It was an extraordinary performance by everyone. Many thanks to all the P5 staff, Scottish Opera and to Towerbank Parent Group who funded the project through fundraising.

A huge well done to the Towerbank Titans who played some exciting cricket against the Holy Rood Hornets this week. The team has really improved with some superb bowling, notable catches, several 4s and a 6! The Titans were ahead until a nail-biting finish ending in a draw at 236-236. Everyone enjoyed playing in the glorious sunshine.
Playground on Friday afternoon The Towerbank Playground is not an open playground. Often on Friday afternoons and after school the playground is used by the after school club for the sole use of children attending TASC. Unaccompanied children should please not use the school playground as they cannot be supervised by TASC staff or school staff.
Towerbank P5's football team had their third match of the season at the weekend away to Fox Covert Primary. The team played brilliantly and despite the wet weather went in at halftime 1-0 up thanks to a goal from Taym Masri. The second half was a close contest but Fox Covert were eventual winners, despite a very spirited performance by Towerbank.
Inspired by the P2 show, Maisie made her own miniature world.
Towerbank Parents Group Help needed:
Library Friday Tidy: The library team is operating a series of drop-in volunteer sessions on Fridays (24th & 31st May, 7th, 14th, & 21st June) to help organise the library. The sessions will run from 9am to 12.20. To find out more please email [email protected].
Spring fair: The spring fair will take place on Saturday 8th June in the school between 2 and 4pm and we need volunteers to help make it a success. There are a wide range of roles we need help with, some of the day, others in the lead up. If you think you could help please email [email protected]
Fundraising Raffle: After 5 years of helping with & running the Christmas Raffle Jo Spencely will be standing down. She is still able to help with this Christmas’ raffle, but not without additional help. The Raffle has raised nearly £2,000 each year so it’s a great contribution to the overall fundraising effort, but without new volunteers it can’t carry on. So… could you and someone you know help out? The more people who get involved, the less everyone has to do! Perhaps you and a friend could get involved… or team up with another parent or parents from your year / class. If you think you could help, email Jo to hear more [email protected]
2019/20 P5 football: We hope to set up a P5 football team for the school year 2019-2020 and need parent volunteers. Previous experience football / coaching would be desirable but is by no means essential. If you are interested please email [email protected] and your details will be sent to the current coaches.
Playspace lead needed: There is a core group of people who currently do various bits of work in the playground and wildlife garden who will continue to volunteer their time and energy, but a new lead is needed. Jo MacDonald would be more than happy to support anyone who is interested in getting involved. Please email [email protected] to hear more.
Dates for your diary:
Thursday 23rd May: Final school uniform order deadline.
Fridays 24th & 31st May, 7th, 14th & 21st June: Library Tidy drop-in volunteer sessions. Please note the session on 31st May will begin after the TPG meeting.
Friday 31st May: The last TPG meeting of this academic year will be held between 9 and 10.30am on Friday 31st May. We're making this a daytime meeting in the hope that more people will be able to come. We know getting out in the evenings isn't easy with young children. All welcome!
Saturday 1st June: Summer discos.
Saturday 8th June: School summer fair 2-4pm.
If you need volunteers or have key dates you would like included in the TPG's weekly update, please email [email protected]
