“I imagine that this is what the palace that Simba in the Lion King lives in! It is simply magical. The house is beautifully designed in a most traditional manner. The double height living space and then the upper floor with the wooden bridge like a minstrels gallery is simply out of this world. The house has everything you need for a bush holiday, a well equipped kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, lovely bedrooms with very comfortable beds.

The living spaces are terrific too with a comfortable suite for socialising, a big family table inside and a huge table outside on the stoep. Then there is also the upstairs deck that really feels like the baby lion from lion king should be held up to the animals below. That brings me on to the animals! They visit the house very regularly and as you sit outside (or lounge around in the pool) they just walk up and say hello. It really is better than anything Disney could even have imagined in their wildest dreams.

There is a very nice braai (bbq) area also with a table and benches and a fire pit to give the evenings that authentic African adventure feeling. The service was great and Wilma and Ivo and their representative Adele could not have been more welcoming and helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough. If there is one place where you stay to experience the real Africa, this should be it.”
