Chapter 1: Gun Running Negan has heard of an extensive stash of guns located at an old hunting store. He has decided to take a more hands on approach in the near future as his men have been trying to hide the best supplies for themselves and Negan just can’t have that. Negan sets out to score some more guns armed with just a crowbar today (Lucille does need a bath sometimes ;)). He is bringing one associate of his with him, Craig, armed with a hatchet. Turn 1: Craig runs off to the left and searches some boxes he finds in a nearby truck. He is startled by a walker drawn to the hood, but pays no mind to it for now. Negan has similar plans and runs towards a car to the right.

Chapter 1: Gun RunningNegan has heard of an extensive stash of guns located at an old hunting store. He has decided to take a more hands on approach in the near future as his men have been trying to hide the best supplies for themselves and Negan just can’t have that. Negan sets out to score some more guns armed with just a crowbar today (Lucille does need a bath sometimes ;)). He is bringing one associate of his with him, Craig, armed with a hatchet.

Turn 1:Craig runs off to the left and searches some boxes he finds in a nearby truck. He is startled by a walker drawn to the hood, but pays no mind to it for now. Negan has similar plans and runs towards a car to the right.

A walker is drawn towards him, but does not get far enough. Negan searches the backpack in the trunk of the car hoping for a weapon when suddenly….

Booby Trap!

There is a grenade in the backpack! It rolls underneath the rear tire of the car and goes off on the pavement drawing two walkers near it.

“Ameteurs, they can’t even rig a car bomb right. If that was one of my guys they’d be having a date with Lucille tonight…”

Result: both dice wind up blank allowing the center of the blast target to be moved away from Negan. Two walkers drawn to the noise and no damage done to anyone. Threat trackers goes up to 2.

In the Event phase no walkers are close enough to reach Craig and Negan just yet. The event card drawn is Roamers. One walker near Negan hits the car beside him and Negan just lets out a chuckle. Another walker slams into the back of the pickup truck by Craig as well and he is starting to get nervous. However, no melee occurs this turn and there is no business to attend to in the end phase just yet so we move on…

Turn 2:The threat tracker rises 1 to level 3, but not for long. Negan makes a hold your nerve action and is successful bringing it back to level 2. He runs around the car towards the pickup truck on the right side and a walker is hot on his tails. He will have to fight this turn.

Negan tells Craig to just do what he did without pissing his pants. Craig tries to follow suit and is successful with his own hold your nerve action bringing the threat level back to 1 where the game started. He runs around the truck and gets close to the fence in front of him with a walker in pursuit. Sadly for Craig the second part of Negan’s instructions are a little more difficult as a wet patch appears on the front of his pants.

“Wow, wait till we get back to the sanctuary Craig. I can’t be having a wuss like you follow me on missions if you are going to piss yourself at the first sign of trouble” –exclaims Negan

“ssssorry sir”-whines Craig

No walkers are close enough in the event phase to cause more trouble, but the ensuing card Pandemonium does. The threat immediately goes up 1 and 1 walker must also move. Negan calls the walker his way thinking Craig can’t handle himself. Craig is looking to prove himself though and dispatches of his walker permanently winning 3-0. Negan tries to do the same, but the

walker gets tangled in his crowbar and Negan just manages to shove him off in a draw 1-1. Due to the combat the threat tracker reaches level 3. No end phase effects take place just yet.

Turn 3: The threat reaches level 4 and this means we have finally reached low threat, but Negan and Craig are lucky they got to last this long at all quiet. Negan and Craig both have an easy time sneaking to the vehicles in front of them searching for supplies. Negan finds a metal pipe while Craig equips a tire iron.

Craigs low threat tolerance get the better of him in the event phase because the card “Frayed Nerves” draws a walker into the car he just searched. Lucky for him it means he won’t have to fight this turn.

No melee or end phase needed for this turn.

“We’re almost there Craig”-says Negan

Turn 4:The threat reaches level 5. Negan starts with a hold your nerve action, but is unsuccessful. He then sneaks to the right of the fence and eyeballs walker Ronnie who doesn’t notice him. Craig runs around the car zooming by a walker to stop near the left fence. He jumps as that walker comes up behind him and holds out his knife ready to fight.

Surprisingly every walker is JUST short of missing Negan and Craig with their kill zones. We draw “Won’t stay down” and the threat level goes to level 6 with no other effects for now. Craig hacks away at the walkers arm and shoves it over with a kick to the mid-section winning 3-0. Luckily for him it doesn’t get back up in the end phase, but the threat does reach level 7 due to combat.

Turn 5:The threat tracker reaches level 8. Negan realizes that if they don’t get the guns from the hunting shop soon that Craig may start to panic so he tries another hold your nerve roll and succeeds bringing the threat back to level 6. He then sneaks right into base contact with walker Ronnie wanting some blood. Craig feels like he is getting the hang of this walker killing business and wants more practice so he sneaks into base contact with the Atlanta cop walker.

The kill zone is kind to Negan and Craig as it has been all game, but the event deck is not. We draw the very deadly card “The Walking Dead” and the threat immediately moves into medium at level 9. FOUR walkers enter play in the walker zone and immediately run after Craig and Negan. Two go within the fenced area and one walker crawls at the feet of Craig attacking him while another comes up behind Negan grasping for his flesh. Negan and Craig will both have a 2 on 1 battle and are surrounded with 4 walkers behind them and Walker Shane still guarding the munitions in the corner.

This doesn’t phase our villainous duo though…Negan rips the head off one walker with his crowbar eliminating it for good and takes pity on walker Ronnie for now knocking him to the ground winning 4-1. Craig however, barely manages to escape fending off both walkers in a 1-1 draw. The threat increases to level 10 due to combat. Further, Negan and Craig have more issues coming their way as Craig’s walker from before and walker Ronnie both stand back up ready for more in the end phase. This means heading into next turn there are a whopping 9 walkers within

an 8” radius of the munitions Negan and Craig are after. One wrong move could spell their doom

Turn 6:The threat reaches level 11. Craig immediately panics and runs out of the fenced area leaving Negan to fend for himself with a walker chasing him away.

“God Damn it! Get your ass back here before I bash your head in you piece of shit!”-Yells Negan.

“Ahhhh” screams Craig as the walker chases him.

A pissed off Negan knows he has to be smart about this on his own in a ring full of walkers. He fails a hold your nerve action trying to get the threat back to low so Craig stops panicking. Then he sneaks into combat with the final walker between him and the munitions…walker Shane.

We next draw “The Herd” and Negan yells at Craig that he should take the brunt of this effect since he was a coward. The walker furthest from both of them moves towards Craig stopping just inches from him. Meanwhile the other walkers around converge on this walker causing a herd of 5 walkers inches away in front of Craig with two more behind him. It seems Craig got himself in a worse spot than he started.

The threat goes to 12 at the start of melee and Craig once again ends in a draw with the walker fighting him at 1-1. Negan however uses his anger against walker Shane eliminating him from

play with a 4-2 result. Negan is ready to grab the munitions and head back to the sanctuary.

Turn 7:The threat reaches level 13 and is almost into high threat territory. Craig gets a terrified result on his panic roll and tries to sneak back in next to the fence hoping Negan can help save him. Negan sneaks towards the hunting store and performs a smash with his crowbar giving him an extra white dice. He wins 4-2 robbing the place of all guns and ammo. Now he just has to survive the turn to make it back to the sanctuary alive.

One walker moves in on Craig and we draw “Roamers” drawing one more walker into a 2 on 1 fight with Craig. This time he wins 2-1 and pushes one walker back while knocking one walker on its side. That walker then stands back up, but it doesn’t matter because despite Craig panicking Negan has retrieved the munitions and they have won the first mission!
