1. INTRODUCTION
• Chetana Empowerment Foundation has undertaken an uphill task of providing platform
to individuals for world transformation through self transformation since Nov 2012. It
has drawn up a comprehensive plan to bring about a new awakening among the Society.
• This organization was formed with the main purpose of individual’s all round growth and
development, which includes physical, intellectual, moral, spiritual and social enrichment
and lasting peace and happiness.
• It is a group of young couples, who, in addition to performing all their regular duties, lead
a life free from unhealthy habits, competition and spend their spare time and energy in
rendering voluntary services for the upliftment of the society. They participate in retreat
and meditation camps to develop positive attitude, strong moral values, divine manners
and all –round personality. Chetana have a strong group of well-educated, experienced
and dedicated team to execute the planned projects.

1.2 Project title: De-addiction Awareness Program
Target People: Labour, Students, Drivers, Slum people and Children, Company workers,
all general addicted people in the society.
Project Area: Aurangabad District
Project Period: 2016 to 2018 (Financial year)
1.3 Project Vision (De-addiction Awareness program) :
• Addiction free society is the need of the time. If one individual in a family is addicted,
then it will spoil or create problem for the entire family.
• To save the School going children and ultimately the society and nation we initiated de-
addiction awareness program and camps which includes message oriented drama (Street-
play), counseling through documentary film, meditation for self determination, one to one
counseling from experts, lecture series and value based programs and experience sharing.
1.4 Brief History of the Project implemented by Chetana Empowerment
Foundation :
1. During the last four years we have organized 50+ programs on de-addiction for the community
of Aurangabad district, as a result of it awareness have been made to more than 20000 students
and 10000 others.
Every month we organized special activities for awareness on De-addiction like, Street plays,
Movie show, PPT presentation, Counseling thru expert faculty, Posters Exhibition, Seminars,
workshop, Literature distribution, and walk for De-addiction campaign for the community of
Aurangabad. During this programs we received good response from the people who were
addicted and wanted to get rid of their addiction.

1.6 Award Received For Outstanding Services of De-addiction Awareness:
Chetana Empowerment Foundations recently got prestigious National level award on 21st
September 2016 from ‘Salam Mumbai foundation’ regarding outstanding work in the field of
de-addiction awareness.
1. 7 Training Program:
Salaam Mumbai Foundation and Chetana Empowerment Foundation organized a training
programme on 5th
October 2016 for ZP school trainers (45) across 10 tehsils (blocks) of
Aurangabad district. On 6th
and 7th
October these trainers had conducted similar trainings in
their respective blocks/tehsils and trained approximately 450 teachers with the aim of tobacco
free school within a period of 24 months. Upto October 2018 our aim is to make 50 schools
tobacco free.

Future Action Plan:
� Support during TOT for Master Trainers and trainings for Block Education
Officer, Block level teachers etc.
� Conduct sensitization meeting with Police , FDA, PHC, Sarpanch etc.
� Facilitate media workshop and create awareness through media
� Monitoring the schools
� Monitoring activities of cluster level coordinator
� Collect monthly information about implementation of COTPA from FDA and
Police
� Facilitate oral check up camp by PHC
� Intensive tobacco control programme in one selected village to make the village
tobacco free
� Awareness program in the school and colleges on De-addiction.
� Awareness program in the slum area on De-addiction.
� Counseling and Guidance program on De-addiction.

6 Months (October 2016 to March 2017):
• NGO Workplace will become tobacco free.
• All stakeholders will be aware of ill effect of tobacco and 50 percentage stake holders will
be made aware of tobacco control law 2003
• Increase in tobacco quite rates amongst the stakeholders.
• All panchayat samitee, Anganwadi, Classes, PHC’s, Police stations, Sub centers, Schools
will be display anti tobacco signage board in the context of COTPA on the enterance of
the premises.
• 10 percentage reducation in tobacco use prevalence in the community who attain the
workshops (health workers, SHG, members, teachers, police personne)
• 20 percentage schools will strongly implement section 6 A and B
• 10 percentage schools will be reached at bronze level
• 05 percentage schools will be reached at silver level
• 1 percentage schools will be reached at gold level
• 1 village will be initiating tobacco free village process.
12 Months (April 2017 to March 2018):
• All staff belongs to their NGO will be tobacco free.
• All stakeholders will be aware about ill effects of tobacco and 80 percentage stake
holders will be aware about tobacco control law 2003.
• 40 percentage schools will strongly implement section 6 A and B
• 30 percentage reduction in tobacco use prevalence in the stakeholders ( health workers,
teacher, police personnel)
• Another 2 villages will be indentified for initiating tobacco free village process.
• All panchayat samitee, Anganwadi classes, PHC’s ,Police stations, Sub centers, schools
will be display anti tobacco signage board in the context of COTPA on the entrance of
the premises.
• 20 percentage schools will be reached at bronze level
• 10 percentage schools will be reached at silver level
• 2 percentage schools will be reached at gold level

06 Months (April 2018 to September 2018):
• 75 percentage schools will implement section 6 A and B
• Total 3 villages will be identified for initiating tobacco free village process.

• 15 percentage schools will be reached at silver level
• 3 percentage schools will be reached at gold level
• 1 village will be completing tobacco free village process.
• Programme will be sustained in their projects.

1.9 Awareness through program and Campaign :
The best method of prevention is by creating awareness. CEF programs bring the much needed
perspective and confidence in participants, while fostering human values and enhancing
protective factors which greatly reduce the risk of substance abuse.
Along with conducting carefully structured programs, the CEF hosts and participates in
campaigns, conferences and summits specifically to address substance abuse and create as much
awareness as possible on the dangers of addiction.
Following are the methods for the awareness of de-addiction program.
1) Awareness program in the school and colleges on De-addiction.
2) Awareness program in the slum area on De-addiction.
3) De-addiction literature distribution.
4) Film show on de-addiction awareness.
5) Seminar on De-addiction.
6) Workshop on De-addiction.
7) Cycle rally for De-addiction campaign.

1.11 Capital Cost of the Project:
For the de-addiction of victims, it is required that an independent residential
complex is available. In this environment the victims step out of their usual stimuli
for a week or two, and receive some counseling to help them gain strength to get
rid of their addiction.
