WelcomeNadeem and Jemma has made a presentation about Deaf in the present.

Lots of people have a lots of idea for new technology for Deaf people to hear better.

Nadeem and Jemma have different technology in their ears.

CommunicationIn past, lots of people haven’t got lots of materials to create new technology, but now, everything is different because we can have free choices to choose our language as in oral or BSL (British Sign Language).

Present, we have different ways of teaching deaf students, like putting deaf children in mainstream and giving them a radio aids to hear teachers talking, that mean we can learn more new things and creates a images in our mind.

There is lots of different of language in the world like British Sign Language, American Sign Language, Blind Deaf sign language and English.

This is all about AB, AB is cochlear implant name AB stand for ADVANCED BIONIC

When I was little, I has hearing aids at first and my mum try talked to me with hearing aids, i don’t hear my mum talked. My mum decided she want me wear a cochlear implant and she guessed it work for me. In the present, I got a cochlear implant but I don’t really like it, I really HATE it but i want hearing aids back!

Technology in Present: Hearing Aids

This slide is all about Nadeem’s experience of being deaf with a special technology called “Hearing Aids” and my one is Phonak.

Nadeem’s hearing aids is special because it run on battery and you can easily change the volume by turning it up in number of loudness.

This is Nadeem’s thought about Hearing aids- I think hearing aids is better because it is all in one place, it run on one weeks battery and we can check our hearing level by audiograms, it is AMAZING!
