Description:
DC Ranch is a luxury golf/resort community in Scottsdale, AZ. D.C. Ranch is both a destination for families and vacationing “snowbirds”. Nestled in the foothills and canyons of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve it boasts two golf courses, one at Silverleaf designed by Tom Weiskopf and the other at The Country Club at D.C.Ranch by Tom Lehman and John Fought. Both are 18 hole championship courses but can be enjoyed by the casual enthusiast as well as the experienced professional. Silverleaf has a 50,000 square-foot Rural Mediterranean clubhouse with world class spa facilities, pools and fine dining. The Country Club has a 35,000 square-foot Ranch Hacienda Clubhouse with fine dining, tennis courts, a fitness center, pools and a golf shop. Not everything is golf however! Additionally there are two community centers with an 8,000 square foot and a 7,000 square foot facility respectively that include indoor workout facilities, game and meeting rooms, heated pools, tennis courts, basketball courts, plus 47 parks and 33 miles of interconnected trails leading to the Preserve. If that is not enough there is the Homestead Playhouse which has produced 17 plays/musicals since its inception in 2006 and to round it all off there is a concierge that plans and coordinates activities for residents. There are three shopping centers within the community. Market Street, with its rustic main street theme includes everything from a large Safeway supermarket, boutique stores, dry cleaners, offices, and finally to Zagat rated restaurants. DC Ranch Crossing described as a Spanish Urban village includes the upscale A.J.’s Fine Foods, a boutique gourmet market, restaurants and other shops. And Canyon Village includes restaurants, shops and an 81,000 square-foot health club and spa. D.C. Ranch is a short distance off of the Loop 101 freeway giving easy access to all parts of the Valley including Sky Harbor airport. It is also close to the employment hub of Scottsdale Airpark. DC Ranch was developed on the guiding principles of connectivity and healthy living. The community centers with their recreational facilities, the plethora of activities organized for the residents, the miles of hiking trails and parks and even an intranet amongst DC Ranch owners attest to a healthy community of neighbors. Houses range from the lock and leave townhomes with a Tuscan flair, condos, luxury single family detached homes some with their own interior courtyards, to the custom mansions on the hillsides. But despite house styles, families with children enjoy the fact that Copper Ridge Elementary is within their community and children can use the trail system to visit friends. Whether you are buying or selling a home in the DC Ranch area, I can assist you. I have represented both buyers and sellers throughout DC Ranch and surrounding communities. The Setting - McDowell Mountains

Turning into DC Ranch I am always struck by the phenomenal views of the McDowell mountains standing as a stark backdrop to this wonderfully planned community. Soaring up to 4,069 feet, with craggy outcrops, peaks and boulders, it is both a protected preserve and includes a 21,099 acre park. Your backdoor includes 50 miles of hiking trails where Javelinas, deer, coyotes, jackrabbits, Gila monsters and birds roam.
