Personal Space, Adaptability, connected & disconnectedness, security.

The material used for the sleep suit is primarily made out of EVA foam, which is also used for padding and shock absorption in sports equipment. The material is in a textile pattern, with a structural logic to support the weight of the human body. Made from a single sheet of mate-rial, the connection points and thickness of the textile can change to provide varying levels of support and viewability for different parts of the body.

Precedent applied to design

The precedent inspired us to design the cocoon like suit for our design. The logic behind the choice of material is very similar where the precedent used EVA foam, and ours used a combination of inflation and foam.

How can you use this precedent to influence your design ?

Personal Space, Adaptability, connected & disconnectedness, security
