Dear Parents and Carers

Two assemblies are scheduled for our Edu-Dance finale on

Wednesday 1st July, with the Canteen open for tea/coffee

and cake for parents and a special canteen lunch for the

children of sushi and sausage rolls. The tea/coffee and cake

will be cash only as the P&C have no EFTPOS available in the

canteen.

Parents are welcome to join us at 11:00am for the Junior

Assembly, PP – Yr 2 students and we will start the assembly

at about 11:15am in the undercover area.

Senior Assembly is scheduled for 1:50pm and parents are

welcome to join us in the undercover area as from 1:30pm.

The Canteen will be open for both Assemblies to parents.

In-Term Swimming Cancelled Communications received last week indicated In-Term Swimming Program will resume during Term 3, 2020.

As part of the process, physical distancing and good hygiene practices, which mean a reduction in the

number of people, including students, allowed to be present in venues, and modifications to the program

which means a shorter timeframe for lessons to enable physical distancing requirements will have to be met.

The payment for each student to enter the pool area together with bus costs are astronomical, therefore

the Principal has decided to cancel the swimming program during Term 3, 2020.

Painting of Utilities Boxes Peter Ryan, our local artist, will paint another utility box at the front of the school for us in Term 3 of this

year. Thank you to everyone for your support during our Milo and PJ fundraiser day last week, we raised

$780 to use towards this project.

Loose Parts Play Shed We have a new shed installed to store loose parts

play. We are now in need of the loose parts, so we

are looking for donations of thick rope, hammocks,

wheels, camping tents, boogie boards, small wheels,

milk crates, plumbers pipe with connectors, old

curtains and material.

We also require pots, pans and kitchen utensils to use

in our mud kitchen. Please drop donations to the

front office during business hours of 8am to 3pm.

Reduce Waste at Poseidon We need your assistance to reduce waste at our school, showcasing a day per week where you as parents

pack lunches all in reusable containers. Please help us to reduce, reuse and recycle, showcasing to our

students that we are all Waste Wise Warriors!

Electronic Reporting to Parents Semester 1, 2020 Just a reminder that Semester 1 reports will be emailed to Parents on Friday, 26 June.

If you need to update your email address, or if you would like to request a hard copy,

please contact the school office by email; poseidonps@education.wa.edu.au.

Student Update Forms Student Update Forms are being sent home over the next few weeks. We started with Kindy and we are

working our way up to Year 6. So if you have children in different years or classes, you may get the forms on

different days or weeks. It is imperative that you return these forms, even if you have no changes to update.

Please return the forms ASAP to a drop box in the front office or in the undercover area, next to the canteen.

Please note that if we don’t have a Form 1 – Student Health Care Summary on file for your child, we will also

provide you a blank copy for you to fill out and return with your Student Update Form. It is a departmental

requirement for all students to have a Form 1 on the school records, even if they don’t have any medical

concerns.

What’s happening in the Canteen! Thursday, 18 June (Week 8) is International Sushi Day!

So, on the menu this Thursday we have teriyaki chicken and tuna sushi, yum! We

will also have the usual fav’s still available.

Thursday, 25 June (Week 9) put your jackets on!

We will have warm jacket potatoes with a variety of

fillings on offer.

Wednesday, 1 July (Week 10) Edu-Dance Special Lunch

To finish off the term, we will have a Sushi and Sausage Rolls for the kids! Get

your orders in to avoid disappointment.

All orders must be placed through QuickCliq and keep a look out for our new menu for Term 3, coming

soon!

P&C Coffee and Cake Stall At the EduDance Assemblies, the P&C will have a stall set up to grab

yourselves a hot coffee or tea, cold drink, cake or bickie before

settling down to enjoy your kiddie’s performance.

This will be cash only, no EFTPOS facility is available.

Funds raised from this P&C refreshment stall will be going towards

the new native rain garden. 💚
