B E L G R A D E
Belgrade (Beograd) is the capital of Serbia, and has
a population of around 1.6 million. It is situated in
South-Eastern Europe, on the Balkan Peninsula, at
the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. It is
one of the oldest cities in Europe and has since
ancient times been an important focal point for
traffic, an intersection of the roads of Eastern and
Western Europe.
Belgrade is the capital of Serbian culture, education, science and economy. As a
result of its tumultuous history, Belgrade has for centuries been home to many
nationalities, with Serbs of the Orthodox Christian religion making up the majority of
the population (90%). The official language is Serbian, while visitors from abroad
can use English to communicate.
The climate in Belgrade is a
moderate continental one, with an
average daytime temperature of
11.7oC.

Belgrade is in the Central European Time (CET) zone (GMT+1 hour). Summer time
(GMT+2 hours) lasts from the end of March until the end of October.
The official currency is the dinar (RSD), but Euros can be exchanged freely.

COMPETITION RULES
The competition shall be held in accordance to FINA Rules.
Age groups:
Boys born 1997 & 1998 Girls born 1999 & 2000
System of competition:
In individual events 2 swimmers per event per country can be entered, for
relays 1 team per country per event.
The relay panel shall be submitted 1 hour prior to the beginning of the
session in which the race takes place.
Seeding for lane placing shall be based on entry times.
All swimmers must abide FINA rules regarding swimwear.
Medals shall be awarded for top 3 placing. All swimmers must be properly attired for medal ceremonies.
The male and female competitors who reach the highest score of points (in accordance with the FINA points table) shall receive a special trophy.

The competition shall be held in Sports Centre “New Belgrade”
at 2 Autoput Street, Belgrade.
The competitors will be able
to use 2 indoor pools:
50m for training and
competition and
25m indoor pool for
warm-up.
The pool shall be open for
training on Thursday 5th December
from 9 a.m. till 13 p.m.
