The following pages will reflect my journey with Z.E.N. Foods

I purchased a 7 day weight loss plan at a huge discount from a 1 day internet deal.

I told the representative at Z.E.N. that I didn’t want red meat, bleu cheese or eggplant in any of the meals. He said I should lose 5 pounds this week. Let’s see how this all works out…

My One Week Journey with Z.E.N. foods

I received my food the night before in ice packs. I put everything in the

refrigerator ready for the next day. I could really get used to this!

BREAKFAST

Strawberry Crepes

(Not the greatest presentation on a plate. My microwave is still at the service shop, so, toaster oven to the rescue! But WHO CARES how it looks? After one bite, it melted in my mouth. Num num!! )

LUNCH

Grilled Chicken Salad on Spinach with Grapefruit, Pistachios and Honey Yogurt Vinaigrette

(My menu card said it had apples and oranges in the salad, but the only fruit in it was grapefruit. All in all, it was a very filling salad. Best part, I was in a real hurry today trying to be everywhere at once. I would have

never had enough time to put something like this together.)

SNACK

Quinoa with Roasted Beets and Chive Vinaigrette

( I never did eat this. I forgot to tell Z.E.N. that I can’t stomach beets. But, it looks rather appetizing for someone who DOES like beets. I ate 3 artichoke hearts out of the refrigerator instead!)

DINNER

Turkey Scallopine with Tomatoes and Capers with Whole Wheat Orzo and Sweet Corn

(The capers made all the difference with this meal. The turkey was ok…it just had a bit of fat on it that I didn’t like chewing. All in all, delectable!)

DESSERT

Black Bottom Banana Crème Pie

(This was a very small dessert, but, it packed a big punch on my taste buds! “Please, Sir, may I have some more?” Tee hee, just kidding. It was enough knowing that if I had a huge serving of this, I would have put back

on the 3 pounds that I lost this past week. My taste buds are happy!)

I am a Realtor in Altadena / Pasadena, California. As my schedule constantly changes on a daily basis, it’s difficult to shop and plan meals. I decided to give Z.E.N. a try to see if I could be more focused mentally and feed my body something nutritious for a change while on the go meeting with clients and fitting in dance classes at the gym.
