The survey was sent to 10,245 students, of those students, 5,192 opened the email and 468 clicked on the survey link. Overall, 241 students completed the survey. Highlights Include: 64% of respondents reported that they visit the De Anza website daily or weekly, 6% visit it more than once a day and only 8% visit the website a few times a year. (Q1) 70% of respondents stated that they visit MyPortal daily or weekly. (Q9) 79% of respondents stated that their main reason for using the website is to view the academic calendar/important dates. (Q2) 41% of respondents described that in order to find what they are looking for on the website it requires some effort, 9% said it is very hard or it takes a long time, 42% stated that it is easy and takes only a few clicks. (Q3) 44% of respondents think that they would most likely notice an advertisement for De Anza College on a bus, and 32% reported Facebook or other social media. (Q11)

Subject: Website Redesign Survey

A web-based survey regarding the redesign of the De Anza Website was sent on January 25, 2016 and was

open for two weeks. The survey was sent to 10,245 students, of those students, 5,192 opened the

email and 468 clicked on the survey link. Overall, 241 students completed the survey.

Highlights Include:

64% of respondents reported that they visit the De Anza website daily or weekly, 6%

visit it more than once a day and only 8% visit the website a few times a year. (Q1)

70% of respondents stated that they visit MyPortal daily or weekly. (Q9)

79% of respondents stated that their main reason for using the website is to view the

academic calendar/important dates. (Q2)

41% of respondents described that in order to find what they are looking for on the

website it requires some effort, 9% said it is very hard or it takes a long time, 42% stated

that it is easy and takes only a few clicks. (Q3)

44% of respondents think that they would most likely notice an advertisement for De

Anza College on a bus, and 32% reported Facebook or other social media. (Q11)
