TTFF’s wish is for kids who attend camp to check their worries at the door, make new friends and feel included in every activity. When they leave, our dream is that they take with them joy, love, hope , memories and friendship! With your donations and support the children we serve are able to:★ Gain independence as they take a “Leap of Faith” off

the ropes course

★ Process their feelings as they remember a lost loved one at the Chalk Garden

★ Build self-confidence and show off their artistic skills at the campfire amphitheater

★ Explore nature and pick vegetables from the organic garden

★ Discover new opportunities like riding a horse for the first time

★ Just be a kid and make memories and friends that will last a lifetime!

“Seeing people accomplish activities at the ropes course that they never thought they could do.”

–Alyssa, 12, Hand Differences

“It means going to see my 2nd family. Being around people who love me & people I love. Giving hugs, being goofy. Forgetting all my worries, playing games having fun, laughing and wishing it was forever.”

–Rokia, 12, HIV/AIDS

“It is a place where I can be with other people like me and learn how to do things I didn’t think I could do.”

–Charlie, 13, Hand Differences

“...the opportunity of finding a place where the family can take some time away.”

–Jesse Davis, 8, Hemophilia

“...Seeing people that know what you’re going through.”–Chase, 14, Brain Tumor

“My favorite thing about camp is that we all have similarities and we are like family.”

–Jahnna, 13, Asthma

What does The Taylor Family Foundation and camp mean to me?

Barry and Elaine supported clinical and social programs, holiday

events, summer field trips, and activity days

for children in the hospitals.

Elaine and Barry decided to build a camp so that all children could

experience a safe and nurturing haven.

Eventually they discovered a wonderful

138 acre property in the Livermore foothills owned by the East Bay Regional

Parks District and raised $6 million to help build Camp Arroyo.

Barry and Elaine Taylor held backyard fundraisers

to benefit the approximate 1,000 Northern California children living with

HIV/ AIDS.

Since its foun ding, TTFF has helped

more than 45,000 children and

80,000 parents by providing respite and unique camp opportunities free of charge.

Elaine and Barry decided to open TTFF’s Mission

to serve children with chronic and life threatening illnesses, developmental

disabilities, and youth-at-risk.

When Camp Arroyo opened in 2000, the total population of

HIV/ AIDS infected children in the

region had been reduced to less than

300.

Sophie’s Place, TTFF’s mobile music

therapy program in partnership with Wells Fargo and the Forever Young Foundation,

brings music therapy to camp and those who are homebound or patients in Northern

California hospitals.

As the pediatric AIDS

epidemic became more manageable,

TTFF began supporting additional

needs of the children,specifically

summer camp.

Today our foundation family is made up of approximately 47

organizations including 27 non-profits that we partner with for camp. We provide 4 wellness programs: camp, music therapy, equestrian

and pet therapy.
