It is clearly visualized that the F90-room is fully destroyed, whereas GranITe shows only slight damages outside and the IT inside is still operating!
DC-ITRoom GranITe offers unique security regarding explosion protection.
To prove this as a scientific fact, RZproducts has become the first company in the world to have a security room tested acc. to EN 13123/4-2 by the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) in Berlin. The test results of the GranITe in comparison with a standard modular IT-Security room (F90) are more than impressive:
The BAM is the Federal Institute for Material Re-search and Testing and thus the highest federal authority acting within the business field of the Federal Ministry for Eco-nomic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). This testing insti-tute is renowned all over Europe.

Fire ProtectionSome Like It Hot – Your Data and Systems Somewhat Less!
Fire & fire-related damage always was and always will be one of the biggest threats for servers and IT components. For this reason, the DC-ITRoom GranITe was tested in accomplishment with special demands defined in the standard EN 1047-2. The complete room has to resist fire, presenting a considerably higher challenge in comparison to testing a single component. Additionally, the GranITe is ECB·S certified and thereby permanently quality-monitored by a neutral institute.
ECB·S Test acc. to EN 1047-2 F90 Component TestingTesting a complete data security room with all components (door, ventilation slides, cable & piping ducts) during 24 hours at the MPA Dresden. Internal temperature increases of 50 Kelvin and a relative air humidity of 85 % must not be exceeded.
The procedure for an F90 test is limited to a single compo-nent test and not sufficient for IT installation premises. The permitted temperature limiting value increases to 180 Kelvin – being three times higher than the hardware can resist. The F90 test offers just basic protection against fire, but cannot reliably guarantee the integrity of your IT and thus of your data in case a fire breaks out.
