Tax I.D. Number 23-7164989 Dear Friend, On May 21, 2020, the Board of Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS) will hold its annual spring fundraising event, Law & Disorder, and we hope you will consider donating to our silent auction. This Board is committed to attracting new volunteers and raising awareness of the excellent work CVLS does in Chicago’s legal community. Proceeds from the event will go towards furthering CVLS’s core mission of providing quality pro bono legal services to the working poor around Chicago. The fifth annual Law & Disorder event will be held at River Roast in Chicago. As in previous years, we are presenting awards to those volunteers who have shown an outstanding commitment to pro bono and the community we served in 2019/20. Law & Disorder is a wonderful opportunity for all professionals to enjoy the spirit of pro bono and the wonderful volunteers who make it happen. More than 250 guests attended the fifth annual Law & Disorder, and this year we hope to increase that number to at least 300. We hope you will join us in our effort. Your contribution will be recognized throughout the event and in the event’s program book where we will promote the silent auction prizes available. In past years, our silent auction was met with huge enthusiasm by all attendees, as almost 20% of our revenue directly stemmed from silent auction sales. We attribute this great result from the excellent items and packages donated by businesses and individuals like you. Your support of CVLS is greatly appreciated. Please feel free to call us with any questions about the event or donations, and visit www.cvls.org/lawanddisorder for more information.
