 De Villiers 62 Aluminium Catamaran: This exceptional catamaran was custom built between 2008-2009 in New Zealand. A concept for long-range, safe and

seaworthy expedition cruising was used. Designed by naval architect David de Villiers and built by Q-West Boat-builders (specialised in commercial vessels

including ferries and patrol boats). The interior fit out was professionally completed. She is fully equipped and has excellent modern navigation electronics.

There are two 75 Hp shaft drive diesels. The boat has sailed from New Zealand to America across the Southern Ocean and is a proven high latitude catamaran.

The boat has toughened safety glass windows. Aluminium toe rail welded to deck. The boat has 2 watertight bulkheads forward, one near bow, the other 4.2 m

further aft, giving excellent storage for Kayaks etc. Engine rooms are aft of the living space separated by a watertight bulkhead with access through large hatches.
