Winter 2019 to Summer 2020 Richmond & Kiplin Hall Saturday 6 th June 2020 Our morning call is to the market town of Richmond with time to enjoy this pleasant place. In the afternoon we visit Kiplin Hall, an unusual Jacobean building originally constructed for George Calvert, founder of the state of Maryland, USA, and has over the centuries belonged to four fascinating families all connected by blood or marriage. North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Whitby Fish & Ships Festival Saturday 16 th May 2020 We travel to Pickering to join the North York Moors Railway for the scenic ride by steam train to Whitby, which will be celebrating this historic port’s maritime heritage with its second “Fish & Ships Festival”. Events range from street entertainment, to cookery demonstrations by celebrity chefs, supported by local fishing heroes there is something for everyone here.
