Tiger Hill, Suzhou Industrial Park and dinner with Suzhou Municipal Government.Day 6 - Suzhou/Hangzhou - Morning visit to Suzhou silk factory, tour of Lingering Garden, National Embroidery Institute and dinner in Hangzhou.Day 7 - Hangzhou/Shanghai - Morning boat cruise on West Lake with stopover at pagodas. Day 1 03/29 Seattle/Beijing - Check in at SeattleInternational Airport for an Afternoon flightHU496 by 2:00pm to Beijing. Your Adventurebegins as you fly trans-Pacific aboard a widecabin jetliner. Cross the international Dateline. Day 2 03/30 Beijing - King Wing Hotel/5-Star,17 Dongsanhuan Rd. S. Arrive in Beijing, the Capital of China at 4:35pm. You will be met byyour local tour guide at the airport. Transfer tothe hotel.Day 3 03/31 Beijing - Visit the TiananmenSquare, the largest square in the world. Sightseeingalso includes the Palace Museum, also known asthe Forbidden City, home of 24 emperors with atotal space of 9,999 rooms, and the Summer Palace,known for features such as the Long Corridor,Kunming Lake, Longevity Hill, the Marble Boat,and the Seventeen-Arch Bridge. Day 4 04/01 Beijing - Tour bus excursion to theGreat Wall, the 4,000 mile long and 2,000 year-oldconstruction, said to be the only man-madestructure visible from space. Visit the Ming Tombs,1 of 13 Ming Emperor's tombs which has beenexcavated for exploration. Roasted PekingDuck Dinner. Day 5 04/02 - Beijing - Visit Lama Temple and theTemple of Heaven, built in 1420 A.D., where theemperors prayed to the heavens for a good harvest.

Evening Dinner Show of Traditional Chinese Music. Day 7 04/04 - Suzhou/Hangzhou - Regal Hotel, 5-Star, 370 Gym Rd. Morning tour bus journey toEconomic Development Zone. Visit the centuries-old Lingyin Temple, featuring a 65-footcamphor-wood carved Buddha. Day 8 04/05 - Hanzhou/Shanghai - GuangdongHotel/5-Star, 328 Yixian Rd. Morning boat cruiseon West Lake with relaxing stopover at jewel-likepagodas and tea houses. Afternoon bus trip to Shanghai. Day 9 04/06 - Shanghai - Sightseeing includes the Yu Garden, a maze of marvelous pavillions, ponds,rocky works and over-arching trees. Visit the Bund, a famous waterfront park. Business visit to the Pudong economic development zone.
